NATE'S POV

I don't know how I'd be able to walk if Alvah wasn't beside me to hold me up. After riding the roller coaster it was absurd how she was still fixed to the ground. I'd never seen her laugh so hard before. First, she'd recommended we watch people shrieking their heads off on the roller coaster. Before you judge us, keep in mind we're vampires so of course, a person screaming out of fear had got to get us off to an extent. Then when we got on the thingie, I wasn't any better.

" I hate you. " I slurred as we sat on a green metallic bench in the middle of the park where we'd see almost everything and bask in people's terror without having to be a part of it.

" You don't mean that," she said munching off an ice cream cone.
