As time gradually passed, half a month went by quietly.

These squads were heading toward the stronghold of the Mo family: Yan City! 

At this time, on the road leading to Yan City, a convoy of about thirty people was slowly advancing. At the front of the convoy, Mo Yu was riding a unicorn, with Ye Cong, the head of the Ye family, beside him. 

In the past half-month, not only had Ye Fan recovered his strength, but Zi Huo had also successfully broken through to the fourth tier with the help of the Beast Soul Blood Fusion Pill. 

Thus, after Mo Yu and Ye Fan reached an agreement, the plan to annihilate the Mo family sped up.

Within Yan City, besides the imperial forces, the most powerful force was naturally their target, the Mo family.

Although such prominence often attracts unwanted attention, with the mighty Yun Lan Sect backing them, not even the Jia Ma Empire's royal family dared to trouble the Mo family lightly. This made the Mo family the unchallenged rulers of Yan City. 

In recent years, the Mo family had steadily suppressed the other three major families, standing firmly as the dominant force. But all of this changed with an announcement a month ago—Yun Lan Sect officially severed ties with the Mo family! 

Mo Yu had anticipated this outcome. The loss of their powerful patron would only make the Mo family more desperate. 

Instead of retreating after losing Yun Lan Sect's backing, the Mo family became even more aggressive, wielding their authority without restraint. 

The Mo family's decision to host the Grand Elder's birthday banquet ahead of time was part of their plan to unite all nearby forces, reestablish their influence, and regain their position as the number one family in the eastern province. 

After three days of non-stop travel, Mo Yu and his entourage finally approached the outskirts of Yan City. As the morning sun rose, the silhouette of a vast city with an intimidating aura loomed at the horizon. 

The city ahead resembled a giant ancient beast lying in wait. 

Mo Yu and the Ye family group followed the broad avenue, moving steadily toward the imposing city. 

As they neared the city gates, dozens of fully armed soldiers stood watch on either side, their sharp eyes scanning the passersby. 

Being the convoy of the Ye family, one of the four major families in the eastern province, the guards dared not obstruct them. A Ye family guard presented their identity, and the convoy was allowed entry, proceeding slowly into the city. 

"Sigh, what a grand spectacle. The Mo family is indeed worthy of being Yan City's dominant clan," remarked one of the mercenaries nearby out of boredom. 

"Bah, the Mo family served as the Yun Lan Sect's dog, and even they didn't want them. Now, they're just putting on airs!" another mercenary scoffed. 

"Are you looking to die? Keep it down! The Mo family may be what they are, but they can crush us like insects. Not to mention, many factions from the eastern region have come to the Grand Elder's banquet," a third mercenary whispered urgently. 

"You don't understand. I heard that the Mo family is using this opportunity to try and unite all the factions in the east, so they won't need to rely on the Yun Lan Sect anymore," the first mercenary added. 

Listening to the mercenaries' chatter, Mo Yu narrowed his eyes and smirked. "Holding a rushed banquet... The Mo family is really desperate." 

"With so many factions present, it might be difficult for us to make a move, right?" Ye Cong frowned. 

"Heh, Clan Leader Ye, is there any room for regret now? Besides, do you think all these factions are willing to be the Mo family's pawns? With our combined strength, once the Mo family is destroyed, the remaining factions will surely follow your lead," Mo Yu replied with a faint smile. 

"In that case, I must thank Brother Mo Yu," Ye Cong smiled as well, the hesitation in his eyes replaced by a gleam of ambition. If his Ye family could indeed eliminate the Mo family, then the title of the top family in the eastern province would be theirs! 

As the convoy was about to move on, the sound of hooves echoed from behind. Turning around, they saw a group of riders swiftly approaching. 

Dust billowed behind them, irritating the nearby pedestrians. But when they recognized the leading rider, their anger quickly dissipated. 

The leader was a beautiful young woman dressed in tight-fitting red clothes that highlighted her graceful figure. 

The woman's pace didn't slow down despite the crowded streets. She sped through, causing merchants who couldn't dodge in time to fall over. 

"That seems to be the Mo family's second young lady. I saw her once when I visited the Mo family. I heard she is favored by Mo Cheng," Ye Cong remarked. 

Hearing this, Mo Yu glanced at the young woman riding away, then turned his gaze toward the Mo family's headquarters in the city center, a chilling intent gleaming in his eyes.
