Visit With An Old Friend

With Charlotte having past the worst of it with her injuries and having finished teaching Shiro some things, Luna set off on the road, heading to a familiar place. After seeing Charlotte with Shiro recently, especially seeing them acting all close, Luna had the urge to see a particular person, and now that it's finally the weekend, she closed her shop before starting her journey.

"How long has it been?" Luna says to herself as she begins walking out of town.

Due to the worlds combining, both worlds have implemented things from the other world. The biggest one that affected this world however is the use of smartphones. Long ago, people would have to wait days, sometimes weeks to get letters in this world, and sometimes they'd never even arrive, that's not to mention how expensive it is to even send a letter. So now having a device that allows someone to send a message to someone instantly of course sparked a massive boon in this world. However the phones here do operate a bit differently than the human world as mana is incorporated in it. It's because of this that humans in the human world can't actually use these phones.

"And sent~" Luna finishes typing out a reply before sending it to the person she plans on visiting.

It didn't take too long for her phone to get a notification as she soon reads the message.

Message: Sure! It's been a while since we last met up! I don't have much work anyways. Do you want me to pick you up?

Sent: It's okay. I'll be there shortly. I just left Narlimar.

Message: Kay~ I'll see you soon then! I'll let everyone know you're coming.

Luna couldn't help but wear a beaming smile upon seeing the messages. It's rare for her to be the one to send messages as she doesn't want to disturb them, so this came as quite a relief for her.

So, after confirming it's alright, Luna increased her pace, breaking into a jogging pace, but for a vampire like her, this sort of pace would be unheard of for humans. The people on the roads make way for Luna as she storms past them. The people around these parts are all aware of Luna as she's become somewhat of a celebrity in the town, Narlimar, but where she's headed is much different. Instead of going to another town, where she's planning on going is cities that are big enough to house smaller cities inside them. Of course, being a ruling class vampire, she's still known, but there's many more powerful people where she's heading to.

After around an hour of jogging, Luna finally arrives at the gate to where her friend resides.

"Ah- Good to see you again, Miss Luna."

"Hehe, good to see you to."

The person who greeted her by the gate to the city is someone who works under her friend. She's not friends with this guard, but just a friendly acquaintance. And after the brief greeting, Luna is allowed inside the bustling city.

"Wow..."

Every time Luna comes here, it feels like it only gets more and more populated, expanding and growing every year.

Walking through the streets, she's met with many stares, mainly from the younger humans and demi-humans. It's partially out of fear since Luna hasn't reeled back her aura yet, so, after seeing the commotion that she's causing, she collects herself, not wanting to cause any problems for the people here.

Now walking at a normal pace, Luna continues to walk through the streets for another hour until finally, she reaches the foot of a hill which housed a massive mansion at the top of it, with only a gate is blocking her path.

"Ah~ Luna! Welcome back!" Now this was a familiar face.

"Hey, Natalie."

Just like Luna, Natalie is another vampire, the second generation of the ruling class. Her dark, almost black, green hair flowing in the wind as her scarlet red eyes peer into hers. Not all second generation of the ruling class vampires hide their red eyes like Luna, especially if it's in these parts considering this whole place is ruled by one.

"I'll escort you up to her."

"Thank you."

With Natalie now guiding Luna up to the mansion, she immediately begins to sense the others at this distance, her smile only steadily increasing.

"Faye's also here?" Luna having recognized the mana ends up asking Natalie.

"Yes. We had an influx of paperwork, so Faye came by to help out."

"Haaah~" Luna ends up sighing upon realizing that her friend lied to her about not being busy. Her friend probably sent Faye a message asking for her to come quickly so that they can hang out.

For a moment, Luna thought to just turn back, but after getting this far, she continued walking up the hill until they finally reach the front of the mansion.

"I'm gonna scold her."

"Fufu. Don't be too harsh on her."

"I'm not making any promises."

As the two of them talk, the front door of the mansion suddenly opens as long strands of red hair flow out into the wind, stopping both Luna and Natalie in their tracks.
