Mate bonds

The next day, Jean woke up to find herself snuggled against Logan in the bedroom of his old house.

The sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. She hugged him tightly and lost consciousness last night, looking around she thinks 'He must have brought us to bed last night.'

Jean blushed as she realized they had fallen asleep holding each other. She shifted slightly, and Logan slowly opened his eyes and their gazes met.

"Good morning," Logan said, a soft smile on his face.

Jean's cheeks flushed, and she stammered, "Good morning."

They lay there for a moment longer, comfortable in the shared warmth.

Eventually, they both got up. Logan showed Jean to the bathroom so she could freshen up. He left a pile of clothes outside the door for her while he went to another room to clean up.

Despite the town being abandoned by them, Logan's house and properties had been maintained by some humans who trusts him, butt they were now gone, but the facilities were still in good shape.

After they were both ready, they met in the kitchen for breakfast. Logan had prepared a simple meal, and as they ate, he flirted lightly with Jean. She found herself laughing more, as she is beginning to forget the horrors and feeling a strange comfort in his presence.

Later, Logan decided to call Laura to update her on what had happened. He stepped away to make the call, leaving Jean at the table.

Once she picked up he explained what happened here.

"Laura, I found her.... Her name is Jean Grey, things got out of hand with her powers. She didn't have anywhere else to go."

Laura's voice was calm as she understands who he is talking about. "Bring her home, Logan. We'll take care of her."

"How about you bring our pack here, the town is gone, we can make new base here."

She thinks for a moment and says "Alright, we'll be there soon."

As he hung up the phone and turned around, he noticed Jean staring at him intently, her expression a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

"Who's on the phone?" she asked.

Logan said, "It's my wife."

Jean's face fell in shock. "You're married?" she exclaimed, her voice trembling. "Why didn't you tell me this?"

Logan tried to calm her down, raising his hands in a placating gesture. "Jean, you—"

Before he could finish, Jean's eyes began to glow a deep red, fiery veins appearing on her face.

Logan felt a powerful force pushing against him, but he absorbed the kinetic energy, standing his ground. Unfortunately, his clothes weren't as durable; they disintegrated to ash, leaving him naked once again.

Logan sighed, half-amused, half-exasperated. "I really need to make some clothes that won't be affected by all this shit."

Jean's powers flared again, and Logan could see she was struggling to control her emotions. He approached her slowly, despite the force pushing him back.

"Jean," he called out softly. "Look at me."

Her eyes met his, still blazing with anger and hurt. Logan gently placed his hands on her cheeks, his gaze steady and reassuring.

"We can talk," he said, his voice calm. "But you need to stop using this... force."

For a moment, Jean didn't back down, but soon the fiery glow in her eyes dimmed. She blinked, and a look of horror spread across her face. Tears welled up as she realized what she had almost done.

Logan immediately hugged her.

"Logan... I'm a monster," she sobbed, struggling in his arms. "I tried to kill you. Let me go..."

Logan tightened his embrace, speaking softly but firmly. "You're not a monster, Jean."

He lifted her face to his and kissed her gently. Jean's eyes widened in surprise, but as Logan's lips moved against hers, soft and caring, she melted into the kiss, returning it with a desperate need for comfort.

When the kiss ended, Jean's face was flushed. She stammered, "S-something is... touching me..."

Logan glanced down to see his little brother's standing proud and sighed again. "Sorry about that." He then took a step back, giving her space.

Since he is naked, Jean can see his body which is muscular with six packs and tried to look away but failing and sometimes she even eyes his member who is standing tall.

Logan decided to make a point. "Jean, if you think you're a monster, then take a look at this."

Standing a few steps away, Logan transformed into his Alpha Werewolf form. His body shifted and grew, covered in thick black fur.

Jean's eyes widened in surprise, but instead of fear, she seemed intrigued. She approached him slowly, reaching out to touch his fur.

"You're soft... and kinda cute," she said with a small smile.

Logan, caught off guard by her reaction, didn't know what to say. His intention had been to show her that she wasn't alone in feeling different, that she wasn't the only one who could be seen as a "monster." But instead, she seemed comforted, even amused by his transformation.

Jean hugged him, resting her head against his furry chest. "I get what you're trying to convey, Logan. Thank you for being there for me."

Logan hugged her back, and as he did, he shifted back into his human form. They stood there, holding each other for a while longer, both finding solace in the embrace.

Suddenly, a portal opened nearby, and Laura stepped through. She paused, taking in the scene of Logan and Jean embracing each other.

"Wow, Logan," Laura teased with a smirk. "You come back after so long and now you're cheating on me?"

Jean pulled away, horrified, trying to explain. "No, no, it's not what it looks like—"

Logan and Laura burst into laughter, causing Jean to pause in confusion. Logan shook his head, still chuckling. "She's just messing with you, Jean."

Laura snapped her fingers, and with a flick of magic, new clothes appeared on Logan. He smiled, adjusting his new attire. "Magic sure is convenient."

As they were talking, more portals opened around them, and several betas of the pack stepped through, forming a circle around them.

Jean looked around, sighing as she realized she was going to have to get used to these surprises.

Logan looked at his pack, now assembled. "Alright, everyone," he said, his voice filled with warmth. "Let's rebuild our home."

------

The pack began to reclaim Whitehaven as their own again, transforming the abandoned town into a sanctuary for their kind.

