Rafel smiled. If there had been a Seed of Divine Fire, Saleen would not have allowed her to absorb it either. This was because that would be equivalent to Fycro reviving within her body.

Without a Seed of Divine Fire, Rafel could suppress the divine fire as their levels were similar. It was just that Fycro had comprehended a few more rules than she had. The difference between angels and gods lay in the fact that gods were the dominant party, whereas angels had no sense of self. Since the beginning in which the angels had been created, this had already been set in stone.

Rafel had witnessed her god's death with her own eyes and harbored a special hatred towards the gods. If not for the other gods, the Metal God would not have fallen. Even if the Metal God had not advanced, his lifespan would still have exceeded that of this Crystal Wall system.
