Chapter 46: The Scroll of Seals

In the Hokage's office, Minato sat at his desk, staring at the pile of documents stacked before him. After a long moment, he sighed, shaking his head.

"Too many obstacles…" he murmured, reflecting on recent events, his blond hair seeming somewhat dimmed. Moments ago, he had just finished a tense argument with Konoha's four councillors.

In establishing a new Anbu, Minato had originally planned to integrate members of the Uchiha and Hyuga clans into his ranks to build a strong base. However, to his surprise, Koharu Utatane, Danzo Shimura, Homura Mitokado, and Hiruzen Sarutobi all voiced strong opposition, expressing fervent objections with an unyielding stance. They even went as far as to label the Uchiha as a "clan of innate evil."

"Summon Uchiha Akira to the Hokage's office," Minato instructed.

"Yes, Lord Hokage," the Anbu replied and vanished swiftly.

Half an hour later, Akira entered the Hokage's office, where he saw Minato immersed in paperwork.

"Lord Hokage," Akira greeted respectfully.

Looking up, Minato gave a warm smile and took out a large scroll from his drawer.

"This is the Scroll of Seals. As I promised, you're free to choose two jutsu from it."

"Have a look at the jutsu you're interested in and let me know when you've decided. I'll unseal it for you," Minato said, sliding the scroll across the smooth surface of the desk.

"Thank you, Lord Hokage." Hearing this, Akira suddenly recalled the promise and moved the scroll to a nearby table to examine its contents.

Although he had nearly forgotten about it, Akira already had an idea of what jutsu he wanted. With the escalation of power levels in the shinobi world, only Taijutsu, Sage Mode, Sealing Jutsu, Space-Time Ninjutsu, and a few unique jutsu remained relevant.

As a conventional shinobi, the Eight Gates technique, though powerful, wasn't suited to him, so he dismissed it first when considering Taijutsu options.

"Enhanced Strength?" Akira paused, eyeing a chakra control technique from the Senju clan.

"Technically, it's Taijutsu," he mused, reading the description with interest.

The technique involved precise chakra control, where chakra was gathered into any part of the body and released in an explosive burst for immense power. With proficient control, the force released could be staggering. Someone like Tsunade could summon devastating power with each use, making her like a human-sized summon.

"This strength technique could still be valuable during the peak of the shinobi world's power," Akira thought. He marked "Enhanced Strength" as a backup choice.

"The Flying Thunder God Technique…" Akira noted, nodding slightly. Space-Time Ninjutsu had enduring value—it never seemed to lose relevance. From the Second Hokage Tobirama Senju to Boruto, space-time techniques were always top-tier.

Although he now had a Mangekyo Sharingan with Kamui, which theoretically made the Flying Thunder God Technique unnecessary, this Sharingan wasn't his original and wasn't eternal either. Issues with his eye's powers might arise later. Thus, he marked the Flying Thunder God as another backup.

"Yin Seal? I'll skip that…" After glancing at its description, Akira passed over this S-ranked jutsu. While the Yin Seal could store a large amount of chakra, Akira, being an Uchiha, didn't particularly lack chakra. Ever since he arrived in this world, he hadn't once fought to the point of exhausting it.

Regardless of distance or prior knowledge of an enemy's location, the spirit could sense and reach any target, even transferring chakra if needed.

The applications didn't end there; the technique offered various methods of spirit and soul manipulation. In its spirit form, it held similarities to the Flying Thunder God Technique but with a broader and more versatile scope.
