Chapter 1: Entering The Dream

She raised both hands while tiptoeing to reach the cabin compartment to put in her backpack. She was a petite, short-dark-haired girl, with a nice smile. Although she is not the type to make heads turn when she is in a crowd, she is quite attractive, more to the sweet and well-mannered young girl. Casually clad in jeans and a short-sleeved cheap checkered light blue blouse, she doesn't look her age.

Even though she's already in her late twenties, she doesn't reflect a mature or self-confident young woman. With her simple clothes and no makeup, she looks more like a young girl who has just finished high school.

The latch clicked and she slowly took her seat. "I'm glad I got the window seat," she smiled to herself while putting on her seatbelt. She was feeling even more relaxed and comfortable when she knew she got the whole row to herself, as only about half of the plane seats were occupied. She then read the manual and touched every button she could find to know how it works. Everything was new to her and it aroused her curiosity.

Her mind wanders off as she looked at the clear blue sky above the runway. "What a beautiful sky. I never realized that the sky was this blue. All this time I thought the sky is grey." She chuckled and kept looking out of the window until an announcement was made that the plane was about to take off.

She felt a rush of excitement as the plane took off. "Oh... oh..," she mumbled as she clenched her fingers on both of the armrests. Luckily, no one's using it. She closed her eyes tightly as she felt the plane escalating. "I'm glad no one is sitting next to me. Or else I will look totally dumb."

As the plane flew above the clouds, Tiara couldn't stop looking out, mesmerized by the white cotton candy-like clouds. "It's so beautiful. In the future, will people be able to touch it? Aaaah..... If only I could. What would the clouds feel like? I think it will feel like an airy soft cotton." She giggled as she thought herself being silly.

The sound of the drink cart rattled as it approaches her, making her turn her head nervously. As she was never on a plane, she was not familiar with the sound.

"I'll have water and milk please," she answered as the flight attendant offered a drink. Milk, her favorite drink, always calms her. She thought she needed milk since she was too nervous and excited.

While enjoying her milk, she then took the brochures from her handbag and happily browsed through the pictures of the mesmerizing island and the beautiful traditional huts with thatched roofs, just a couple of steps from the white sandy beach and the calm open sea.

The place seems truly a dream paradise, especially for Tiara. Since she was a child, she always dreamt of living in a simple house on the beach. She puts the brochures back in her small simple black bag and turned towards the window, which exposed the calming and beautiful clouds.

Without realizing it, she drifted into a deep sleep, only waking when she feels the up and downs movements as the plane got into turbulence. Only seconds later, she again went into a deep sleep although now she had entered a beautiful dream. She dreamt she was walking bare-footed on a white sandy beach. She looked across the ocean, seeing nothing but the horizon as if the line unites the rippling blue sea and clear sky into one.

She woke up as her head bumped into the window. It was already dark outside. She put her face on the window but could see nothing. Realizing that she couldn't see a thing, she sighed. "I hate darkness."

She turned and saw the food served on the table in front of her. She enjoyed the food, even when it was unfamiliar to her. "I have to get used to unfamiliarity," she convinced herself. She stood up and looked around the dimmed lighted cabin. Most passengers are sleeping. She decided to do the same, as it is a long flight.

She sat and took the neatly folded blanket and eye mask laid on the seat next to hers, and in moments she was in another dream.

She dreamt of falling. It was a nice morning. She was taking a leisurely walk. Everything was so bright, that it hurt her eyes. She tried to cover her eyes, trying to avoid the extremely bright sunlight, when suddenly she felt herself falling, rolling and falling... as if the fall will last forever...

Am I still dreaming?

The nice sweet smell made her want to open her eyes. "Why is it so hard to open my eyes, why am I so sleepy?" she thought to herself and forced her eyelids to open, but she was in for a shock. Even though her sights were still blurry, she knew that she wasn't on a plane anymore. "Where am I? Where is this? I was in a plane" she spoke loudly and nervously.

Two figures, one of a man, she guessed was in his late 30s and one of an older woman watched over her. The woman patted her forehead, but strangely enough, Tiara could not feel it. "Did she not really touch or is it a dream so I don't feel the touch?" questions start to build up in her mind. The woman smiled and said with a sigh, "you're alright now, just take a rest. It seems you are still a bit delirious. You said a plane. Ha? What is a plane?" she chuckled as she moved towards a door.

"She doesn't know what a plane is? What is this? Where am I ?" She said as she tried to get up. Tiara didn't get her answer yet, because something made her drowsy. While still in a confused state, and as her head still felt heavy, Tiara couldn't fight the drowsiness and so she slept again. Only this time she woke up with a clear head and with a shock.

"It's not a dream. Where am I? Am I dead?" she shouted at the top of her voice. The man moved his body slowly towards her.

"Ah, you're awake," he said, looking at her shocked expression.

"Don't you dare come near me! Where am I?" She said while holding her blanket up to her neck

"I'm not going to do anything. Tiara, don't you remember me? he said in a deep calm voice.

But before he could continue, Tiara screamed, "How do you know my name?" What happened to me?"

He took a deep breath and spoke in a deep voice. "Tiara, I am Ryoma. We have known each other for a long time."

"Impossible, you are older than me, and I've never known anyone named Rio," Tiara spoke sternly.

"I am Ryoma," he said his name clearly as if he doesn't like his name pronounced incorrectly.

"I still don't remember you." Tiara shook her head firmly.

Tiara was just about to speak again when he puts his finger to his lips. "Please listen first. You fell when you were picking blueberries. You didn't see the edge. Luckily, you didn't break any bones. And I think, you just need time to remember everything.

"Blueberries? I've never in my life picked blueberries. I was on a plane." The quiet Tiara started to panic. Her mind was in turmoil. "Am I abducted? Am I dead?" Those are the only things that first come to mind as tears started flowing.

"A plane? You must have dreamt that you are back in time. Not to worry, you will soon remember."

Back in time? Tiara felt her throat getting dry and she couldn't utter a single word as if the words got stuck somewhere in her throat. She was in pure shock especially as she noticed his clothing. It was not a T-shirt or even a normal shirt. He wore a sleeveless shirt, made of some kind of heavy fabric tinted in gold. He also wore a white and golden wristband. It was as if he was from another world.

She then sat up and felt her clothes. She looked down and gasps as she saw what she was wearing. It was a long white gown trimmed with a golden lining on the edges. Similar to his.

'What year is it?" she asked sobbing.

He raised an eyebrow as if not understanding what she meant.

She sighed, and tears starts to flow heavily. She was devastated and felt so helpless. Never had she felt so helpless in her life.

True, she has had waves of darkness in her life. She became an orphan at 9 years old when her parents died in an accident and since there are no relatives, she went into a foster home, where at 18, she had to find her own living space. Although never been homeless, she was on the brink of it. She found out that it is hard to find a job, even a part-time job. Every interviewer asked about her address, and when they realized she has "no home", they refused to accept her.

Until one day a company accepted her with a minimum wage, way below other employees, but she was grateful. "At least I'm not homeless", she repeated the sentence over and over again as if reminding herself that she is no one and should be thankful for whatever life has given her.

She was so deep in her thoughts that she jumped up when a firm hand touched her shoulder.

