Patience

With a little less than a day passing since their arrival in the cave, Vahn and Grayfia were relaxing near the periphery of its near-perennial rays of sunshine when its delicate beams gained a prominent and beautiful blue hue. At the same time, the world and sky outside darkened, the result of a near-total solar eclipse that cast the entire floor in mystical blue light.

"Looks like it's beginning..." remarked Vahn, feeling the ground tremble as a cacophony of roars and the sounds of a stampede echoed from outside the cave. Ordinarily, it would be loud enough to knock the average person unconscious, but thanks to the barrier Grayfia had erected, the chorus of violence and destruction sounded distant, muffled.

"Nn...and if everything progresses as planned, Lady Venelana is virtually guaranteed to be yours..." teased Grayfia, her silvery eyes reflecting the crops Vahn had planted earlier, analyzing how they absorbed the light of the Blue Moon as well as the mana and nutrients from the environment to grow at a rate visible to the naked eye.

"You make me sound like an unscrupulous man..." hummed Vahn, gently fondling Grayfia's breasts as she was seated in his lap, reclining against him in a comfortable lounge chair. At nearly that exact same moment, a large shadow passed over the eclipsed sun, drawing their gazes to the silhouette of a black dragon soaring through the sky with the eclipsed sun as a backdrop, followed by a loud, intimidating dragon's roar that caused most of the chaos encompassing the floor to settle.

"What do you plan to do with Aileen...?" asked Grayfia, referring to the dragon that had just flown overhead.

"For now, we'll just focus on growing crops until one absorbs the energy of the Blue Moon," responded Vahn. "Once she becomes aware of us, I'll hopefully be able to become a Dungeon Farmer. Then, once we increase our rapport with her, I'll offer to mend her condition and hopefully be able to negotiate with her family to secure this floor and the crops we produce as the backbone of our transdimensional travel and support agency..."

"Though..." added Vahn, lifting up and gently squeezing Grayfia's breasts together as he admitted, "I'm also fine with just taking things slow. That's the reason I chose this world. Alongside farming, I plan to pick up forging, woodworking, and a variety of hands-on skills..."

"You are good with your hands..." affirmed Grayfia, turning her head and raising her face as she could sense that Vahn wanted to kiss her. Shortly after that, she and Vahn retired to their cabin, allowing the seeds he had sown to grow in peace while he planted his own deep within her womb...

With Grayfia informing him they had guests, Vahn emerged from their cabin in a simple outfit consisting of a loose, long-sleeved white tunic with a deep v-neck, a pair of comfortable brown trousers kept in place by a brown leather belt, leather boots, and beige gloves designed for farming and gardening.

Among the sample crops Vahn had planted, many of which were almost fully mature despite only a single day passing, was a small 3x3m patch of carrots. Just about any vegetable would have worked to attract the cave's destined tenants, but since he wanted to leave a favorable impression on them from the start, Vahn's inaugural planting included carrots, radishes, bok choy, brussels sprouts, and cherry tomatoes. Only the radishes were anywhere near ready to harvest, but as most cruciferous vegetables grew quickly, he was confident the bok choy and brussels would be fully grown within a few days.

"You can show yourselves. I'm only a threat to those who go out of their way to attack me first," hummed Vahn, directing his words to the hole in the ceiling. There was initially no response, but after several seconds of awkward silence, a face belonging to the most adorable white rabbit he had ever seen poked its head out, observing him with its large, intelligent black eyes.

Raising his right hand and offering a smile and a wave, Vahn said, "Hey there. My name is Vahn. Vahn Mason. Do you have a name?"

Pointing to itself, the white rabbit responded with a breathy, high-pitched "Wee...?" that, to Vahn, sounded like, "You're asking for my name?"

"Of course. Though, if you don't have one, that's fine as well," responded Vahn, unsurprised by his ability to understand the rabbit's speech as The Path allowed him to comprehend all written and spoken languages, even binary.

Surprised by Vahn's ability to speak the rabbit tongue, the white rabbit, after a brief pause, answered, "My name is Dang Moonbuk. But how are you able to speak our language? Comprehension is one thing, but I have never heard of a human speaking Lopanase..."

"Well, I'm not an ordinary human," responded Vahn, shrugging relaxedly before stating, "My lover and I are about to eat breakfast. Would you and your companion like to join us?"

"Is that really okay...?" asked Moonbuk, followed by the audible growling of his stomach. Vahn couldn't make it out due to Moonbuk's dense fur, but he got the distinct impression the roughly 50cm-tall rabbit was blushing from embarrassment.

"I wouldn't have offered if it wasn't," responded Vahn, producing a Crimson Bapple from his Inventory as he added, "But if you don't trust me, here, have this. It's nourishing enough to fill an adult human, so it should be more than enough for two rabbits."

Expecting Vahn to toss what he presumed to be an appl up, Moonbuk was amazed when it floated weightlessly toward him, courtesy of the former's domain.

Seeing Moonbuk catch the apple, Vahn nodded affirmingly, smiled, and said, "Alright, feel free to stop by whenever you want. And if you and your companion are looking for a safe place to weather future Blue Moons, the cave has more than enough space to accommodate you."

