Demons Fate

In Zarya, magic means everything. Every living creature had a certain amount of magic at its disposal. Depending on strength and form, one was placed higher than others. Every magic has many different types and styles, some people even had multiple magic affinities they could use. They were called the awakened ones. Apart from the king, they had the greatest power in the entire kingdom. In the fight against other races and troops they were far superior. Because not everyone agreed with the hierarchy, many tribes were formed that rebelled against the system. For almost 500 years there had been a war between these tribes and many other races. The kingdom had only one goal: absolute dominance. Under the impression that their system was perfect, they used all means to expand their territory. After many clear victories the other races and tribes decided to unite and to stop the humans. Shortly after this pact their fighting strength was balanced and the kingdom began to lose many battles. This balance still prevails today. The tension is still big, even though peace has been maintained for 100 years now. But the new King Botoras has other plans and is only fixated on reigniting the war and achieving a final victory. So it shall come to a fight again, which shall prove the difference of magic power once and for all. The 16 year old Kuro and his friends are about to take their magic test, soon they will be placed in society and thus determine their fate. But as it turned out, fate has other plans for Kuro. Plans that will challenge the balance of this world and how it functions. *This story will not follow the typical hero pattern. In fact it will be a very dark and sinister story. I've got a lot of ideas about the story and the characters development.* *Also, this is the first time I'm writing such a story so feel free to leave feedback. I like working with the community so any kind of feedback, e.g. critiques and good parts are very much appreciated.*

Kingdom of the Pearl of the Orient

In the waning years of Spanish colonial rule in the Philippines, a young boy named Alfonso XIII was proclaimed King of Spain in 1886. However, being just a child, his mother, Queen Maria Christina, ruled as regent in his place. Queen Maria Christina adopted a somewhat lenient policy, granting the Filipinos a degree of freedom while still keeping them as subjects of the Spanish monarchy. As time passed, the Philippines remained under Spanish rule until it was finally passed on to Alfonso, Prince of Asturias, in 1920. But Alfonso, wise beyond his years, saw the plight of the Filipino people and understood their deep desire for independence in their hearts. He made a momentous decision – renouncing his claim to the Spanish throne and requesting to govern the Philippines instead. Surprisingly, the Spanish monarch agreed to this arrangement, and Alfonso was given the unique responsibility of managing the Philippines as a separate entity. But unknown to everyone, the original Alfonso, Prince of Asturias, died due to drowning accident and was replaced by Miguel Reyes. In a world reminiscent of the early twentieth century but with a twist, Miguel Reyes, a brilliant scientist, engineer, military enthusiast, and businessman from the Philippines, found himself in a strange predicament. After a fatal car accident in 2023, Miguel was granted an extraordinary second chance at life. He awakened to find his soul inexplicably reincarnated into the body of a prince in a distant land. Confused and disoriented at first, Miguel soon discovered that he was inhabiting none other than the young Alfonso, Prince of Asturias, decades before his untimely death. Realizing the significance of this opportunity, Miguel knew he had to act wisely. He had lived a life devoted to knowledge and progress, and now he found himself in a pivotal position to change history for the better. Armed with the knowledge of Alfonso's fate and aware of the impending struggles faced by the Philippines, Miguel resolved to take a different path. Join Alfonso (Miguel Reyes) on a life-changing experience. Will Miguel Reyes find tranquility in his second life as he governs the nation and steers it towards greatness? Or will he face the shadow of a conspiracy lurking within the borders?

Prince eli

My life IT is with a kind of fear that I begin to write the history of my life. I have, as it were, a superstitious hesitation in lifting the veil that clings about my childhood like a golden mist. The task of writing an autobiography is a difficult one. When I try to classify my earliest impressions, I find that fact and fancy look alike across the years that link the past with the present. The woman paints the child's experiences in her own fantasy. A few impressions stand out vividly from the first years of my life; but "the shadows of the prison-house are on the rest." Besides, many of the joys and sorrows of childhood have lost their poignancy; and many incidents of vital importance in my early education have been forgotten in the excitement of great discoveries. In order, therefore, not to be tedious I shall try to present in a series of sketches only the episodes that seem to me to be the most interesting and important. I was born on June 27, 1880, in Tuscumbia, a little town of northern Alabama. The family on my father's side is descended from Caspar Keller, a native of Switzerland, who settled in Maryland. One of my Swiss ancestors was the first teacher of the deaf in Zurich and wrote a book on the subject of their education–rather a singular coincidence; though it is true that there is no king who has not had a slave among his ancestors, and no slave who has not had a king among his. My grandfather, Caspar Keller's son, "entered" large tracts of land in Alabama and finally settled there. I have been told that once a year he went from Tuscumbia to Philadelphia on horseback to purchase supplies for the plantation, and my aunt has in her possession many of the letters to his family, which give charming and vivid accounts of these trips. My Grandmother Keller was a daughter of one of Lafayette's aides, Alexander Moore, and granddaughter of Alexander Spotswood, an early Colonial Governor of Virginia. She was also second cousin to Robert E. Lee. My father, Arthur H. Keller, was a captain in the Confederate Army, and my mother, Kate Adams, was his second wife and many years younger. Her grandfather, Benjamin Adams, married Susanna E. Goodhue, and lived in Newbury, Massachusetts, for many years. Their son, Charles Adams, was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and moved to Helena, Arkansas. When the Civil War broke out, he fought on the side of the South and became a brigadier-general. He married Lucy Helen Everett, who belonged to the same family of Everetts as Edward Everett and Dr. Edward Everett Hale. After the war was over the family moved to Memphis, Tennessee. I lived, up to the time of the illness that deprived me of my sight and hearing, in a tiny house consisting of a large square room and a small one, in which the servant slept. It is a custom in the South to build a small house near the homestead as an annex to be used on occasion. Such a house my father built after the Civil War, and when he married my mother they went to live in it. It was completely covered with vines, climbing roses and honeysuckles. From the garden it looked like an arbour. The little porch was hidden from view by a screen of yellow roses and Southern smilax. It was the favourite haunt of humming-birds and bees.