That surprised Tiara. She couldn't feel anything when the older woman touched her. "Why couldn't I feel her?" She was getting more confused, that tears went flowing.

"Don't cry. You are safe here with us." The voice entered her ears and even though his sentences seemingly showed he understands the pain she's been through, Tiara felt there was something in his voice that made her feel that he was getting impatient.

She sniffled and tried to control her confusion and tears. "I've been over rough times. I'm sure I can still handle it." She said to calm herself.

"What is the name of this place?" she said in a soft-spoken voice

"We call it The Place short for Tiara's Place."

She repeated it slowly and felt a bit strange in pronouncing it.

"Why does it have my name? She asked, trying to calm herself.

He did not answer.

"Why is there my name on it? Tell me!" This time she spoke in a persistent loud voice. Even she doesn't know that she could speak like that.

"You've helped to keep this place safe, so the community decided to add your name as a remembrance. The tip of his mouth made his smile look like a sneer. Why do I have this feeling, as if I had the sixth sense? I have never felt like this."

As if sensing her difficulty in processing it in her mind, he said, "Just think of it as your home, your land, Tiara's home." he said with a smile. But something in her sensed that it was not a smile. It was a forced smile.

Ryoma looked at her closely. "I will tell you what you wanted to know later when you are better. I will leave you alone now. I'm sure in a moment they will bring in your food. Finish it, you will need your strength." and closed the door quietly behind him, but still with a thud.

She was in such shock and confusion that she couldn't utter a single word. She didn't even dare to move. She eyed every detail of the room. It was not a place where abducted people are kept, as she have seen on the news. It was a medium-sized room, She just realized that it is a simple yet beautiful room with a dressing table near the corner, adjacent to the door.

"A dressing table?" I've never had one in my life. She slowly got up and moved towards the table. She sat down on the round padded chair and reached for the gold-lined hairbrush. Then she raised her face to look at the mirror. "Yes, I'm still me. Although my hair is a mess," she sighed while moving the brush between her hair. It felt good even when unanswered thoughts still filled her head.

"Maybe this is the answer to my wishes. I did say I wanted to explore, to have a different life. I even left nothing when I started this trip, no family, nothing. Maybe this is a way to give me a different life." She straightened her shoulders as if to collect her inner strength and took a deep breath, hoping to be able to breathe in all the courage she needed. She smiled as she remembered the name of the place. "It has my name. Maybe it's my destiny to be here. Even if I'm dead, maybe I'm in heaven," she thought while her fingers moved along the edges of her dressing table, feeling the finely made wooden table.

There was a soft knock on the door. Without waiting for an answer, the door opened slowly and a girl's face peeped through the slightly opened door," I'm sorry to disturb you," she said.

Tiara got so surprised when she heard the accent the girl spoke. It's as if she's British. "Am I in the UK?" She quickly shook her head as if to get it out of her mind. "No, no, it's okay"

"I am Anne" she introduced herself as she walked in.

"I am here to attend to you until you are well since I am the one responsible for your wellness. The accident was my fault. I didn't see you walk towards the edge."

"It was my fault." She repeated. Her body shook as she explained the incident which was like what Ryoma had said. Her voice trembled as if she was terrified.

Tiara was getting more confused and wanted to ask, but she felt pity for the young girl, so she said, "I'm okay now, I'm sure it's not your fault."

After a moment, Tiara said, "Could you get someone to see me? I have a lot of questions to ask."

The girl nodded without saying a word, then walk quietly out of the door.

A few moments later, there was a knock. A young man of her age stood in front of the do?" He said softly.

"Is there anything I can do? Anne told me you wanted to talk to someone."

"I'm Tomo," he said in a friendly tone. And to Tiara's ears, his voice sounds truthful and friendly.

"I... I'm sorry to bother you. I did not think twice when I asked the girl if I could see someone to answer my questions."

She continued, "I... I just want to ask you. Are we in heaven?"

"Does it look like heaven to you?" He answered her with a question. His eyes twinkled. Tiara could feel his kindness. "No, this is not heaven, and you're not dead, Thank God." He sounded relieved while glancing at the untouched food.

"You haven't eaten yet," Tomo said while walking towards the untouched food as if he wanted to change the subject.

Tiara did not dare continue her question. Instead, she fumbled with her spoon while saying. "I was going to eat."

She scooped a spoonful of what seemed like a plate of potato salad and scrambled eggs at the side, with slices of tomato and cheese. She took another spoonful and hurriedly pushed it into her mouth. She didn't realize that she was so hungry and the food was so good. In just a couple of minutes, she has finished her food and now enjoying a warm earthy soup.

"Aah, what amazing food. I enjoyed it sooo ... much," Tiara said, emphasizing the word 'so'.

'I'm glad you did."

"Oh, Tiara, by the way, please do not mention that I came to see you. I just had to see you, to see that you're alright."

"I promise."

Upon hearing her answer, Tomo left hurriedly, before she could stop him.

A couple of minutes later, the door opened. It was Ryoma.

"I can see you've had lunch. As now you are full and looked better, if tomorrow you feel you are well enough, we'll go outside. I'm sure you are curious about what it looks like on the outside." He went out and closed the door behind him without saying a word.

Tiara sat on her bed. Looking around the room. Everything was white. The furniture, her clothes, even the bed sheet.

The next morning, she woke up as the sun's rays touched her face. She hurriedly washed her face. She wore a white suit with golden edges, that was already neatly placed for her on the dressing table.

After collecting all her confidence, she walked to the door. "Will I be able to open the door?" she asked herself while remembering that she never heard the sound of a lock being turned.

She holds the steel handle tightly as if needing all her strength to hold it, and the door opened easily. She gave a sigh of relief. That's when she realized Ryoma was already standing near the door. She jumped a step back, never expecting to see him there.

He did not react to her act. He just holds the edges of the door to keep it open so she can walk past him. Just as she stood outside the door, all she can see was white. It was a beautiful white meadow. She can also smell the fragrant smell of fresh herbs. "So this is the scent I smell when I first woke up," she said to herself.

"Amazingly beautiful," she sighs.

"This is only a small part of our place, "Ryoma said. "Let's walk up a bit so you can see the view from the hill there." He pointed straight to the small white pebbled road.

She followed and on her left, she saw a picturesque view of cows, lambs, horses, and goats, even donkeys grazing on, white greenish grass under the warm sunlight. "a white grass? There is no white grass in the world. Could it be this is not earth?" She dared not voice her thoughts as he saw his solemn expression. There was something inside her that told her to be careful.

On the other side, she could see a pond, with ducks and swans. "It's really awesome". This time, the water is blue.

"Yes, it is," said Ryoma as if knowing what she was thinking."

"It is all thanks to you and all the hardworking people here."

Before she could ask what he meant, he said, "I will explain to you later on. For now, just enjoy."

She did enjoy being at this place, so she just kept quiet.

They reached the top, and with neither of them saying anything, it totally felt peaceful. Tiara slowly sat down on the white-greenish grass while keeping her eyes straight on the waters way below. She just couldn't take her eyes off it, as if she was so mesmerized.

"I've never seen anything like this," Tiara said to herself. Remembering her childhood days when her parents had planned to take her to the seaside. She remembered the night before when the doorbell rang as she was watching television, remembered how she got up hurriedly to open the door, thinking that it must be her parents coming home. But the sight of two police officers and what they conveyed at the time, shattered her dream and her future life.