Believing he had sown enough seeds of intrigue to convince Moonbuk to at least visit periodically, Vahn turned and prepared to return to Grayfia's side or, more accurately, her back. With his domain, he could sense her taking her sweet time to prepare the ingredients for their breakfast. If she felt inclined, she could prepare a wide variety of vegetables and clean up after herself within seconds to a few minutes at most. However, as she knew he enjoyed standing behind her, her knife moved with machine-like precision but at a rate of only one dice every two seconds...

Observing Vahn's departing figure with thoughtful eyes, Moonbuk waited for the former to enter his cabin before staring down at the bapple in his hands. At the same time, a second, exceptionally adorable white rabbit with floppy ears, a slight perm, and distinctly feminine features appeared behind him, outfitted in a dark blue gardening apron with brown straps, a tiny breast pocket, and a much larger front pocket...

[Four Hours Later]

Emerging from his cabin, this time with Grayfia accompanying him, Vahn found Moonbuk, now sporting a straw hat with a red band, tending to his farm with a watering can. Another apron-wearing rabbit with floppy ears and a notably larger and fluffy tail was inspecting and had even harvested a few of the radishes, but when she noticed him and Grayfia, she stopped to wave her hand and say, "Hello there~!" in a tone that, to Vahn, sounded surprisingly deep and feminine.

Stepping forward with the carrot cakes that Grayfia had prepared as a gift, Vahn reciprocated with a smile and said, "Well, hello there. I take it you're Moonbuk's wife?"

Seeing the treats Vahn was proferring, the female rabbit's eyes lit up as she nodded and confirmed, "That's right. Though, since Moonbuk and I were never able to have a proper ceremony, we're technically engaged. My name is Seol So-Young. And I have to say, Vahn-hyung's Leponese is exceptional."

"Well, what matters is your feelings for one another," said Vahn, unable to suppress an amused smile as Moonbuk and So-Young each grabbed a carrot cake, took a bite, and squished their respective cheeks together in delight.

Waiting until the duo were nearly finished with their cookies, Vahn asked, "Should I interpret the two of you working the farm to indicate you intend to stay here long-term...?"

"Is it really okay...?" asked So-Young, tilting her head and twitching her nose in an adorable look of concern.

"In the first place, this isn't our land to dictate who can and can't live on it," responded Vahn, shrugging as he added, "As long as you're willing to put in your fair share of the work, we have no reason to refuse you."

Catching Vahn a little off guard, Moonbuk and So-Young abruptly leaped at his face, clinging to and rubbing their soft and squishy cheeks against him as they exclaimed, "Thank you so much/We'll be sure to work hard...!"

"Haha~you're an affectionate bunch~" hummed Vahn, placing his hands under Moonbuk's and So-Young's feet to prevent them from digging their long nails into his tunic. He thought to embrace and cuddle them in turn, but since they were capable of speaking, he felt propping up their butts and rubbing his face against them might be crossing a line...

"Giving you any ideas...?" asked Vahn, once again relaxing with Grayfia seated atop and reclining against him. On the opposite side of the cave, Moonbuk and So-Young had constructed a fairly sizeable, grass-covered burrow for themselves, and though it sounded like a bunch of squeaks to Grayfia, he could distinctly make out the rabbit couple panting and calling out to one another as they had intense, deliberate, baby-making sex.

"I think about it quite often these days..." responded Grayfia, relaxing with her eyes closed and a faint, near-perpetual smile. Like Vahn, she had also changed from her Maid outfit to something better suited to her status as a farmer's spouse. Specifically, she was wearing her semi-transparent white sundress over white cotton panties, stockings, and a garter belt. She also had a pair of black Mary Janes, but they were presently discarded on the ground.

"If only I weren't a man of my word..." hummed Vahn, his voice low as he gently caressed Grayfia's hands, folded neatly atop her abdomen. After four—going on five months of cohabitation, he was at the point where a part of him regretted promising his first child to Rias. Thus, even if it was exploiting a loophole, all Grayfia needed to do was tell him she wanted a child, and he would give her one. The two of them were technically just a pair of avatars at the moment, so while it was definitely possible for her to get pregnant, the resultant child would be an Invirtua native, a byproduct of an algorithm that would invariably be made real by his power...

Sensing Vahn's yearning, compounding her own, Grayfia found herself in a state of deliberative reflection. She believed—she knew it would be best for everyone, including Vahn, if he remained the type of person—the type of God who kept his word and upheld his promises. The problem was that she had never longed for anything more than she yearned to be pregnant with his child. She didn't necessarily yearn to give birth—she just wanted to be pregnant and have him dote on both her and their unborn child even more...

"We should wait..." confirmed Grayfia, placing great emphasis on the word 'should' as she turned to Vahn and appended, "But if we allow nature to take its course and a child comes about as a result...I wouldn't be against it..."

"Then it looks like I'll be returning with yet another addiction..." hummed Vahn, drawing his lips closer to Grayfia's, his eyes narrowed and a playful smile adorning his face as he hotly whispered, "Gambling..." before giving her a deep, impassioned kiss and whisking her away to their bedroom for the most intense sex either of them had ever experienced...
