Chapter 49: The Bo City Calamity (Part 3)

"Comrade Military Mage, I want to ask, why isn't the military sending people into the city to save us?"

Hearing this, the crowd fell silent. Their previous complaints about the military mages not saving them were just out of their anger. Now, knowing the truth, they didn't want the military mages to go into the city, because as Fan Lijun said, if the station falls, they would all die. People are selfish; they managed to escape into the safe zone and they don't want to die!

Seeing the silence, Fan Lijun turned and left. Her words were just out of frustration with people treating the military mages' good intentions with disdain.

"Zhan Kong, this is the current situation in Bo City."

Fan Lijun quickly found Zhan Kong, who was stationed at Xuefeng Mountain, and handed over the latest information she had obtained.

"Monster attacks in Bo City? Could there be many passages we haven't destroyed?"

"Qin Chen? That little guy from before?"

Zhan Kong looked at the information in his hand with a grim expression. They had destroyed the passages Qin Chen provided and found other passages as well, all destroyed. These weapons were Yan Emperor's own abilities, compressed and condensed from his body's rock, twice as hard as his own body. Few monsters of the same level could match their toughness.

Yan Emperor sidestepped to the three-eyed wolf's side, lifting his giant axe and slashing at the wolf's waist. The wolf's characteristic of having a weak waist made it vulnerable, and Qin Chen had warned Yan Emperor about it.

The ambushed three-eyed wolf was slashed out of the crowd, bleeding profusely from the deep axe wound on its waist. The wolf howled, summoning its subordinates to attack Yan Emperor while it retreated to find an opportunity.

High-level commands cannot be refused. This is the hierarchical system of monsters. Lower-level monsters must obey higher-level ones, a bloodline command etched in their bones. With the three-eyed wolf's roar, thirty-five one-eyed wolves abandoned their feast and charged at Yan Emperor.

When Yan Emperor and Qin Chen appeared, the three thousand people were able to escape the monsters and quickly headed to the safe zone. Qin Chen didn't concern himself with them; without the crowd in the way, he also rushed forward to support Yan Emperor!

"Fire Burst!"

The fire star track was completed in an instant, and a crimson flame flew to the densest part of the wolf pack. A burst explosion echoed, flames enveloping an area of six meters, instantly consuming the surrounding wolves. Five one-eyed wolves were killed in one move, and five more were blasted away by the explosion, leaving a twenty-meter wolf-free zone.

Many green seeds were thrown from Qin Chen's hand, scattered around Yan Emperor. As the one-eyed wolves charged, the seeds suddenly sprouted, vines wrapping around their legs. These vines were covered with spikes, piercing the wolves' flesh and slowing them down. Unnoticed, the vines were also draining the wolves' life force.
