A Cultivator is...

"Uncle, Uncle!"

A small, soft hand grabbed onto one of the garments of my robe. Looking down, I saw an adorable child with a height less than half my own smiling rather foolishly.

"Hmmm? What is it lil' one?", I asked.

"What's a cultivator?"

Utter surprise flashed on my face.

"Where did you hear about that?"

"My friend, Blue, told me. He said that he's going to be a cultivator."

"I see..."

I bobbed my head with a look of understanding.

"Then, would the young master want to be a cultivator?"

"I don't know. I don't know if I want to be one. I don't know what a cultivator is Uncle. That's why I came to ask."

"Hmmm... You see, a cultivator is..."

I scratched the small grizzle on my chin as I extended my arm. With a small shake, a small ball of blue fire appeared on my palm.

"Uwah..."

Brief astonishment was shown as he looked at the fire ball on my hand with mouth agape.

"...a path where mortal beings transcend to immortality." I said smilingly.

"So a cultivator can create fire out of their hands. That's amazing."

My smile froze for a bit from hearing his small comment about cultivators. Regaining my poise, I gave out a hearty laugh startling the child.

"What's wrong, Uncle? Did I say something funny?"

"No, no. You are right. A cultivator is somebody who can create fire out of their hands."

I gave out a huge grin that reach from each ear.

"Hmmm. I feel like Uncle is making fun of me."

"No, I am not."

I rubbed his head rather vigorously. Not only I messed up his hair, but also relieved him from his pout.

"Come, let's go into my room. I'll teach you everything you need to know about being a cultivator."