That was the time she knew her parents had died in an accident because a drunk truck driver drove to the opposite lane and straight away slammed into her parent's car.

Tiara suddenly realized that she was too immersed in her thoughts, and the sadness came creeping back. She apologized as tears filled her eyes.

"It's okay. You were so focused on your thoughts," Ryoma answered. "What's on your mind? If you need someone to talk to, I will be here," he continued with a smile. A smile that looked just like a line on a face. Not a real smile.

Tiara smiled in return and shook her head. "Maybe one day I will tell you all about myself. Not the Tiara that you knew," she added.

They both smiled and continued their thoughts. A serene and quiet atmosphere can be felt by both.

As Tiara was so immersed in her thoughts, she didn't realize that Ryoma was watching her closely.

They stayed there until the sun starts to set.

"Thank you for staying with me," Tiara said as she stood up

"Let me walk you to your temporary room and tomorrow, I will take you home."

"So that's not my room?"

"No, you have your own house, not just a room.

"Who's room is this?" she asked as they neared the small hut.

"No one, it's just like a guest room, or used by those who want to get away for a while." He answered. She can feel a tinge of boredom in his voice.

"Are you reading my mind? He said, abruptly facing her.

"Read? No, no. sorry if I made you feel that." she was startled that he asked her. Did he feel that she was assessing him?

Tiara was about to open her mouth, but she decided not to and choose to just wait until tomorrow. After all, what is there for her to do?

"Do you need someone to stay with you?" Asked Ryoma.

"No, I'm used to being alone, thank you," she said as she closed the door

She sat on her bed, looking at the fruits on the bedside table. Will my life here be this good? Or will I face reality tomorrow? One thing that she felt different about herself was that she can feel people's emotions. She knew whether a smile is heartfelt or not. Something that she never knew before. She then lay her head on the pillow, tucked herself in between the soft blankets, and slept soundly.

Tiara woke up as she heard a couple of soft knocks on the door.

"Come in," she said.

The young girl from yesterday showed up carrying a breakfast tray. The plates on it are filled with bread, slices of cheese and ham, and also an omelet filled with slices of tomato. plus a cup of black coffee.

Tiara's mouth watered as she took the tray. The girl exchanged the tray and took the tray from yesterday.

"Anne, can I ask you something?"

Anne's eyes opened wide as if she was afraid to hear the question.

Tiara sensed that, so she just said, "Is it always so white here?"

The girl only nodded, but before she could leave, Tiara asked, "Who is Ryoma?"

She looked doubtful as if she was afraid to answer wrongly, 'He's the boss." And she left hurriedly and nervously.

After the girl left, she ate hungrily as she was really hungry. After finishing all of it, she starts to make the bed and went to shower. The warm water healed her sore limbs, and she was fresh again.

She noticed the small cupboard but on the inside, there were only white suits, pants, and a blouse. Her jeans, checkered blouse, and bags were nowhere to be seen. "I cannot ask Ryoma about my things, and the girl might be too afraid to answer."

She decided to leave the question unanswered and wait for the right time to ask. She quickly dressed and head towards the door, wondering if now she could open it or not. It opened with just one click.

As she walked out of her room, Ryoma is heading toward her. It was when she clearly noticed that the figure is heavily built, tall, and had brown tanned skin. The kind that would attract most women, but not her. She just felt that something is not right. Something that made her fear him.

"Ready to go home?"

"Uh huh, " Tiara answered shortly, though her heart is pounding hard and fast, wondering what she would find. She certainly doesn't have any clue.

Tiara had to keep up with Ryoma's big steps. so once in a while, she has to take small leaps or even small quick steps.

"Am I walking too fast?" Ryoma asked suddenly.

"No, no, I'm alright. I can keep up"

"Can I ask you a question? Tiara continued the conversation.

When Ryoma nodded, Tiara asked, "I don't see any vehicles here. No cars, no public transport nor motorcycles."

Again Ryoma nodded. "Yes, but we have bicycles," he said with a twinkle in his eyes. Then he became serious again, "There are a couple of trucks but only for special purposes and an ambulance at our tiny hospital. Oh, and also fire trucks. Other than that, no, we don't have any. All of us walk, since its a not a very large place, we can omit transportation which can cause pollution."

After a short pause, he continued," We try to live as naturally and as healthy as possible." He stopped in front of a small thatched-roof house. "Well, here we are. Your home sweet home." I will continue to my office while you can relax at home or do a little bit of walking, but don't get lost, I hope. And..... oh, groceries are ready for you." he moved sideways while his hand made a gesture as if politely letting Tiara enter her house.

"Where is the key?" Tiara asked.

"In The Place, you don't need any keys. It's totally safe. Guaranteed." He smiled and waved to her.

She then took a step towards the front door. It opened automatically. She was even more surprised when she got to the kitchen. It was as if she was in a futuristic kitchen. The countertop, the oven, and everything are just like in the sci-fi movie. the very different atmosphere from the guest room, which felt more homey and familiar.

She ran her hands on the countertop, accidentally scanned her hands on a button at the brim of the countertop, and suddenly there was a layer of steel, closing in on the windows and doors. In panic and shock, she ran to one of the doors, but when she opened it, all she could see was a steel wall.

She was trapped inside a room of steel walls. She ran back to the accidentally pushed button. She pushed it again and again, but nothing happened. She was still trapped.

"Even if I shout until my lung burst, nobody will ever hear me." She was devastated and almost cried in anguish when suddenly, the steel walls moved and she can see the blue sky again.

The front door opened and Ryoma and Tomo were standing there. "Forgive me. You must be so scared, to feel that you are trapped inside, Tomo said." He looks worried.

"What happened?"

"I guess we shouldn't wait until tomorrow," Ryoma said to Tomo, who looks at her, signaling not to show that she met him already.

"This is Tomo, our Head Specialist. He is a genius, responsible for all the technology. He and his team have made the best security possible for the people here."

Tiara just nodded. She wasn't yet focused. Her heart still pounding. She was also short of breath. The thought of being locked in totally stupefied her.

"I've never been this scared in my life," she exclaimed, as she got her voice back. "What is this?" she demanded an explanation.

Tomo replied, "Well, let's go out and you will see what your house looks like when the steel walls close in." Tiara followed him, not knowing what else can she say or do. "So, either you or each of the owners of the house or my team can make the steel walls become a barrier for your house. As you can see, your house is now just a box of steel. It even closes the roof, in just a couple of seconds.

"If there is an emergency of some sort, you will hear sirens. If you are at home, stay inside and close the house. But if you're outside, head to the nearest place. Whether it's your house, a public place, or another house. Head there straight away to find safety," Tomo explained. There is a concerned look on his face.

"B..b.. but you said this place is safe." She looked at Ryoma. " Yes, you're safe, as all the people here are good people. But we are not safe from scavenges or others trying to destroy us, " he answered. "There can be a battle. Although we try to avoid it with your help."

Even when she doesn't really understand what he meant by 'my help'," she just kept quiet. Everything is still hard to swallow.

"Now, let's go inside. I will continue explaining, and if you have questions, just ask," Tomo said in a friendly tone. His voice sounded sincere.

