Chapter 2: Up side down
The famous Kaori was standing right next to me.I was in shocked that I got butterflies in my stomach. Her uniform suits her. Kaori's body was too perfect. My line of sight was on her boobs as I was sitting and Kaori was standing. Kaori, cleared her throat and then looked at me. She seemed to look nervous too. And then she handed me a letter. I was confused, I wanted to ask her, "am I the recipient of this letter?" But I could not speak at all for I was timid.
Kaori glared at me once again. The world seemed to stop for me, she was indeed beautiful. While I was still in shocked, my dumbass friend— Zekke, shook me and stared at me with a pervert look with his demonic smile. It felt like Zekke wanted to tease me.
Kaori, Interrupted with a quavering tone of voice, "ahh... ahhhm...10:30 in the morning back at the gym. I will wait for you there." She then ran away quickly.
The commotion inside our classroom got louder. Some of them were asking, "what is that letter? Open it and read it out loud!" But I did not mind them. Because I was thinking that Kaori might threatening me.
Zekke teased me, " ha! Probably that's a love letter." My eyebrows met and replied, "a love letter? That is not possible." My voice raised a bit, out of my confusion, "This might be a letter that contains threats!" Zekke, laughed " hahaha! Don't jump in a wrong conclusion, Haise". I smiled awkwardly because my hands were still sweating and the butterflies in my stomach were still there too.
As I looked around, I saw Rika— our eyes met, unfortunately, she just rolled her eyes and walk away. As an overthinker, I, then thought that Rika got jealous.
On the other hand, Kaori, might be too embarrassed because she handed me a letter. No one knows that side of Kaori except for herself and her closest friend— Kudo.
Our first class of the day started. While the teacher was tackling the lessons, I opened the letter, the content of the letter that Kaori handed is the same on what she said a while ago, "10:30 in the morning, back at the gym. I will wait for you there."
I asked Zekke If he could come with me at the gymnasium and fortunately, he said yes.
It was exactly 10:30 in the morning the moment I arrived at the gymnasium with Zekke. I was hesitant because there's a number of students at the gym. Some of them were on the window of their classrooms looking at me. Very unusual, the mob like me got an attention.
I was standing at the corner of the gymnasium, then, I saw Kaori on the other corner with Kudo. To my surprised, Kaori shouted my name, "Haiseeeeee!" It was prolonged. People's attention were on us. I was nervous again, yet, I shouted her name too, "Kaoriiiiiiiii!" There was an echo because the gymnasium was big. It felt like I was in a movie. Probably the weirdest day in my life.
Kaori, was slowly heading to where I was standing. Kaori was holding her own hands and was looking at the floor. A symbolism that she was nervous.
Zekke, pushed me and said excitedly, "go to her!"
I slowly walk to meet Kaori. My hands were sweating and It felt like I was going to pee on my pants out of my nervousness. It felt weird.
The students were shouting, cheering and mocking. At that moment, I could feel that most of the boys who were at the gymnasium were envious of me.
And finally, we met at the center of the gymnasium. We were so close, that I could smell her scent; It was like a sweet strawberry candy. We slowly looked at each other. It felt like time stood still and I was wrapped in bliss.
Astonishingly , Kaori uttered the phrase, "Haise, I like you, would you go out with me?" Her face turned more red than It was awhile ago. She was too cute, I wanted to pinched her little face.
My heart was about to burst yet, I answered Immediately, "okay." Kaori then ran towards Kudo.
I answered "okay"— It may be a cold answer but It was the exact opposite of what I felt.
Zekke was heading towards me and fram afar, I can see that he was smiling. Also, I saw Rika glaring at me and most of the boys too. Thankfully, Zekke, dragged me to leave the gymnasium.
