"Sarutobi..." Danzo's pupils constricted as he said solemnly, "We should contact Jiraiya and Tsunade. Konoha needs them now."

"Jiraiya... Tsunade..." Hiruzen gritted his teeth and finally nodded. "Very well, I'll contact them."

At that moment, a ninja from the communications department rushed into the Hokage's office, bearing a letter from Yusuke.

Hiruzen swallowed hard, his throat dry as he opened the weighty missive. He knew it must contain exorbitant demands.

Mere seconds after unfolding the letter, the Third Hokage's breathing grew labored. He suddenly slammed his fist on the table!

"Outrageous! He — he's cutting off Konoha's retreat!"

Danzo frowned and took the letter.

"Effective immediately, the Land of Fire will allocate fifty percent of its annual agricultural yield to the Land of Water. Furthermore, the territorial boundaries of the Land of Fire will be adjusted, with certain regions incorporated into the Land of Water's jurisdiction."

"He's delusional!" Danzo snarled, equally enraged.

If they agreed to these terms, how could Konoha possibly develop? Yet if they refused, Kirigakure would launch a full-scale war against them.

"And... this last condition..." Danzo's voice trailed off in astonishment as he read the final demand.

Hiruzen quickly glanced over, stunned for several seconds. His face darkened like a thundercloud.

"He's... trying to completely sever Konoha's ties with the Uchiha clan!"

After a moment of deep contemplation, Danzo placed a heavy hand on Sarutobi's shoulder.

"Old friend, we must agree for now. Otherwise, we won't even have a chance to unite with other ninja villages."

"You mean to feign agreement, and then secretly..." Hiruzen's gaze sharpened.

"We can delay the resource allocation for two days... but this last demand — Yusuke Kamizuki has given a strict ultimatum. Sarutobi, the decision rests with you." Danzo said gravely.

"For the greater good! The Uchiha clan must make sacrifices too. Besides, this shouldn't be too much to ask of them. Fugaku Uchiha should understand the stakes." Hiruzen's mouth twitched, but eventually, he nodded firmly.

There was no other choice at the moment.

Uchiha clan's residence.

"Fugaku, you haven't eaten all day."

Inside the clan leader's residence, a graceful figure brought steaming hot food to Fugaku's side. Concern shone in Mikoto's beautiful eyes.

"That Yusuke Kamizuki! I'll personally kill him and use his blood to honor my clan!" Fugaku snarled. Then, composing himself, he turned to Mikoto, "Don't worry, I'm fine. You've worked so hard during this time. Once the war is over, I'll marry you."

Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she softly responded, "Mm."

"Chief! The Third Hokage is here!" A clan member called from outside.

"Mm." Fugaku nodded, unsurprised by the Hokage's visit.

Moments later, Hiruzen entered. Without preamble, he announced Konoha's defeat and presented Yusuke's outrageous compensation letter.

Fugaku frowned as he examined the document.

"Third Hokage, shouldn't you be the one to decide such matters?"

Hiruzen paused, glancing at Mikoto Uchiha standing behind Fugaku. Then, he spoke softly.

"Chief Fugaku, please look at the final condition."

"The final condition?" Fugaku's gaze sharpened.

"I, Yusuke Kamizuki, hereby formally request the hand of Mikoto Uchiha in marriage. I respectfully ask that Mikoto Uchiha join me at the front lines by dawn tomorrow. Should this request not be honored, I regret to inform you that I will be compelled to mobilize our entire village to initiate a full-scale military operation against Konohagakure."

As Fugaku finished reading, his face cycled from red to green in an instant.

"He's delusional!!!!!!"
