A few gardeners followed with baskets in their hands, reaching out for her to drop the lychees in as soon as she picked them.
There was also someone carrying a drink, conveniently prepared for her- quite the thoughtful service.
As soon as Emily Stone started picking lychees, she put everything else out of her mind. She even seemed to forget about Owl Eagle, let alone remembering that Tara Summer had arranged for Owl Eagle to accompany her in order to create an opportunity for them to be alone.
Owl Eagle followed with a cold face, his expression unchanging. Since she was a friend of Tara Summer, he didn't want to be impolite.
However, he underestimated the dedication of a woman. Emily Stone had been in the lychee garden for over half an hour, and she still didn't seem to want to leave.
She hadn't actually picked many fruits, but rather enjoyed running amongst the trees. The sunshine was brilliant, the air was fresh, and anyone would be reluctant to leave such an environment.
