Emotional Entangling

"Don't be silly!"

Ryan knew he needed to dismantle her emotional walls step by step. He gently reached out to touch her cheek. It was warm, flushed, and incredibly smooth to the touch.

Vera flinched slightly but didn't avoid the intimate gesture. Instead, she stubbornly locked eyes with Ryan, her expression demanding an answer.

Looking at her defiant expression, her lips trembling ever so slightly, Ryan found it hard to resist the urge to lean in and kiss her. Her lips were so close, rosy, and exuding a faint sweetness. It would've been effortless.

But the thought of doubling the rewards for completing his "task" held him back. Suppressing the impulse, he spoke in a heartfelt tone:

"Baby, your brother-in-law genuinely likes you. Reading that text didn't make me think less of you."

Suspicious, Vera asked, "Really, Brother-in-law? You don't look down on me?"

"Baby, you're just too sensitive. Can't you feel how much I care about you?"
