Cuts Part 2

Boom

The bandit was sent into flying into the wall of the room across from the doorway. The man groaned as he pushed himself from his dent in the wall. A cloud of dust lingered in the air as his feet unsteadily hit the wooden floor.

"You were close... agh, I was almost out with that hit." The Bandit said raising his knife. His left arm had been broken, his first thought was to run but he needed a moment to get his wits about him.

The dust dispersed and from the shadows stepped Rophalin. Her arm had a deep slash on her bicep, blood was pouring from the cut.

"Hick!... get out of my house."

Clearly still drunk, Rophalin leapt at the man who dodged and stumbled down the hall of the second floor. He didn't have time to wait, now was his only chance to escape.

He turned around without breaking his moment and threw his dagger at a Rophalin picking up speed. To his horror she blocked the blade meant for her eye with her forearm. It lodged deep inside her skin, but she was too enraged to care.

Leaping through the window at the end of the hall the Bandit had a second of hangtime before hitting the grass and rolling into a run. He sprinted down the side of the house and into the street to get some distance.

He opened a small bottle he hid on his belt, a small amount of green liquid filled the bottom of the vail. After one sip his arm snapped back into place. That little bit cost about 2 months of successful thefts to afford, but it was worth downing to keep his life.

A large crash could be heard behind the fleeing bandit. Glancing back, Rophalin was in a full sprint covered in blood with wooden planks sticking out of her body.

She chased him out of the village, by the time she ran out of her Rage Time her normal adrenaline couldn't keep her going with her injuries. She slumped down in the middle of the dark road, her breathing heavy. She could feel her head growing heavy, she looked up to see the Bandit with his smug look tossing the bag of gold.

"You strong enraged types always think your so great. But you guys always have the same weakness. Being to big for anything requiring real stamina." He laughed as he walked closer, he practically hopped with glee.

Rophalin swung her arm forward, her hand balled in a fist. The man stepped back and watched her fall forward.

"Nice try." He kneeled over her. "What do we say, I will give you your gold back if you give me something worth something better."

Rophalin looked at the man with enraged eyes. He was erect and clearly gaining some sick pleasure.

"What do you say? I could do with a quick tit job. My slut hasn't contacted me in a few days. I'm sure he will come crawling back to me sooner or later."

Rophalin spit but the liquid just splat on her face. "Go Fuck Yourself!"

"Fine, I'll leave you alone." He stood up and pull a slim wand from his pocket. "Look I am going to send a distress signal so you don't die out here. I need you to promise me you won't kill me if you see me again."

Rophalin ground her teeth. Clearly she didn't want to give this thief any promises after what he did but he clearly had more plans linked to the town. "Fine, but if I see you stealing again I won't keep my promise."

He smirked.

Raising his arm up he said a quick spell and a bolt of red lightning shot up into the sky and exploded in the night sky.

The wand in his hand began to slowly turn to ash. He looked at her once more, "By the way, what's your name?"

Rophalin was beginning to pass out, her eye sight becoming blurry she tried to speak. Her head hit the dirt floor of the road.

...

The next morning she woke up at the home of the town's Healer. Feeling surprisingly energized, Rosphalin stood quickly, feeling good as new. No hangover and no cuts or bruises.

She was naked though, although a set of clothes were neatly folded on a chair in the room's corner. Not fazed by this realization, Rosphalin put on her new clothes which were much more modest. Instead of essentially a leather bra and panties, she wore a tight fitting black shirt over a bralette. Uncharacteristically Rosphalin was wearing a blue skirt, it had tight fitting shorts underneath the skirt. For such a rural town even with the university and city close by this material was rare and very expensive.

Looking around the small quiet room was decorated with signs in ancient elvish script all around the room. Stepping out into the hallway, a delicious odor could be sensed coming from the kitchen.

Taking a step into said kitchen, she was greeted with a familiar face. "Good Morning Rosphalin. Long time no see!" The woman who greeted the fashionably dressed barbarian was a young woman who had slight characteristics of someone heading into the middle part of ones life. She had her blonde hair tied back in a pony tail and an apron made of fine cloth.

"Good morning Ms. Yesthana." The healer was the mother of Delsanra, most of the town being an elf it wasn't uncommon for someone of Ms. Yesthana's age to look so young. It was uncharacteristic for elves to have a child so young, since most waited till the end of their "Younger years" to have children. But Ms. Yesthana was an exception in more ways than one, having raised a child practically alone and having became a great Healer she was a proud woman.

"Please sit down, I'm almost finished cooking."

Rosphalin sat down in a nearby seat, "Thank you for taking care of my wounds. That thief was a trickster."

"Oh of course. I know how dangerous Bandits can be, even with a group." Ms. Yesthana was apart of a few Adventuring Parties before creating Delsanra. In fact the man she was impregnated by was from the last one she was ever a part of. He returned occasionally to check on his son and the mother of his child but he was not the "single" type to put it simply.

"I must ask, what happened after I was found?"

"Well, the guards found you unconscious and brought you hear. By the way your clothes were nearly fully destroyed. Would you like them back anyway?"

"Thank you but no. I have a few more, so it's fine." A plate was set in front of her and before it had time to sit the food on it was gone in a flash.

"Sorry for leaving so soon Ms. Yesthana, but today I practice with Delsanra. Is there any way I can repay you before I go?"

"Well... I have two things, but the first I think you will enjoy."

The woman untied her apron revealing a top with heavy cleavage. "I need to recharge my mana," A smirk appeared "would you mind helping me?"

...

The Bandit laid in a tree on the road leading out the town. He was waiting for another passerby with bad luck and a heavy purse. The morning had been quiet, he liked working in these areas. The people were always caught off guard when they were being robbed, if they were from the city he would actually have to be stealthy.

He thought for a moment peering down at the sun bathed road. "That was a close one even for this area. She would have killed me if she could actually get a hold of me, hopefully letting her live helps her calm down."

The next moment he stepped back further into the shadow of the trees, the blonde barbarian was walking towards the carriage that came rolling to town.

Rophalin went into the carriage heading for the university. "Already good and moving, even with the great healer here that's insane," he said squinting his eyes. "Looks like I should keep an eye on her, she seems to be fierce."

...

Rophalin was at the university walking through the little city inspired dorm buildings and lecture buildings she found herself at the far side of campus staring at Delsanra's dorm building. She entered when the next student came who was too small and scared to try to stop Rophalin from entering. Climbing the stairs she went to the fourth floor, she turned went down the hall and stood before the final door. She could sense something off, like a magical surplus even for her magic lacking abilities. Pressing on the door she saw a seen she was not entirely expecting.