"Now, you accidentally found the button and cannot undo the closing. For precautionary reasons, there is another button to undo it, but it's on the other side of the table. it was meant that no one can mistakenly touch the wrong button. There is also one set in the basement.

"Basement?"

"Oh, it means that you haven't found it yet. We will show you after you've seen the bedroom."

They walk towards the bedroom. it looks exactly like the guest house bedroom. It doesn't have that futuristic feel like the living room and kitchen, and just felt homey and cozy.

"Like it?" Tomo asked as he saw her face brighten.

"I love it. How did you know?"

"You used to tell me about your dream. So I made it just like what I perceived from your stories."

Ryoma seems impatient and walked straight to the bathroom. Both followed, noticing the tense moments.

"As you can see, it's just a simple bathroom. But please look at yourself in the mirror." Tomo ushered her to stand facing the mirror.

"Just say, open sesame"

"You're joking right?" Answered Tiara.

Tomo smiled and shook his head. "Although yes, I find it funny," he smiled. "Just try it"

"It's got to be a prank. And I will look so silly doing it, so you'll die laughing" Tiara took a deep breath and said, "open sesame". Slowly the base of the shower opened and stairs can be seen. "For the senior citizens, we have installed an elevator," he added.

Tiara was so appalled by what she saw. "They weren't joking." She walked down the stairs and she could see a large room with a bed and a pantry filled with food and drinks, mostly canned, and milk cartons. "There are no plastic bottles here because it interferes with nature." As if Tomo knew what she was thinking.

In the corner, from the slightly open door, she could see that it was a bathroom, the same size as the one upstairs. She walked to the other side of the room, where there was another door, but a bigger one.

"What's inside?" she asked

"open it", Ryoma said " and tell me if it's familiar to you"

Tiara walked towards it, not knowing what to expect. As she came close, the double doors opened and lights turned on.

"Wha.. what is it?" she said. Her mouth gaping.

"It's your survival machine," Tomo said pointing at the black oval thing, which is only a bit bigger than a pod in length and width."

"It's a pod," she exclaimed.

"So you know," Ryoma said while giving the thumbs up.

"I don't. I'm just guessing. Since you said it is for survival. And I once saw something like this in a sci-fi movie."

Both men laughed. This time it is not a movie or even sci-fi. "Yes, this one is a creation of a genius head, his" Ryoma pointed towards Tomo. " He's the genius and he made this thing."

Tiara moved closely. "Does everyone have this in their homes?" she asked.

Tomo nodded, "As it is for survival, so each person has one made especially for the person," Tomo explained. She put her hand on the body of the vessel, and the black vessel immediately changed color exactly like the color of her hand.

" Haaah? What just happened?"

"This vessel can change color according to the environment it's in, so it has the perfect camouflage for any situation. It can even be transparent if needed." Tomo explained while walking around the vessel.

"It's a very special vessel. It's mostly not human-operated. It has its own intelligence. It has its sense of humanity, and sense of helping, so whenever there's distress, the vessel will be ready to assist. And most importantly, the elderly can be transported to a safe place, he said, moving to one side, and the body of the vessel slides open.

"As I said, it is mostly not human operated. My team and I created such a system that the elderly can be taken to a safe place if something happened, and Yes, anything can happen since a lot of humans still carry their bad habits plus bad inner personality," Tomo added. A hint of anger could be heard in his voice, and Ryoma's expression showed a hint of dislike as he heard it.

"What is it between those two?" she wondered.

She was brought back to reality when Tomo said, "So, in short, the vessel will take all of us to a safer place. Though we don't really know, where the safe place will be. But the vessel can make a decision, about which is the best. Whether it is to land somewhere or hover until it's safe to get back. All you need to do is just get in, and let the vessel do the work. If you want to have a conversation, you can talk to it. You'd be surprised by its sense of empathy."

Tomo stopped for a moment then continued, "And oh, medical assistance also can be given by the vessel Anything else you'd like to know?"

'This guy always thinks of the elders and the weak," Ryoma cuts in.

Tiara nodded although she couldn't believe what she just heard. "Yes, there are lots and lots of questions in my head, but I think I'll digest everything first. 'Uh uh, there's really a lot I have to digest." she said while taking a deep breath.

"Not to worry," Tomo said. "I'm sure you will remember everything in no time."

The men left, saying that Tiara will see a lot more tomorrow.

She was about to go back into the house, but then she decided to take a look and have a walk around her neighborhood. She can smell the sweet scent of the only white flowers, the white trees, and nature as a whole. "It's been so long since I felt this fresh." Being used to city living really doesn't give her any chance to be naturally healthy. And mostly cheap frozen food is all she eats.

She bent down to look at the small white flowers between the lush white-greenish grass. She was so surprised to see a lot of flowers which she had never seen before. She was like a kid in a candy store. Smiling all the time, taking a look at all of the flowers, sniffing them, and feeling the petals. Although she was a bit disappointed, as everything is mostly white."So it must be like every day is Christmas, but without the snow."

Tiara suddenly remembered her clothes. "Aaah, I totally forgot about my bag. There are the brochures and my id and cellphone inside. I never realized I didn't have it until I want to take a photograph of these flowers." She talked to herself, and as if putting some sense into her head, she continued, "I can live without my cellphone, can't I? Don't ruin this beautiful life just because of a cellphone," she said sternly as if reprimanding herself. She even knocked her head with her knuckles, as if saying, knock it off. Don't be childish. Act like an adult.

Then she continued her walk. It was then she saw a small white-painted shop. It was so pretty, that she decided to walk in. A middle-aged woman greeted her with a big smile.

"Hello, nice to see you again," she said.

"Do you know me? Tiara asked.

"Yes of course dear.," she answered as she got out from behind the counter. "How can anyone here not know you?" she chuckled and bend down to take something from the last row. It was a package. "It's ready. I've been wondering when you will take it. Here dear, I really hope you like it."

"Of course, I will. I've been wanting to see it." Tiara lied. A little white lie, she thought, so as it will make her happy. She accepted the package and hurriedly went out of the store. She didn't want to tell any more white lies. After murmuring an inaudible excuse, she went out of the store.

She decided to go home as she was hungry and the sun had also started to set.

In the kitchen, she walked to the kitchen window, trying to see the sunset. It really is beautiful. The whole place is amazing, and until now, they're all friendly. She took a plate and opened a can of spaghetti marinara. After heating it up a bit, she sat on the couch, slouched, and scooped a forkful of spaghetti. It was then she saw something near her feet. "God, I forgot about the package. I'd better open it, so I can say thank you tomorrow." She ripped the paper and took out a beautiful hand-made white blouse embroidered in gold threads. "It's beautiful. It's the most beautiful blouse I've ever had and decided to wear it tomorrow.

Meeting Jun

She woke up with the sun shining through her bedroom window. She didn't know what time it was since there are no clock in her house. So she decided just to get up and take a shower. Feeling fresh and ready to go, Tiara prepared a glass of milk and an apple for breakfast.

Not long after, as she decided to sit outside, a small rather skinny man approached her. He was about the same age as Ryoma. Just average looking, but a bit geeky and his skin was so pale as if he had never gone outside. He introduced himself as Jun. "I was so shocked when I heard you fell. But I was so relieved when I heard you're okay, but I think you are having a bit of confusion due to temporary slight memory loss."

