The sun shone over the sea as a brisk wind swept across the waves. Several Marine Vice Admirals stood on the deck, their expressions serious as they watched the distant island.
On the dog-headed ship, Garp was snoozing loudly on a chair, while Admiral Aokiji, dressed in a dark blue suit with a white vest over it, lay on a simple cot with an eye mask covering his face.
"What's that?!" Suddenly, Vice Admiral Doberman's surprised voice rang out. The Marines looked up to see the island, previously floating on the sea's surface, beginning to slowly rise into the sky, taking with it a small expanse of seawater as if the area were wrapped in some invisible force. The hole left behind on the sea's surface caused nearby waters to rush in, churning into chaotic waves.
"The island is rising?!"
"This has to be the power of the Float-Float Fruit!" Vice Admiral Doberman's brows knit tightly as he stared at the levitating island in disbelief. "But wasn't the Golden Lion, Shiki, supposed to be dead? So who's lifting the island now?"
According to captured members of the Flying Pirates, Shiki was likely dead. But then, how was the island floating?
"Could it be that someone else has eaten the Float-Float Fruit?"
"Impossible!" Doberman immediately countered. "A newly awakened Float-Float Fruit user couldn't possibly raise islands and seawater like this! It takes time to develop that much power with a Devil Fruit."
"Could it be that blind swordsman, Issho? He has the Gravity-Gravity Fruit, which also allows things to float," Vice Admiral Strawberry speculated.
"If it's him, then this is going to be difficult." Doberman's face grew tense.
At that moment, a Marine ran up to them and reported loudly, "Vice Admiral, the island has entered the range of the ships' artillery!"
"Commence bombardment," Doberman commanded in a low voice.
"Yes, sir!"
With the order given, the ten massive Marine ships aimed their cannons at the rising island.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The cannons roared, sending rounds of artillery toward the island. The thunderous noise jolted Aokiji and Garp awake.
"It's starting, huh?" Garp rubbed his eyes, glancing at Aokiji.
"Get up; it's time to give Sanders a good beating!"
Aokiji removed his eye mask and stood, glancing up. "Hmm? Why's the island rising? Could Shiki still be alive?" Garp's mouth dropped as he stared at the levitating island.
On the island, Sanders looked at Issho with a grin.
"Let's go. It's time to see what this Buster Call is all about—and have a good fight. Maybe it'll stop the Marines from always pestering us."
"They should be going after the Four Emperors in the New World instead of focusing on me, right?"
With that, Sanders shrugged off his coat and handed it to Robin.
"Wait here, Robin. There's no need to fear the Buster Call as a member of the Thunder God Pirates."
Sanders floated up, preparing to face the incoming assault. Issho chuckled, and with a sweep of his bamboo sword, a section of earth lifted beneath him, and he followed right behind Sanders.
Boom! The sound of cannon fire filled the air. Robin was startled, clutching Sanders' coat tightly, her face pale from the intense pressure.
Dozens of massive cannonballs shot directly toward the island, but just then, a flash of lightning streaked across the sky, and the shells exploded mid-air, leaving a cloud of smoke. As it cleared, Sanders' figure emerged in the Marines' line of sight. His cold voice echoed to the Marine forces.
"So, you went all out just to come and arrest me?"
"The Marine Hero and Aokiji both decided to show up!"
"Sanders!" Several Vice Admirals stared grimly at Sanders. A moment later, Issho appeared behind him.
"Tsk, tsk, look at all the familiar faces. But where's Onigumo? Did he finally die?" Sanders scanned the group, noticing Onigumo was absent. After the battle at Impel Down, he hadn't seen any news of Onigumo's death.
At Sanders' words, the faces of the Marine Vice Admirals turned dark. Seeing their expressions, Sanders cracked a smile.
"So he really is dead. Poor guy! If he'd been anywhere else, even with serious injuries, he could've lasted until Marine rescue."
"But down in Impel Down, he probably sank unconscious and got swallowed up by a Sea King. If he didn't get saved fast enough, who knows where that Sea King has gone by now."
"Sanders, surrender yourself!" Doberman shouted furiously at him.
The island had already risen high enough that it was out of reach of the cannonfire. It was clear that the Marines might not be able to accomplish any of their objectives here. They could only try to see if they could capture Sanders now. With Garp among them, the Marines had five Vice Admirals and an Admiral, giving them a powerful lineup surpassing the Thunder God Pirates in raw strength.
"Surrender? Doberman, where do you get that confidence?" Sanders picked his ear with his pinky, seemingly unconcerned.
"If you hadn't triggered the Buster Call, which dredged up unpleasant memories for my crew, I wouldn't have bothered with you at all." He looked to Garp and Kuzan aboard the dog-headed ship.
"Oh, Kuzan! All healed up and back for revenge, are we?"
Garp clenched his fist with a grin. "You cocky brat! Let me show you the might of my iron fist this time!"
"Oh, really?" Sanders arched an eyebrow, raising a hand.
"Then let's see if you're up to it!" As he raised his hand, he activated the power of the Float-Float Fruit.
The calm sea suddenly surged. Massive waves rose, towering over the Marine warships, trapping them between the surging waters and crashing toward them with the force of a natural disaster.
It was a Sea Roll! The warships rocked violently in the turbulent sea, looking like helpless ants about to be swept away. Everyone watched the scene in shock.
"This...this is the power of the Float-Float Fruit?!" Garp immediately recognized the source of the power as he witnessed the phenomenon, his eyes wide in disbelief.
"How is this possible? Doesn't this kid have the Rumble-Rumble Fruit?"
"How can he possibly have a second power?" Garp couldn't believe it. But the way he controlled the seawater resembled the Float-Float Fruit—just not shaped into water lions like the Golden Lion used to do.
Seeing the warships about to be engulfed by the sea, Aokiji leapt into the air, extending both hands as a bone-chilling frost shot forward.
"Ice Age!"