Unlike before, there was no need to coexist with humans, and now this place was truly theirs.

The streets, once bustling with humans, were now filled with the werewolf pack. They worked diligently, repairing buildings, magic betas are setting up protective wards, and establishing a stronghold that would ensure their safety and privacy.

The town was theirs now, and it will be free from the prying eyes of the outside world.

Laura, noticing Jean's unease amidst all the activity, gently took her by the hand and led her away from the others.

They walked through the quiet streets, heading towards a secluded spot near a small lake surrounded by tall pine trees. The water shimmered in the sunlight, and the wind rustled softly through the branches, providing a peaceful backdrop for their conversation.

Laura turned to Jean, her expression kind but serious. "We need to talk, Jean. About you, about what happened, and what's going to happen next."

Jean nodded and told her about her, her family and what happened here.

After finishing the story her face is still showing signs of confusion and lingering guilt. "I... I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused," she began, her voice barely a whisper. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen. It's just—my powers, I can't control them, and—"

Laura held up a hand to stop her, smiling gently. "You don't need to apologize. None of this is your fault. Powers like yours... they're not easy to manage, especially when emotions run high. We've all been there, in our own way."

Jean sighed, her shoulders relaxing slightly as Laura's calm demeanor began to put her at ease. "But... all those people... they're gone because of me."

Laura stepped closer, placing a reassuring hand on Jean's shoulder. "I understand how you feel, truly. But you need to know that this will be your new home now. You're safe here, with us. We're your family now."

Jean looked up with a flicker of hope in her eyes. "Family?"

Laura nodded. "Yes, family. And as part of this family, we look out for each other, no matter what."

Jean was about to say something, but Laura continued before she could speak. "And I want to address the thing with Logan," Laura said, her tone shifting slightly.

Jean blushed, glancing down. "I... I didn't mean for anything to happen between us. I didn't even know he was married to you..."

Laura chuckled softly. "That's what I wanted to talk to you about. Logan isn't just my mate—he's yours too."

Jean's eyes widened in confusion. "I don't understand. What do you mean? and I've never seen people like you before. Or felt the things I'm feeling with Logan."

Laura gave a reassuring smile. "That's because we're not like regular people. We're werewolves."

"Werewolves? Logan did transform back them but are you guys Like... from the stories and myths?"

Laura nodded. "Yes, exactly. But the myths don't cover the whole truth. We are a pack, bound together by more than just our ability to transform. We share a deep connection with one another—a bond that's stronger than anything you might know as a human."

Laura took a deep breath, deciding to explain things as clearly as she could. "Being a werewolf isn't just about turning into a wolf. It's about a different way of living and experiencing the world. We have heightened senses, strength, and an innate connection to each other. And one of the most significant aspects of our existence is the concept of a 'mate bond.'"

Jean frowned slightly. "Mate bond? Like... marriage?"

Laura smiled gently. "In a way, yes, but it goes much deeper than that. A mate bond is a spiritual and emotional connection that ties our souls together. It's a bond that goes beyond physical attraction or love. It's a connection that is felt on a much deeper level, something that's almost impossible to put into words."

"In our world, the concept of a 'mate' is different from what humans might think of as marriage or a relationship. A mate is someone you are bonded to for life. It's not just about love or attraction; it's a deep, spiritual connection that ties our souls together. Logan and I are mates, yes, but he is also bonded to you."

Jean looked bewildered. "But how can that be? I mean, isn't being a mate supposed to be... exclusive?"

Laura shook her head. "Not always. Sometimes, a mate bond can extend to more than one person. It's rare, but it happens. The bond is formed by a deep connection, often one that transcends time and space. When Logan met you, he felt that bond. And from what he's told me, he felt it very strongly."

Jean took a moment to process this, her mind racing. "So... when you say I'm his mate... you mean we're... bound to each other, like you and him?"

"Yes," Laura confirmed. "And that bond is why you feel so drawn to him, why you feel safe with him despite everything that's happened. It's not something you can easily explain, and it's definitely not something you can just ignore or pretend doesn't exist."

Jean still seemed overwhelmed. "But what about you? Aren't you upset about this? I mean, doesn't it bother you?"

Laura smiled warmly. "Jean, in our world, a mate bond isn't something to be jealous of. It's a blessing. It's not about possession or exclusivity. It's about connection and unity. And seeing you, being with you... it doesn't take away from what I have with Logan. If anything, it adds to it. We're stronger together."

Jean hesitated, absorbing Laura's words. "I don't know what to say. I've never felt anything like this before. It's like I'm... complete when I'm with him."

Laura nodded. "That's the mate bond. It's powerful, and it's something that will help you as you learn to control your powers. Logan can help you with that. I can help you with that. And together, we can figure this all out."

Jean's eyes filled with tears, but this time they were tears of relief, not sorrow. She had found a place where she belonged, where she was understood and accepted for who she was. "Thank you, Laura. For everything."

Laura hugged her gently. "You're welcome, Jean. Welcome to the family."

As they stood by the lake, embracing, Jean felt a weight lift from her shoulders. She wasn't alone anymore. She had a family, a place where she could be herself without fear or judgment.

And most importantly, she had Logan and Laura, two people who accepted her completely.

Logan who is seeing from a long distance all this smiled and went back to New York through a portal opened by one of the betas who leaned magic.
