CH 01:

[A typical day Maybee!!]

{BREACH OF THE FOURTH WALL}

Well, hello there, my name is Neil; no fancy names like "Neil De Von Khan" or any other fantasy-like names that you can think of. I have a typical family and live in a fully normal environment, but little did I know that this ordinary great day would be a crucial turning point in both Earth's and my history.

(alarm rings**, birds chirping >>))

A youthful 16-year-old adult—as every other teenager wishes to be called—wakes up to the sound of his alarm clock ringing nonstop. He had only just awoken when he realised he would be late for college yet again. Just when he was about to head to. He heard a hard knock at the door, and then it opened right away. She was standing there, an unusually tall woman of 6 feet 3 inches with luscious blond hair and emerald-like eyes that were now fully crimson with rage, yes my mother Annie.

Neil was forced to kneel and beg for forgiveness because he could feel his Neil senses tingling. While this was happening, we could see another tall person behind the woman. He had the blackest hair u could ever find and in contrast, his eyes were shining like the ocean. He is my father Ravinder, the person who everyone thinks is quiet and reserved but when he is on his little mind trips discovering new ways to enjoy life you see a whole new person.

Well coming back to the present, I was currently doing all the things I had to do and making sure to take everything I required for college. My college "Heindsberg College" is not your typical college, with a history of 1500 years it is known as one of the oldest colleges in the world. It is a huge college which I have not yet got to see the ends of, large corridors, huge classrooms and an ancient style cafeteria are some of the attractions of this college.

Classes like usual were boring with the only thing keeping us from embracing sleep being the sports hour. The numerous grounds which this college has to offer make it even better to play the sports you like. Listening to all these some of u might think that I am one of those rich kids being spoonfed by a diamond spoon. But even I am not clear as to how I got a seat in this college as all these were done by my parents when I was in the hunt for good colleges to join.

Finally, it was all done and I was on my way home when I saw a flash of light. When I looked up, I saw a portal opening in the air. I couldn't believe my eyes. I had never seen anything like it before. As I watched, a figure stepped out of the portal. It was a tall, slender woman with long black hair and piercing blue eyes.

She looked at me and smiled very lovingly for someone who I have never met.

"Hello, Neil," she said. "I've been waiting for you."

I didn't know what to say. I was completely stunned. Someone who is a complete stranger just uttered my name this day and couldn't get any weirder with all the portal things already crossing my limits of imagination.

"Don't be afraid," she said. "I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to help you."

She reached out and touched my forehead. "I'm going to give you a gift," she said. "A gift that will change your life forever."

And then, she was gone.

I stood there for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. Then, I turned and ran, I knew that my life would never be the same.

Reaching home I tried searching for any semblance of reality which can prove to me that what I had just experienced was a figment of my imagination, and like a bright light I saw what I need to see the most my beloved mother. I ran towards her hugging her tightly, only for her to hug me back and ask what happened. I just looked at her.

"Nothing Mom just felt like it," I said assuring her that there was nothing to worry about.

The day went on with nothing bizarre happening anymore. With my father returning home I felt that finally everything will be back to normal and tomorrow will be another day of my mom scolding me for not waking up on time and my father just standing behind my mother with a smile on his face looking at both of us.

Little did I know that that day was going to be the last day Earth has any semblance of peace and I will yearn for such days to come in the future
