41 Can We Finally Eat Now?

Crynn POV

One! Two! Three! Swing! And the hyena is flying into new horizons again. I can practically already see the distant campfire, still running from those wild bushes. Hooh! I wiped the sweat off my head, its been tiring throwing this heavy hyena around and still when I look back, those two still hasn't reached halfway, how slow are they. At this rate I'm already seasoned Olympics hammer thrower from all those shots.

One last throw! This will be the last single most epic throw! I readied myself, gripping the legs extra hard, and spinned myself. Release! The hyena is released, oh look at her flying up to the air! One final shot by Crynn Vater! One new record set for mankind! The hyena has landed safely a meter away from the campfire! OOOHHH APPLAUSE EVERYONE!

(A.N : I'm just having fun with the commentary above, not to be taken seriously, hehehehe)

Ok, that just then was a joke, but it did land near the campfire, shocking both the warden and the historian out. Evelyn jumped up and the warden rolled down. (I'll just call the warden, warden because I can't be bothered with remembering a supporter character that exists for only around 20 minutes.) "Did I shock you both," I rolled down the sand and came right up to them, both still looked slightly shocked.

"Is that a hyena!" Evelyn inquired while bringing her glasses to 'inspect'. She neared the hyena and looked at it, "The spotted hyena, also called Crocuta crocuta is beginning to become an endangered species from wild huntings for its skin and body parts, a delicacy to the middle and upper class, its being hunted everyday and chased up to extinction."

Damn, talk about walking encyclopedias, remembering up to its scientific name, I'm the annual high scorer for high school biology but even I am not that extreme as to remember the exact species and name of animals. "I've eaten one of these before, they're delicious," Warden excitedly said while licking his fat lips, is it really that delicious.

"Oh really? I've never tasted a hyena before, is it that good?" Evelyn closed her glasses and circled the hyena for more inspection. "Absolutely delicious," Warden gave two thumbs up, this is not a movie but sure, now I'd really want to try it. After all, an authentic Egyptian complimented it, can't be that bad right

"Speaking of which, where's Jonathan and O'Connell?" Yes, where are they exactly, are they really that slow? "They are a bit late I suppose," I can only give such a vague response, I don't know where they are. "O'Connell! Jonathan! Where are you two," I called out from the campsite, they're just too slow. "We're at least halfway away!" we heard a response from O'Connell.

"See, slow," I blandly said while looking at the sizzling hot fire, I really need to take off this suit. "Why so slow!" I jokingly sent my voice to across the hills of sand, only to result in some curses and insults. I placed my pouch on the camel's back and hung my suit over the camel's humps. I stretched for a bit before sitting on some rocks by the fire.

"I would really like some cactus fruits right now," I grumbled as my throat got sore, I haven't seen a hint of any cactus life in the African desert, I thought cactuses were supposed to be everywhere in the desert. But then, I heard laughter resounding over the fire, to see Evelyn cackling in mirth."Hahaha, did you just say cactuses! In Africa! Hahahaha," what's supposed to be funny anyway.

"And why all that laughter," being slightly aggrieved, I it back at her. "Are you insane, cactuses only grow in America," I coughed a bit or two, cactuses are only grown in America, I don't know about that! I'm not a geographist nor am I a biologist, how am I supposed to know. And even if I knew and I saw someone that doesn't know, it won't even be funny, amusing maybe, but not enough to make me chuckle.

"Finally!" I turned my head to see Jonathan standing on the dunes, tears on his eyes as if seeing heaven on earth. He ran down excitedly just to roll and fall down the hill right in front of the fire. "Are you okay Jonathan!" Evelyn looked at him worriedly, the bond between blood is always strong. "I'm fine Evelyn,, not to worry about a single thing," Jonathan abruptly stood straight and patted the sand off his beige jacket.

"So Jonathan, where is O'Connell," I don't see O'Connell anywhere, and so I turned to Jonathan for some inquiry. "There he is," Jonathan pointed to the top of the hill and there I saw O'Connell emerge in front of the shining moon looking all suave, if only he isn't carrying a hyena with both hands and looking very annoyed and tired.

He slowly descended the mountain steadily, fearing to fall down. He cam right to the campfire and dumped the hyena right beside the fire. And he slumped onto the sand, breathing in and out, "That was exhausting," he grabbed his napkin and wiped his whole face right down to his neck, glistering with sweat. "Avter! How can you not be exhausted!" He exasperatedly said while still wiping his hair.

"I threw the hyena until I reach the camp," O'Connell blankly looked at me for a moment and then another moment, "Sorry what?" O'Connell massaged his head while asking me. "I keep throwing the hyena until I reached the camp," O'Connell looked a bit upset now, did I do something wrong or is he just jealous of not having the same idea. "You mean you threw the hyena over and over again."

I absently nodded, "F**k! Shite! Why didn't I think of that!" O'Connell started grabbing and pulling his hair out while screaming curses. "Calm down, lets calm down," I sweat dropped, what the hell is this. "It's only a hyena, let us calm ourselves down," I patted O'Connell a few times before he rested down on the sand, no expression on his face anymore.

"Uhh, can we finally eat the hyena," I blurted out at the moment.
