Love or Duty in the Face of Uncertainly

There was a blade forged with honor, respect, dignity, virtues, and the duty to protect and punish the evildoers to fulfill the "Will of Good", a will that will never be shattered and will continue until no more trace of evil is felt from the world of mankind. There was also a blade forged by agony, misery, terror, revenge, sins, and the duty to fulfill and be free from the hypocrites who declared themselves as "Heroes" with the "Will of Good" as their greatest weapon to manipulate every soul from the world of mankind. They are not called blades, but rather a "Hero" and a "Villain" who bears love for their wills and duty for their roles. Once upon a time, the existence of the word "and" for both the heroes and the villains started to fade away like a glimpse from a stranger's face, a wind that suddenly passes by and never be felt again, or maybe it is the same as the whisper of someone you love that suddenly doesn't fit right to be called "your love", when it slowly fades away another word brighten the world of heroes and villains, "or" came forth to settle everything between Good or Evil. A Hero or A Villain. Between Love or Duty. In the Face of Uncertain Fate, there were a pair of blades clashing and running from the daylight, hiding their sins that violate their duties, exploring their love for someone they hate, a fight between a hero and a villain that fell in love with each other with a sword in their hands and a rose from the other. "I wish to press my lips to yours, but at the same time, I wish to push my sword through your heart. Yet, I cannot because I do not know who should be my companion until the last day I take my breath from this world. Is it Love or Is it Duty?"

The Alpha King's Slayer Mate

[Warning: Mature content no rape or any sexual harassment] “Out of all these women, the King has fallen for that one woman who's trying to kill him!” ────── · · ────── Irene was paid to assassinate the Alpha King Asher, it wasn't her first time killing someone neither it would be her last...atleast she thought it wouldn't be. She didn't knew what grudge the King's enemies had against the King neither did she care, she just loved the money after a well done job. Even though the King Asher already had a future Queen forcefully decided for him he was still looking for his one true Queen and Luna, and when his eyes fell on her his heart recognised her before his brain could. “Mate!” She looked fragile, vulnerable and obedient at first but she was danger in disguise; she was strong, fearless and brave. She was everything that was unexpected and everything he wanted but Irene wasn't here to fall in love with him she was here to kill him and nothing could stop her. ═══|•Excerpt 1•|═══ “So you are here to kill me?” He asked but she could tell by his delighted smile that he wasn't asking her he was just finding the whole situation amusing. “Yes, Your Majesty.” She said, directly looking at him in the eye, warning him that she had no fear of him. His smile grew deeper as he asked the unexpected. “Then what should I do to make you fall in love with me?” “Your Majesty...” She hesitated for a moment but looking at him she couldn't help but be curious. “I'm here to assassinate you.” After getting no response from him she continued. “Regardless relationship between a prey and a predator is always forbidden.” “By predator you mean yourself,” He pointed his finger at her and she nodded joining him in his little play. “And by prey you mean me.” She heard him striding towards her, all the smiles and playfulness gone from his face as he walked towards her with intimidation but she didn't flinch. He held out his hand and gently caressed her cheeks. She didn't reject him neither showed any sign of vulnerability. He came closer, leaning his face against hers, there mouth not even half inch apart and when she was about to close her eyes for an unexpected kiss to show his dominance against her he whispered into her ears. “Fruit always taste better when it's forbidden, don't you agree?” ═══|•Excerpt 2•|═══ He took her hand and placed his lip on it. “Sleep well and have some rest. Today was a long day.” He opened the chamber gate to leave her alone because if he stayed a moment longer he knew he would forget everything and pounce on her. “Asher.” He heard her little voice from behind, even though there was nothing seductive about her voice instead it was filled with exigence for him but the way his name sounded from her lips he felt his last wall of inhibition breaking. He groaned. “Don't!... Don't provoke me woman.” He looked behind him and there she stood, her head down, her hands clenched together. First time in front of him she was showing her vulnerable side to him. Was she sad that he rejected her advances? He turned around and after hearing him shift she involuntarily looked up at him, she flinched as he caught her off guard but as fast as lightening bold strike her face regained her composer again with the mask of lies she wore in front of the world. “Don't worry I will not try to kill you this time.” She challenged him. He closed the door behind him. “You won't be able to lift a finger after I'm done with you tonight.” He brisked towards her taking her up into his arms, his lips collided into hers in an explosion of passion and need untill there was nothing more to devour.