"Ehm, does everybody know that I fell?"

"Of course. We're a very close-knit community. News spread fast. Especially if it concerns you."

"What? why me?"

"You will know shortly. Don't force yourself to remember. Take it easy. My team is always ready for you.".

After a short walk, they got to The Office as they called it.

Suddenly, a voice said, "Ah, so I see you've met dr. Jun." It was Tomo.

"Yeah, I picked her up." He said while ushering her to the lobby.

"You're a doctor?"

"Yes, haven't Ryoma told you?"

"Sorry. Haven't found the right time." The deep-voiced Ryoma answered.

"So because there's no need for introductions, you go with Jun and just follow his instructions," Ryoma continued.

It is a two-storeyed building. "So far, I haven't seen any two-storeyed buildings. I have only seen cottage-like houses, meadows, ponds, and the sea. Maybe starting from this point on, there will be buildings." she thought to herself. She shrugged as if she wanted to brush off her thoughts.

On the inside, it was very white. no other colors, not even wooden-colored furniture or something. She squinted her eyes in trying to reduce the harshness of the whites.

"Too bright for you?"

She nodded lightly while still following Jun to the end of a corridor. The big door opened, automatically, of course. Everything seems to be automatic, no need to touch anything.

There was a high-backed chair, with its back against one of the walls, a table, a couple of monitors in front of it, and lots of other monitors on the walls, facing people in white jackets.

Jun walked inside. There are 2 chairs facing each other, which were adjacent to the high-backed chair.

Tiara looked around her in detail, trying to remember every inch of it, trying to remember if she had ever been here. But still, nothing comes to mind.

"Are they all doctors?"

"Please have a seat," while he sat on the other chair and said," yes, most of them are."

"For now, I don't think we need to go there," pointing to the high-backed chair with monitors, as if he read Tiara's mind and know that she expected to be seated there for an examination of some sort.

"Now," he said clenching his hands. "Please tell me about your dream. "What did you dream of and what do you remember about this place? Even is if it just a slight memory or something which you may think of it as of no importance," he said seriously. "Believe me, nothing is unimportant."

Tiara paused for a moment. Feeling doubtful. She felt herself not really trusting him. She just had this gut feeling. Other than that, she was also in doubt about whether he will believe her. "What if he doesn't believe me? What if he thinks I'm lying? Especially as I'm starting to forget the tiny bits and pieces, of my life." As the realization of not remembering the details hit her, Tiara closed her eyes while putting her hands covering her face. "Am I losing my mind?"

Jun jumped from his seat on seeing Tiara covering her face.

"What's wrong?" he said putting his hand on Tiara's shoulder.

"Nothing ... nothing... I seem to start forgetting things. The little details, the bits, and pieces. Am I losing my mind?" she said in a panic, her breath panting. "I don't remember the slightest bit of this place."

"Wow, take a deep breath. In... out..." Jun started to direct her to breathe normally. slowly... slowly.... inhale deeply... push it out from your mouth. Good... Good."But even though Jun's voice was really reassuring, Tiara still can't push away the feeling of doubt. But in the end, by focusing her mind, Tiara was able to calm down.

He sat down again but this time his face was mere inches from her. "Nothing's the matter with you. It is just a process. You are not losing your mind. And never think that I will think of you as a liar or anything. I do believe you." Again it is as if Jun can read her mind. Or can he? What about the others can they read minds too?

She now felt a bit different from before. Jun's way of talking felt less threatening, and Ryoma's persuasive way of talking, almost makes her feel safe and more relaxed. But only almost. Though she's not in a state of panic anymore, she still cannot erase the feelings of doubt.

Jun started to move back and sat in a relaxed position, his back pressed on the back of the chair, his head leaning a bit. A gesture to show that he's relaxed, has lots of time, not at all in a hurry, but it doesn't make Tiara calm down and relaxed.

"So, what are the small things that you forgot?" Jun looked straight into her eyes.

"I... I'm not sure. I remember that I was working and then flying by plane for a very-needed vacation. She also mentioned that she slept and woke up as she felt the turbulence. And the next thing was being here. I don't remember how I got here. I do remember my childhood. But why couldn't I remember this place?" She sounds devastated.

"Tiara," he said in a small voice. "Not to worry. Everything will be okay. A dream is not to always be remembered. You are here now."

"Do you like it here? Which life is better?"

"He doesn't listen to me. He just seem to want me to forget the life that I had. It's not a perfect life, but it's my life."

Tiara didn't want to sound ungrateful, so she said, "of course, I love it here. It's so peaceful. I don't know, but I felt that maybe I belong here."

"I'm glad. We all are."

Tiara thought, why did he use the word "we"? Whose glad for me to be here? but she decided not to ask. I don't want to be more stressed. I want to enjoy my time here. I want to enjoy the moment, and I'm not sure if I even want my boring old life back.

"Let me do a short check on you, then you can come with me to see your workplace, explore, and just enjoy the day."

"Can we do it another day, "I'm still really confused and tired. I think I want to rest." Tiara got up and started to walk to the door when she saw Ryoma standing by the door.

"So you disobeyed the doctor huh? But since you're just getting better, I think we will let you off this time. But next week, you really should have a check-up."

Tiara nodded. "I will," and walked past Ryoma. Her heart pounding as f she had escaped from an eagle's claws...

Proof of my old life

She spent her days at her house. She didn't go out at all. She felt herself changing. She knew she was just an ordinary office girl, with a few mental abilities. Yet now, she felt she was able to feel strongly when something was about to happen. Just like when Tomo visited. Before he even entered the garden, she knew that he was coming.

You do know that I was heading to your house, don't you?

Tiara said nothing. As he went in, Tomo said, "You are starting to have your skill back, right? It's a good thing because I really need you to be the Tiara I've known. This Place needs you. Even though now it doesn't make sense to you. You will soon understand what I mean." he looked at her seriously, then continued, "All I'm asking is for you to follow your instincts, to follow your mind. Don't put your trust in anyone. And don't let anyone change you," advised Tomo.

Tiara thought of Tomo as a very serious young man, but Tiara doesn't have the feeling of doubt like when she was with Jun or Ryoma.

That evening, she stood in the doorway. She felt that Anne was coming secretly. True to her senses, Anne came carrying a bag and went straight to the living room. Just before she entered, her hand moved as if she was turning off a switch.

"Please don't tell anyone. I brought you these." Tiara looked inside the bag. it was her jeans, blouse, and bag, complete with boarding ticket, id card, brochures, and cellphone."

Tiara couldn't believe what she saw. "It means I really was on a plane," she murmured.

"Thank you, Anne. I won't tell anyone... but... where did you get these?"

I was not far from where you fell. I was the first to see you. You were in these strange clothes so, I ran home and changed your clothes. I hid it, I don't know why. I just thought that those things are important to you. Then I told Ryoma that you fell"

"Before I fell, did I live here?"

"Yes, yes, You are a very nice person. Everyone loves you. You always help us. Did you forget?" Anne looked sad

"Don't worry, I will have my memory back." She touched the back of Anne's hand softly, to reassure her that she was okay."

