A Mistake? I Think Not.

Sleeping on his bed while lying perfectly still, Loki was buried under a comfortable quilt with a dreamless sleep.

And in this silence a soft *click* was heard.

The door to Loki's room opened with a low *creak* as someone slowly opened it and stepped inside.

The silhouette of the thief that entered Loki's room was small, even smaller than Loki himself but either fortunately or unfortunately, Loki didn't rise.

"This is the last room. It has got to be here." The intruder whispered.

"Silencio!" The intruder commanded and with a wave of her wand, the entire room fell into a deafening silence where even Loki's breaths were no longer audible.

The intruder then cast a lumos charm that caused a small but bright light to erupt out of the tip of her wand and float into the centre of the room, revealing not only the intruder's identity to be Ginny Weasley but also the trunk that had been pushed aside after she entered the room.

Ginny immediately waved her wand and caused all the belongings inside the trunk to shoot out but she couldn't find what she was looking for no matter how hard she tried.

Ginny peered around the room, high and low, from end to end but she couldn't find the book she was desperately searching for.

There was an ancient runes textbook on the table which motivated her to work a little harder but no matter where she looked she couldn't find the book she was looking for.

As Loki slept under all the commotion Ginny finally turned to look at him.

"Is it on him?" She whispered with cold eyes and walked to him with her wand pulled out.

Loki stirred a little as Ginny came closer but seeing him not waking up and his wand on the bedside table she deemed him to be of no danger and walked right up to him.

Ginny used her wand to lift his quilt and check underneath his robes to try and find the book that was missing.

Her wand eventually knocked something hard inside Loki's robes.

"Got it!" Ginny said with a cold smirk on her face unlike what she normally was like and pulled the book out of Loki's clutches.

"Time to put you to sleep forever, Gehrman Sparrow. Thank the troubles you caused for your short life." Ginny said and pointed her wand at Loki.

But just as she was about to execute a spell, her eyes fell on the cover of the book she'd just taken out of Loki's robes.

'One thousand jokes for your family. By Albus Dumbledore.'

"Huh?"

"What is this rubbish.", Ginny mumbled with anger clearly reflecting in her eyes.

"Did I make a mistake?"

"No! How can I!?"

"But…." Ginny opened the book to check if Loki was using some secret technique to hide the book and read the first joke in it.

'Why did the Wizard go to school?'

'To improve his spell-ing.'

-_-

'Why did Albus Dumbledore never play hide and seek with the Dark Lord?'

'Because the dark lord was afraid to even speak his na-'

"I'm not afraid of his name! Albus Dumbledore!! How could I fight him for so long to achieve 'Her' wishes if I was as afraid of calling his name as he is of me!"

Ginny's eyes quickly scanned the room when she said that and her subconsciously tense shoulders relaxed a little after she did.

But then a thought struck Ginny's mind leading her to a revelation, "Ah…he was a fourth year, this boy is barely in his second year I suppose."

"Too bad.", Ginny said and then left the same way she'd arrived in the room and used the Nox charm to wave the lights off.

After a while, Loki stirred from his sleep and woke up. He looked around his room and for a second felt afraid that someone had come into his room to bully him, but once he found no one inside the room, he calmly looked around all the things that were overturned with a smile.

'I see. So today she worked on the Slytherin common room. I guess I can safely say putting the book inside the Sefirah Castle was the best choice.'

With a smirk, Loki began to rearrange everything perfectly so that he could go back to sleep in his warm quilt and wake up fresh the next day.

As he checked the joke book he'd transfigured, Loki was surprised to find that it had been opened.

'He read this?'

'He's brave…'

'But if 'Adam' didn't interfere it can only mean either he knows how to avoid letting 'Adam' know when his name is spoken or all this was according to 'Adam's' plan.'

'Either way, I already know how I'm going to swindle him this year. Not my problem. I won't get stuck in his stupid plan for our lord and saviour.'

'As a swindler, I have my own pride…how can I be a part of someone else's plans without profiting off of it in some way?'

Waking up with a smile on his face the next day, Loki stepped out of his room and noticed the commotion that had gripped the common room. Several students were standing outside their rooms and talking to Professor Snape.

Snape looked at Loki as did the other students but by the time they could question him, he bowed to Snape, said his greetings and left the common room calmly.

As soon as Loki arrived at the Great Hall, he found Ginny Weasley sitting at the Gryffindor table, eating with fervour. He then used his spirit vision on her to take note of her physical condition.

'Ha! She seems to be perfectly fine.'

'I should do a divination later to check if she's in danger anymore.'

Apart from Ginny's health, there was another reason for Loki's upbeat mood.

It was because, from yesterday's event, he'd digested about twenty more per cent of the potion, bringing him to about fifty-five per cent of the potion digested.

'Is it because the incident spread around the castle to the Professors?'

'So Professor Snape and the others think it is related to me, but don't know exactly how…'

'With all this, I'm pretty sure they already suspect that I'm a Beyonder of some sort…if 'Adam's' attempt at roping me into things weren't enough proof already that he wants something from me.'

'I see.'

'Too bad for them I have no plan on revealing my potion's name or even abilities.'

'Less than half is left for me to digest now.'

'The newspaper should also bring me about five per cent in total by the end of the year…'

'And I'm sure the more time I spend swindling Tom for his knowledge, the more my potion will digest from fooling him for a longer period continuously.'

'And the Chamber of Secrets will remain closed.'

'It's a win-win situation for both parties involved.' Loki concluded, continuing his day as normal while he attended his classes.

During the night, when Loki finally opened the dangerous diary once again, he wrote down his thoughts, 'Hello, Tom, just wanted to ask you a question about runes, could you help me out?'

'...sure.' was the reply that came back after a little while.

'I wanted to know what happens when one combines the infinity rune and the triangle rune. Since the triangle rune is used to focus spirituality to a point and the infinity rune is used to create a stable movement will the result be a charm that can be used as a needle?'

'I can give you the answer if you give me an answer.'

'Oh?' Loki thought, wondering why Tom was acting out of character. 'Is he that desperate?'

'What would your question be?'

'...nothing too complicated, I was just wondering if the chamber of secrets is still open in Hogwarts.'

'How do you know about that?' Loki asked calmly.

'Well, my previous owner shared some information with me.'

'Pervious owner? The one that tried to flush you down the toilet?'

'....yes.'

Loki controlled himself to keep away the smile that was threatening to break out on his lips and responded appropriately, 'Nothing happened with the chamber of secrets recently, the matter has died down. Oh yeah from right about when I found this diary of yours.'

'I see.' Tom responded back and continued to teach Loki about ancient runes helping Loki with his pet project of creating a spell for himself.

Eventually, when Loki got tired of picking Tom's brain, he said good night to Tom and sealed him in a box sealed by walls of spirituality and placed him on his bedside table.

He then spoke to Elane and helped his Niffler friend explore the castle after which he finally collapsed into his bed.

But just as Loki was about to fall asleep he suddenly woke up and moved to the bathroom as if he really needed to use it.

Loki gave the book that was sealed by a wall of spirituality one last look and slipped into the washroom.

'Huh.'

'A mistake?'

'I think not!'

Worry embraced Loki as he immediately rushed to perform the Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth ritual to enter the Sefirah Castle.
