"You're telling me you've never heard of the Hornet family? What kind of country bumpkins are you?"

The young woman could tell that Liam was a bit annoyed, and quickly chastised them to earn his favour.

"Now now, they're not necessarily country bumpkins just because they've never heard of the Hornet family."

With a slightly pleased expression on his face, Liam tried his best to sound nice as he admonished the young woman slightly. Although she felt a little displeased in her heart that Liam was trying so hard to gain Evelyn's favour, she was still satisfied with being able to make his impression of herself better. Neither Raymond nor Evelyn entertained Liam's weird attempt at making himself seem like a good person, and they just looked at him with calm gazes.

Liam felt uncomfortable by how calm they were, and he coughed slightly before he started talking again.

"What are you guys doing out here in the forest, looking for spiritual ingredients?"