"I have to go", Anne said. "But as she was at the door, she said," don't forget to turn the camera on. Tell them that you made a mistake." Then she ran."

Tiara went in and tried to imitate Anne's hand movement, and the camera was turned on.

"Are you okay?" a voice on the other end could be heard.

"Yes. I accidentally turned it off. Sorry."

"I'm going to turn it off again. I need my privacy."

She took her things, wondering where she can hide them. She found a steel box, put everything in it, and hide it in the basement.

The next morning, after a week, Ryoma came and took her to see Jun who was already in his room waiting for her. He almost didn't say anything, but just asked her to sit down on the same chair as before. Tiara felt a coldness in him, but she brushed it off. "He's a doctor. so I should trust him," she mumbled to herself.

He took out a small blue glass ball and put it in between his palms. Can you focus on this ball for a couple of seconds? Tiara did as she was asked, and immediately she felt a surge of hot flushes. Tiara stopped focusing. Jun again asked her to focus. After a couple of times, a feeling of happiness crept in. That feeling stayed with her. She no longer feels worried about her past or her emptiness, prior to coming here. She just felt calm and blessed, but it seems, she never lost her awareness.

"What's downstairs?" she asked all of a sudden. She heard lots of voices, male and female.

"Oh, it's the school. The school will end in a couple of minutes. Would you like to see it? Jun said, accompanying her down the stairs. Tiara followed and could see a hallway lined with doors on each side. Each door is adjacent to another door.

"Are there many students here? "

"Yes, quite a lot. Starting from 3 years old until 15. The university students are in another building, complete with labs, libraries, garages, and everything they need to help nurture the environment and also keep everyone safe.

"Why did they always talk about being safe? Why did they always mention peace and safety, why did they also build a pod? What is it for? But I don't think I need to ask now. I'm just going to enjoy my day." Tiara mumbled to herself.

"And tomorrow, tell me how you feel, and also your thoughts. Especially your deepest thoughts," Jun told her

Tiara raised an eyebrow. "Why do I have to tell him my deepest thoughts?" Just as she questioned it, he gripped her by her arms as if to reassure her that everything will be alright. But that move totally surprised her. Did he know what I'm thinking? From now on, I have to be more careful when thinking about something."

In the afternoon, she went to see The University, which is further south. A really large campus. There's a basketball court, baseball and football field. There's a swimming pool and outside benches to hang out. "It's really cool," But then she noticed something different. They didn't carry any backpacks and their clothes are all the same. No jeans and T-shirts. Yes, they're wearing some kind of uniform. White pants and shirts with gold trimmings. Gold, something that she noticed when she first woke up. It also seems that they are from all races.

"It's really beautiful to see everyone talking to each other, saying hi, smiling. "I don't see anyone being alone or indifferent. Yes, some are walking alone, but there's an aura of peacefulness, contentment, and bliss. Does everyone here has a positive aura and attitude?"

"Is there a library where I can borrow books?" she asked one student.

"Yes of course. Actually, we're going there now. It's a public library. "Are there any specific topics that you're interested in?

"Ya, history." she quickly answered as she walked with the student.

The library looks the same as all houses, except "LIBRARY' is written above the door.

"so here we are. I have to leave you now. I'm sure you can find your way back."

"Thank you," she waved to the student.

She stood there until she was alone. She stepped inside, hoping to see rows of shelves with books. But all there are, are rows of white comfortable chairs with a white side table, and a monitor.

Tiara walked to the glass counter. A young girl behind the glass smiled and ask if she could be of any help. "What kind of history? History of humankind? History of nature?" she asked when Tiara told her, she was interested in history.

"Wow, how should I answer, I asked myself. So I just say, Nature."

"Ok, you can enter H001. "

"Can you assist me ?"

"Oh sure, no problem," she instantly answered and walked to the rows of chairs. "do you want to sit near the window like usual or maybe you prefer the corner seat?"

Tiara looked around and decided to choose the corner seat so she won't be distracted by the view.

She really wanted to know everything about the past, before she forgot everything. Somehow she felt that she is now in the future. With all the new technologies which she never knew or even heard of before. Even though until now, it. seems like nobody's going to tell her what year it is.

Having listened to the instructions on how to operate it, Tiara sat and leaned, trying to get the most comfortable position.

"H001". She inputs the code on the monitor and the title 'History of Nature' appeared. The film started by showing intros of beautiful gardens, mountains, rainforests, rivers, beautiful sandy beaches, and even rice terraces, which she only learned about it in school but has never actually seen it.

Suddenly she felt a light tap on her shoulder. "It would be advisable if you go home now. There's a possibility that the sirene will be turned on," the girl said softly.

Tiara nodded, but as she was going to turn the monitor off, the girl said, "go now. I'll take care of this."

Tiara left hurriedly. Just as she entered the living room, the siren could be heard. And the steel cover is closing in. She was alone in a steel box.

She hurried to open the basement latch and went down. She doesn't know what to do, so she just huddled covered in her blanket, on the sofa.

The wait for the sirene to end made her sleepy. So she dozed off for a couple of hours, and it turned out it was already nighttime.

Tiara wanted to go upstairs but she dared not. So she stepped into the kitchen and opened the fridge. A cup of ice cream might fill her up and calm her down.

She went back to the sofa and had a strange dream of her childhood.

The repeated dream

The tv was on in the dimly lit room. A family of 6, watched the news anxiously, including a 2-year-old toddler, sitting on his mother's lap, tightly holding his toy train in his left hand and a toy truck in his right, as if he knew what was about to happen, and was afraid to lose his favorite toys. While a little girl sat close to him.

There was an older boy sitting alone. An older woman was seen sitting on the sofa.

"Floods and earthquakes seem to be happening everywhere," said the mother.

"Listen, the fire burnt most of the forests." said the older woman, who may be the mother of the eldest child. Her looks were similar to the father of the 2-year-old and the little girl, only a few years older.

"Let's pray and hope God will spare us from experiencing disasters." the father said.

All of them lowered their heads in a praying position, except for the bigger boy who looks like he is attached to the fire blazing on the tv.

Hours went by and they slept huddled in the living room. They were woken by a blackout in the early hours. "Get your survival kit," said the mother. Everyone hurriedly prepared their own backpacks.

"Don't forget your hot drinks and bottled water," the older woman said

The rain had started. It was a downpour with flashes of lightning. One of them opened the garage door and the much-needed things were already in the car trunk.

The six hurriedly locked the house and the car went through the still-empty streets heading to higher grounds. None of them uttered a word. Everyone seemed to be in extreme tense, except for the little girl who was sleeping in her mother's arms.

"All we need is to get there, and we will all be safe, the father said.

The car turned left and went off the street, heading to a smaller winding road. Almost 3 hours went by before they reached an open wooden gate.

They drove straight in and stopped in front of a cabin. It was at the end of the road, almost at the top of a hill, Quite far from the forest. In fact, it was far from anywhere.

The father took out a telescope from the house and pointed it towards their house below. "God, if we were a few minutes late, we would be dead. God help the people below," the father mumbled as a huge wave of tsunami destroyed the city.

Some seem to survive, as they have reached higher grounds, some already reached the highway which was unreached by the waves. They all cried as feelings of the gladness of surviving and sadness for others are muddled into one. Only the eldest boy was in full rage.

