Monotony.

Waking up the next morning with a slight headache, Loki tumbled down from his bed and reached for his clothes that were hung on a hanger after his bath last night.

Patting the pocket in his robes, Loki pulled out a vial that should've been filled with the ethereal silverish unicorn blood.

"Damn.", Loki whispered as he looked at the vial.

It had turned so red that it looked black.

Loki thought it made sense since the ethereal spirit that escaped from the crystal was out of it for a longer period before it vanished.

'Could I have used walls of spirituality to reduce the interference from outside?'

'No, I doubt my spirituality would've been enough to suppress whatever was happening inside the room last night. I probably would've just suffered a severe headache and fainted.'

'I hope everyone else in the school's alright though.'

Changing into his robes Loki checked the Marauder's map and found no one outside the room much to his relief.

Sipping on the tea that contained the same properties as the rejuvenation potion to heal himself Loki cast one last glance at the room as the events of last night played through his head.

'Hmm….this room seems to be more special than just a room built for the puzzles set by the founder.'

'Maybe I can call it the room of wishes? No, it can't fulfil my wishes, or can it?'

'Erm….I wish for immortality!'

As soon as Loki made the wish the lights in the room dimmed imperceptibly.

Loki stared at the room for a few seconds expecting something miraculous to happen but nothing did.

The lights came back to normal and Loki became dumbfounded.

'Did the room just get disappointed with me?'

'Well if it could really perform miracles it would've been unexpected.'

'I guess I can call it the Room of Convenience then? Since it makes living in it convenient?'

"Hmm…alright, from today I'll call you the Room of Convenience."

With a nod to himself as he was satisfied by the name Loki was about to push the door open and leave but he stopped.

'Hmm…'

"Can you make me an exit that will let me leave from here unseen? Perhaps near the exit to the Greenhouses? In one of the broom closets?"

The room buzzed for a few seconds and a small less grand door formed in front of Loki.

"Oh!? You can!? You really are convenient!" Loki nodded and made his way out the door.

Stepping out, the door soundlessly closed behind Loki's back and vanished after it blended back to become a part of the wall which was part of the broom closet.

Loki looked at the Maruader's map to reorient himself and once he was sure he was near one of the exits of the Castle, Loki slipped out of it.

Entering the greenhouse Loki found an empty spot beside Daphne where the Slytherin's were standing and slipped to be beside her.

Classes progressed as normal but throughout the day, each time he was asked to use magic, from the slightly complex cheering charm in the Charms class to the simple fire charm to threaten dangerous plants in Herbology, Loki's brain pounded.

'Rowena made magic.'

Loki's head was stuck on the simple sentence that shook the framework he had created about the world.

'And didn't Salazar say, 'Mr. Error would be proud of me'?'

'Who is this other Mr. Error? Is there already a True God in the Error Pathway?'

'But if there is, then how come no one knows about him?'

'Wouldn't there be some record of him somewhere?'

'Unless he wants to keep himself hidden?'

'But why? What reason would a God have to hide?'

'And above all, didn't I conclude before that the Lord of the Mysteries pathways were taken by 'Her' who rules the Abyss? So how's there another Mr. Error?'

'Is the other Mr. Error hiding because of that?'

'But…it's not like the rest of the world even knows about the Founders and how specifically Rowena Ravenclaw was the one that invented magic.'

'Maybe there's someone out there that knows? But…I doubt there's someone like that if even the Oldest and Most Ancient House of Black didn't know about it.'

'Or maybe Walburga didn't know because she was just a Demigod and not even a Saint?'

'Perhaps You-Know-Who and 'Adam' know something about it?'

'Who are the other High Sequence Beyonders in this world? Perhaps they too know about it?'

Loki's mental inspection ended with that question because a student stopped him on his way to the dormitory after dinner.

"Yes?" Loki asked as he looked at the senior.

"Erm… Professor Snape has called for you."

"Professor Snape?"

"Yes, he's waiting for you in the potions classroom."

"...I see. Thank you for letting me know." Loki nodded with a smile and changed his direction from the dormitory to the potions classroom in the dungeons.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Come in." said a soft voice from inside.

Loki entered the classroom and closed the door behind him. His eyes naturally found Snape who was right behind his desk, brewing a potion.

Loki calmly made his way towards the professor, wondering what he'd needed him for but Snape's words made him stop.

"Why weren't you at the hospital wing today?"

Loki *sighed* and pulled out a vial from his pocket.

"Carry this thing around all the time since the first day the attack happened.", Loki said tossing the dirty vial towards Snape.

Snape flicked his wand and the vial stopped mid-air, floating just above the cauldron it would've fallen into otherwise.

Snape looked at it and frowned as his brows furrowed.

"Unicorn blood?" He asked unsure about his guess.

"Yep. Got it off of the Unicorn that I saved in my first year." Loki explained.

Snape said nothing after that as if expecting something more so Loki elaborated.

"I have an item that belongs to the fighter pathway?- I mean the warrior pathway?, it helps me purify the vial each time it's corrupted by- by whatever's causing the calamity."

There was a short silence after that which Snape broke by speaking after flicking his wand, causing the vial to shoot back to Loki. "Help me make rejuven-"

"Sure." Loki nodded and interrupted even before Snape could finish his sentence.

Loki rolled up his sleeves to bring himself the required materials.

He felt this was just the kind of thing he needed right now. Something monotonous and repetitive to take his mind off things and distract himself.

As Loki started to make the potion he asked Snape a random question, "Does the Headmaster know what's causing all this?"

Snape said nothing for a while but in a few seconds he whispered, "Yes."

"Then why hasn't he taken care of it already?"

There was a soft silence for a while interrupted only by the simmering of the potion in the cauldrons and the popping of bubbles, but Snape then spoke, "I do not know. Perhaps, because it is not time yet."

"Not time yet? For what? For someone to actually die?" Loki asked lightly while cracking a joke.

"One does not simply question a God's intentions.", Snape whispered as if he were talking about forbidden knowledge.

After calmly evaluating Loki's potion and feeling satisfied with it, he explained, "Seeking knowledge you should not possess can drive you to insanity."

Loki just rolled his eyes and went back to making the potion. His mind partially wondered about the meaning behind the words Snape said, but he soon lost himself in the monotony of the task presented before him.
