A love so unexpected

I always wondered if people can really be destined. Will it be possible ? Is it true ? I wondered at times if it is right. But now that I have evidence I can't help but believe it. Should I say it was proved to me? Maybe, kind of. That meeting someone once again is not always a coincidence. Until I met him again, that day, which changed my life and you'll see if it was for the better or not. It will be the best thing ever if you were to be destined to your most loved one. Right? But love at first sight doesn't happen all the time.

I look up from my lap to see my mother chatting busily. I came with my mother, more like she ordered me to and I did. We were sitting in front of a couple who were speaking to my mother right now. It looked like they were quite close and knew each other well. I never saw them till now though. But I can tell that they were not just business partners, but more than that. I ignore them and from the moment we've entered I didn't listen to any of their conversation. My mind keeps drifting to what might be the reason she brought me here. I was just sitting while they chatted and my mind keeps wandering. I turn my head to look away from my fiddling fingers and at the doors of the room that just opened and a guy in a suit enters the room.

And due to the light coming from outside, I squint my eyes. I could only see the silhouette. I couldn't see the face clearly. As he walks into the room his face gradually comes into my view. The moment I recognize him, I could see my life go upside down. I would have never expected it in my wildest dreams that I would be in this situation in front of him. My jaw was already hanging from the shock. He looks at me and I could see his eyes grow wide with shock just like mine, when we made eye contact.

Now that I see him clearly all the memories have come back flooding as well. Things that happened a few days ago flashed in front of my eyes again. Now when I see his face, I didn't know what emotions were rushing through me. It all started at that time.

Few days ago

Can life get more suffocating ? I look around the hall. I could see people around me who have fake smiles and facades, men with their fake dignity and women with fake smiles. So double-faced. The real fake world is always in the rich. I smirk and look around once again. Just so they could gain what they want, the people here act as if they really respect one another. Everyone knows the true colors of each other and yet they act like they don't.

How stupid of them ! I sigh heavily not able to take this situation anymore. I didn't want to stay here anymore. These people who think are aristocrats were speaking to each other and I could see at the corner of my eyes that my mother was busy as well. There are pretty less chances of her noticing my absence and now I don't even care if she does. This was most basically a business party, so I had nothing to do it, which just made it worse. I knew no one in here nor do I want to. I look around once again and spot my mom's secretary. I walk up to her, I remove my tie and put it in her hands.

" Don't wait for me, I will come back later". With that I left the place without even looking back, not even for her reply or reaction. I left the place in a flash. I couldn't feel more peaceful than I am after coming out of that place. This party is taking place in one of the top hotels of the city and it has a bar as well. I was thinking of going back home or having a drink happily by myself. I glance at both the sides. After giving it a thought, I decided on the latter. So I went into it.

Coming out of that place has given me peace and now that I enter this place I could feel a bit calmer. Even if the noise is still present, the feel is definitely different. I entered and found a booth and ordered a drink. I sat there waiting for my drink and glanced around the bar. I check the time and I can still stay for sometime. I look up and could see a few guys who were enjoying themselves. I sneer at my own fate which was playing with me. I get my drink soon and start sipping it. I look around and find a guy who just looked up at me with a smirk. I wondered if I know him, but it doesn't look like it. I have never seen him till now. I wonder if he knew me. I was confused at his gaze that landed on me. My eyebrows are knitted and I rake my brain. Nowhere in my memories do I find his face. What was he thinking ? I find it a bit strange. He looks down at his drink.