He couldn't stop looking into the telescope, into the disaster, even when his mother told him to come inside.

"No, I'm looking for my father," He said, and stubbornly refuse to do as he was asked.

"You all left him there," he shouted.

"That's not true. Your father left us. He never believed that we could find a safe place,"

"And he was not a good person," said the mother, reaching for her son. "I'm sorry to have to tell you this way, but that is the truth."

The boy wrestled his way out of his mother's hug. "NOOOO... You are all lying."...

Tiara awakened with her head throbbing, her eyelids heavy. She barely could open her eyes. She only managed to pull her almost falling pillow, back to its place, before she slips back into the dream which continues as if it has a sequel.

Only this time, the family only consists of an older woman and a baby girl. The mother looked as if she was old enough to be the grandmother. It can be seen that the baby had a close bond with her grandmother who always kept the baby in her arms. When the mother felt something negative, the baby cried quietly. When News Break announce the catastrophe has reached a wider area, suddenly the grandmother jumped up and swiftly carried the baby.

She put the baby in the baby chair and checked whether the position is rigid and not wobbly. She then made a tent structure above the baby and cover it with a fireproof blanket.

They both wore thick hooded winter jackets and boots, although it was not yet winter.

The car has iron bars on all windows and the inner side of the door was lined with steel. Even she had installed snow tires. After closing the car door, she went behind the steering wheel. She checked the other backpack filled with baby milk and food and then started the car.

They almost reached their destination, when suddenly a snow storm hit the area. Cars skidded and landed upside down, hitting other cars. The mother raised her left hand as she saw a car flying towards them and swung her hands lightly as if she was repelling mosquitoes, while her right hand stayed holding the steering wheel, keeping the car steady. The cars seemed to be flying away from there, avoiding the crash. Then she lowered her hand slowly to land the cars safely. Cars on fire can be seen in the middle of the road. She raised her hand as if opening the car doors and moving the cars to the sides so they can pass. The baby then cried, and the fire goes out. She can see people clambering out of their cars, with only slight injuries. "thank you, darling," she said softly.

"I'm sorry, that is all I can do," she said as if whispering to herself.

The car kept on going in spite of the heavy snow. After about 4 hours of ride, they stopped. The mother opened the rear door, changed the baby's diapers, and ate the pre-made sandwich while not letting go of the baby. It can be seen that she loves her baby girl so much. "Baby love, sorry that you had to experience this. And all I can do is try to keep you safe. I know you can understand me, even though you're still a baby. Your father and mother are in a faraway place, but they're okay. And I know that you have a golden heart when you cried to help put out the fire." She kissed the baby's forehead and said, "Thank you. I know that you will be able to use your power in the correct way, for a good deed"

They continued their journey to the mountains and stopped near a lake. The road ends there and a dense forest lay ahead of them. As they walked, the trees made way for them, as if the forest are honored that they went through and in seconds closed again behind them. They headed to a cabin which is rather similar to the other dream, Only this time, the fireplace was already lit and the cabin was warm.

The dream was cut short, and Tiara opened her eyes. Her head was not throbbing anymore. She sat up on the bed, thinking, "Why did I have a dream like that? Did the catastrophe really happen in real life? Who are they? Do I know them?" she asked herself. Then she remembered that she was sleeping in the basement when the siren rang.

She hurriedly went up. The window has already opened. So it means, everything's okay. She made hard-boiled eggs to fill her sandwich and prepared to go out.

This time she went the opposite way. She did not want to go the same way that she and Ryoma went the past few days. She wanted to know what was on the other side.

The sky was so blue, and the air so fresh. It was a quiet morning. She can only hear the sound of birds chirping. As she walked, she looked up at the sky. There's not a single bird flying. So where does the sound come from? She shook her head, trying to shake off her curiosity. 'Don't think too much. Enjoy yourself." she knocked her knuckles on her temple.

In the distance, she could see a building of steel. "I wonder what that is."

She was about to go near the building when a thought crossed her mind. "Aaah, I should ask Ryoma first, I think. I don't want to get on the wrong foot with him."

Tiara just walked past it, she brushed off her intention to enter. Her attention soon got distracted as she saw a huge or you can even call it humongous dome. As she got near it she can see the biggest variety of types of birds she has ever seen, and it has colors!

She was so excited that she without realizing it, had opened her mouth in awe. Just when the voice of an older man was heard. "More than amazing isn't it?"

Tiara looked towards the sound of the voice. "Yes, truly amazing."

"Come in child. My sons and I are saying hi to each of them. Would you like to come with us?"

She nodded as she thought that she was invited, so no need to ask Ryoma's permission.

She was truly thrilled as she went inside.

Beautiful birds chirping or singing." You can say hi without even having to voice them. They will be really happy. We talked to them every day, so we know when they're ill or sad."

"You're just like dr. Doolittle, aren't you?" she said cheerfully.

"I guess you could say that." He laughed a big laugh.

They walked side by side, saying hi, and Tiara realized that there are numerous kinds of birds.

"We have every species from all over the world. Even from areas that most people haven't heard of.

"Unimaginable that you can collect every species there are."

"Yes, it's because of a genius who has a heart of gold. He saved almost every species from destruction, and I'm glad we helped.

"Destruction?" Tiara asked.

"It seems that you haven't fully recovered," said the old man. The earth is in destruction because man did not nurture nature. Forest was gone and animals had almost nowhere to live. So it was as if it was between animals and humans. It was like, the strong will survive. The bad will over the good people."

"it was then he appeared. He was a super genius, with a super kind heart. When the animal species were almost extinct, he took a couple of each kind of animal, big or small. To stop them from being extinct. My sons and I love animals, so we help and we're constantly grateful and indebted for saving the animals and us too."

"And as you can see, we only make a separation between the birds of prey and the others. We still cannot make them docile. Maybe because it is in their nature, and we can't change them. It is as if it is in their DNA to be a ferocious species. I think this theory can also be applied to humans. If it's in their DNA to be evil, then we cannot do anything. But, this is only my theory. An old man talking about the bird's theory." he said, shrugging his shoulders and they both laughed. Tiara certainly enjoyed being here.

"Excuse me for asking, but why are you not at the picnic?"

Tiara looks puzzled. "Picnic?"

"Aah.... would you like to come with us? We're almost finished here."

"I'd love to. I have never been to a picnic," she said truthfully.

"Wait here." He went inside, and a couple of minutes later, he and his sons showed up. His sons were older than Tiara but as friendly as their father.

The three walked up to the route which Tiara had passed the last few days. As they got closer, she saw children and families gather in the park. Picnic mats were spread on the white greenish grass. As she was walking closer when one of the children held her hand.

She was hesitant, wondering if the mother would be okay with her child holding her hands. The child tugged at her hands and she followed. She didn't want the community to think she was arrogant or some sort. Besides, she really would like to join in.

A young woman waved at her and signaled for her to come. It was the child's mother. She was full of smiles.

"Hi. I made sushi," she said while patting the picnic mat for her to sit on.

"I hope you like sushi," she continued pointing at rows of wrapped rice and fillings. "I made California rolls, and I've made enough for everyone. I hope you will like it."

Tiara blushed." I've never had one or even heard the name," she said truthfully.

