Wanda In Black Silk Stockings, Ch 45.1

Could it be that someone has invaded?

"Hode! Where are you?"

Wanda's expression suddenly grew serious.

The residual magical energy in the air was far too evident.

"Could it be the dark wizard?!"

This possibility sprang to Wanda's mind.

She hadn't forgotten about the three ogres that had appeared in Manhattan.

She spread her arms, and a crimson light surged out,

intending to locate the current "approximate position" through the magical fluctuations left in the air.

Although she didn't know what was happening,

if it were a battle, it might just help Hode.

The crimson light flowed continuously in the air, sensing the position connected on the other end of the fluctuations.

"Wanda? Why are you out here?"

Hode appeared at the corner of the staircase, balancing a silver platter in his hands.

Upon seeing Wanda's actions, he instantly understood her intentions.

The witch was preparing to search for the second teleportation point to a dimensional portal.

"Where did you just go? I felt magical traces and thought something dangerous had occurred."

Wanda looked at Hode as he approached and couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.

In her heart, Hode had already occupied a significant place.

"I..."

Hode maintained his composure, wearing a calm smile as he spoke:

"I hurried back to be with you; I just had to run an errand."

Lying?

It was as though he didn't even feel the need to lie.

"Is that so?"

With her galaxy-like big eyes blinking, warmth surged inside Wanda.

She hadn't expected that Hode considered every detail just to spend as much time with her as possible.

It would be impossible not to feel moved.

Girls are always easily touched by the little things.

"Come on, let's go back while the soup is still warm."

Hode switched the soup to his right hand, wrapping his left arm around Wanda as they walked back into the room.

He couldn't help but silently congratulate himself; if it weren't for his quick thinking, he might not have managed to cover it up.

Back inside, Hode placed the soup in front of Wanda.

"I was wondering why you teleported downstairs."

Wanda picked up a spoon, casually commenting.

She had already pinpointed the location on the other side.

It should be on the first floor of the villa.

Upon hearing this, Hode's expression changed:

"I only remembered the maid wasn't home when I teleported to the first floor, so I just went out to buy some."

As he said this, his heart raced slightly; after all, Wanda was far too quick.

He couldn't help but wonder if he needed to further upgrade the power of his shield machine.

He hadn't expected that Wanda still had the energy to walk to the door.

"No wonder," Wanda mused, "I detected that there were still some residual magical energies."

Looking out at the rain pouring outside, Wanda felt a surge of affection; he had even gone out in this heavy rain to bring her soup. "It's raining outside; you shouldn't have gone through so much trouble."

"It's nothing, I can handle magic."

Hode smiled and held Wanda's soft little hand.

This was truly a playful series of moments.
