Like any girl in love, Sam had made many mistakes—mistakes that anyone in her situation might have made given the circumstances.
Kyler, like the fool he was, was with Sam only because he wanted to sleep with her, and he was close to succeeding.
"So, what did you want to show me?"
"It's in my pocket." Kyler began fumbling with his belt and asked, "Can you help me?"
"Sure."
But just as things were about to spiral out of control, Daniel, who had been following his daughter, burst into the classroom where she was with her boyfriend and said, "Alright, stop this right now!"
"Dad, what are you doing here?"
Kyler, startled, stammered, "You don't understand!"
"Oh, I understand plenty," Daniel said, pointing at Kyler. "I knew you were trouble when you didn't eat the toro."
"You promised not to embarrass me!" Sam snapped, clearly upset at her father's intervention.
But Daniel, convinced he was in the right, added, "Trust me, Sam, this guy is bad news."
"I was just going to give her this." Kyler pulled out a bracelet. "It belonged to my grandmother, and I wanted to give it to Sam."
Sam stared at her father with a blank expression, and Daniel tried to explain, "Sam, the truth is…"
"Don't talk to me," Sam interrupted, storming away from the room, leaving both her father and Kyler behind.
…
In another part of the hallway, Max's group was waiting while Miguel searched for Kyler, who was nowhere to be found.
"Are we really going to do this?" Demetri asked again, glancing at Max, who remained calm.
Ryan, annoyed by Demetri's constant questioning, snapped, "Ask that one more time, and I'll make sure you lose your teeth."
"Fine, fine. You're starting to sound more hostile than Max!"
"Don't you want a little revenge?" Max asked, looking at Eli and then Ryan.
"Maybe you guys should leave, but don't even think about stepping foot in Cobra Kai after this," Max warned.
Eli, eager to join Cobra Kai, was the first to speak up. "Let's go beat those idiots to a pulp."
"Good," Ryan said with a smirk. He was starting to like Eli, who was the oddest member of Miguel's friends.
At that moment, the group saw Sam storming out of a classroom, visibly upset. Though they didn't know why, their focus shifted back to finding Kyler and his friends. Miguel, needing a moment, separated from the group with Eli and Demetri to head to the bathroom.
Once inside, Demetri said, "Miguel, your friends are lunatics."
"I wouldn't say that." Eli replied. The idea of beating those jerks until they couldn't stand was starting to appeal to him.
Miguel, slightly nervous, said, "Whatever we decide now will change our lives, for better or worse. I don't know about you, but I'm fighting."
After all, Miguel was part of Cobra Kai, and this wasn't about bullying the weak. It was about giving those idiots the beating they deserved.
While the trio discussed martial arts and the situation, they overheard Kyler's voice as he entered the bathroom with his friends.
"Damn my luck—I was just about to give her the bracelet."
"Like the one you gave to that other chick?"
"Yeah, but Sam's dad interrupted us."
"Man, I feel bad for you. You were so close to getting her in bed."
Hearing this, Miguel realized exactly who they were talking about and couldn't hold back.
"Screw these idiots. Let's do this right here and now," Eli said, drunkenly grabbing a mop handle.
Kyler and his friends, hearing the commotion, approached the bathroom entrance and found Miguel and his group waiting.
"Who are you talking to, busted lip?" Kyler mocked Eli, who was holding the mop handle.
Miguel, furious, was ready to fight on the spot.
But Demetri, the voice of reason, quickly said, "I'm out of here."
...
Minutes later, Max and his group arrived at the bathroom, where they were met with a scene that enraged them.
"What are you going to do now?" Kyler taunted, standing over Miguel and Eli, who were pinned to the ground by Kyler's four friends.
"Fighting with your friends' help, huh?" Max's expression turned cold as he looked at Miguel on the floor.
"It's Max…" Kyler froze when he saw Miguel's friends standing at the bathroom entrance, glaring at him. There was no escape now, and he knew he couldn't call for help.
"I don't want any trouble with you guys. Let's just leave things as they are," Kyler pleaded.
"Screw that, Kyler. I'll handle these idiots." One of Kyler's friends, unaware of who Max and his group were, stepped forward, only for Ryan to do the same.
"What are you going to do, Piggy?" Ryan taunted. Without warning, he delivered a spinning kick to the guy's stomach.
Thud!
The kick landed hard, dropping the guy to the floor.
"Aaaahhh!"
Ryan, standing over his fallen opponent, turned to Kyler and said, "You're not leaving until you have a fair fight with Miguel, but not here in the bathroom."