"Try it. Tomo taught me how to make it, and I think it's good, although I cannot compete with Tomo's sushi.

"Of course, I will try one, Tiara said cheerfully. She surprised herself since she was never been this casual and comfortable with people before. Yes, the former Tiara was a shy and quiet little mouse, with minimum self-confidence. Yet now, she could join and have a conversation in a comfortable way."

"I love the new me," she said to herself. As she said the words, it was as if she had closed a chapter of her book and started a new one.

A young man walked toward them. It's Tomo. The young mother was clearly happy to see him. Tiara couldn't get her eyes off him. He seems more relaxed, not as serious as the Tomo she met a couple of days before. They all had a good time, especially Tiara.

From a distance, two people were intently watching her.

"Look at her, she's back," Jun said relieved as if tons of loads on his shoulders had been unloaded. "I knew it would work, and her dreams last night will be the last connection."

"Do you think she has totally got it out of her mind?"

"Yes, I'm sure of it. She will be The Tiara. The one that we know. As I predicted, if she loves this place and loves her personality, she will definitely be the special Tiara. And we certainly can take advantage, without her knowing." The two laughed while walking toward the picnic..

"After last night's attack, We really need her to be The Tiara," emphasized Ryoma. "I'm sure she will. Look, without her realizing it, she now knew everyone's name and has become a part of us."

When he saw them, Tomo excused himself and walked toward them. He was just in time to hear Jun say, "As I have suggested before, what she needs is happiness. So when she felt happy just now, she is again part of us. To help us keep this place."

"And we couldn't have thanked you more," said Tomo as he joined the two of them. "Come let's join and celebrate," Tomo said, ushering the two to join the picnic.

Laughter filled the air. Everyone seems to enjoy themselves. Tomo may look as if he was having a great time, but he's always keeping an eye on them.

A picnic was always held after an attack. It is to help remind everyone that life is short, they should enjoy whatever's time is left, even the shortest time they had. And that they should also be thankful and grateful for whatever life brings them. And here, every single person is supposed to hold on to the belief.

The community also believes that they are created to fill in a role in life and that each and every role is entwined with other roles. So even if you are a janitor or a gardener, you are important. No role is lower than others.

Work and jobs are some of the words the community does not use. No words or terms that sound or felt degrading, can be used. Respect for others is what everyone should have.

Work and jobs are looked at as actions done by a person to receive a reward in the form of money, while the role is your part of life, which you carry out, not for the money or because it is obligatory but because you knew that what you do will affect others and could disrupt the circle of roles.

Has Tiara forgotten everything?

"How would you carry out the test to know whether she could still perform her role? aked Ryoma, walking beside Jun.

"I'm sure I'll find the words tomorrow. But the main thing is, I have to continue the test, exactly like before. I mean before Tiara is not Tiara."

"Ehm, I thought I heard my name," Tiara said laughingly and caught up with Ryoma and Jun.

They pretended not to be startled, and Jun said, "of course, I mentioned your name because you play a big role in the test that we are preparing for tomorrow."

"Ah yes, the mental test. I remember it of course. I think I had enough rest and I am ready", she said. Just at that moment, she heard someone calling her. She then ran and hugged the woman that she knew. Her vibrant laugh could be heard.

"She's Tiara again. It certainly feels good to see that. A pretty picture, right?"

"Sure is. Thanks to Jun," said Tomo. " oh, by the way, what mental test will you be doing tomorrow?"

"Nothing special, just to see whether she has no behavioral deviation."

"I cannot agree more that Jun played a big part in Tiara's health. But after the attack yesterday, I can't be more relieved that you're the Head Tech. Your system totally works," Ryoma said holding his thumbs up.

"Don't forget the chain, I can do well because of the others," said Tomo.

"True. What a wise guy." They laughed as Ryoma and Jun walked together. As they had their backs on him, Tomo watched them carefully and mumbled to himself, "What are you both up to now? All you wanted was an obedient Tiara. What if she is not as submissive as you want her to be?"

"I will not let you make Tiara your slave, I promise you that," said Tomo clenching his fist.

"You have a good sense of judging people."

Tomo turned around and saw 'dr. Doolittle" standing behind him. "I see you haven't sharpened your senses yet, but you already have that feeling. Try to trust your feelings," he said.

"If you feel they are not to be trusted and have something up their sleeves, then you should believe in what your heart says."

Sir, do you believe in Tiara?"

"I am not supposed to say. You should trust your own judgment, in every step that you take. I'm sure you will be able to find out the truth."

"I've known the two of them ever since I came here. and I've worked with them. Why do I feel there's something not right with them?"

"Okay, I think I should ask you this question. Do you know the difference between working with and working for?"

Tomo went quiet. He felt the words hit the spot. "You are right Sir. I should have known it long before. I have felt it for some time, but I keep denying it."

"Well then, that is all I have to say." Then he turned and left

"What about Tiara?" Tomo asked quietly, afraid that someone might overhear.

"So what about her?"

"Do you trust her?" Tomo asked again.

"As I've told you before, I cannot answer that."

"Be your own judge. Talk to her, and watch her closely and objectively, so you can know whether to trust her or not.

"All I can tell you is, be careful Tomo. You have a heavy burden on your shoulders. Think of what steps you think is the most important thing to do. If you feel, they are not the most important for now, so be it."

He left Tomo who still has to face his own problems and judgment.

Tomo kept standing, looking at the sky, and abruptly walk quickly to his workshop the steel building that Tiara saw.

Tomo had his mind full, so he didn't notice the two watching him closely. "What do you think of Tomo? I think he's avoiding us."Ryoma said.

"I agree, I think he's hiding something from us. Before the accident, he and Tiara were almost a team. Both are getting hard to handle. Now at least, Tiara is in our grasp, we can let Tomo have his fun for the time being.

"We'll just have to see what Tiara will do next."

Tiara now spent most of her time with Jun, in the Practice Room, a place where Tiara sharpened her mental abilities. Tiara was excited to see that she has the ability to move and control things. Although sometimes she got the feeling that he was actually surprised that she improved. She often felt that he actually wanted the opposite, to see her abilities decrease. Although he often mentioned, in Ryoma's presence, that he is helping Tiara to improve.

Tiara, on the other hand, felt that she is now happier and more outgoing. She felt that she won't miss the old boring Tiara, although once in a while, she felt that her ability to telepathize, to sense the future, which she never knew she had before, was not used the way she wanted to.

She also felt that her ability is growing, really fast, there are additional abilities that she had but never told anyone about. She was afraid to tell anyone, so she kept it to herself. She also felt her physical ability also increases. she didn't tell Jun, because she sometimes felt the coldness of the heart in Jun, and she still cannot trust him.

This evening, as she got home, she felt exhausted, so she decided to make herself a full meal and a big glass of milk and go to bed early. It was just after she closed her eyes, that her dream started. The dream was about a family of six. She felt she knew them, but she didn't know where. This time they were a few years older, living a happy life. But all of a sudden, she felt a shadow pass the family of six, At a glance, she saw the oldest boy look at the little boy with hatred.

Her dream ended and she woke up, remembering everything. If this was just another dream, I wouldn't have remembered it this way. "Who is that boy?" She could only ask herself the question, without knowing the answer.
