"Even though Natasha had filled me in, I must admit that seeing this catalog in person is something else," Nick Fury said with genuine surprise, continuing to flip through the pages of the Devil Fruit catalog. "It's far more impressive than I expected."

It wasn't an act; his surprise was genuine. Despite having encountered extraterrestrials, vampires, magic, and countless other supernatural phenomena, Devil Fruits still managed to amaze him. What stood out the most to him was how easily these incredible powers could be obtained—simply by eating a fruit, and they were yours to wield.

"A dizzying array of miraculous powers, all packed into small fruits. Anyone can gain them just by eating one. But such easily obtained power could be a blessing or a curse." Fury murmured his words, leaving room for interpretation. Was he simply reflecting on the nature of these powers, or was he subtly probing Rosh's thoughts on the matter?

Rosh, however, paid little attention to Fury. His hands were busy tapping quickly on his phone screen, clearly absorbed in something important. At first, Fury assumed the Shopkeeper was handling important matters. But when he casually glanced at Rosh's phone, he couldn't help but feel a wave of frustration.

The man was playing a game.

Here he was, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., a figure of national importance, and he was being completely ignored in favor of a mobile game. But Fury quickly regained his composure. His thick skin had withstood far worse, and he redirected his focus to the catalog. The more he flipped through its pages, the more absorbed he became in what he was reading.

Hearing about Devil Fruits was one thing, but seeing the detailed descriptions for himself was something entirely different.

- Chop-Chop Fruit: Grants the user the ability to break their body into separate pieces and control each part independently.

'Why would anyone want to do that?' Fury thought, raising an eyebrow in disbelief.

- Mark-Mark Fruit: Allows the user to mark targets, ensuring precise tracking and attacks.

"Hawkeye would probably love this one," Fury mused to himself.

- Silent-Silent Fruit: Nullifies all sounds within a specified radius.

"Pretty useless," Fury concluded with a hint of disappointment.

He continued flipping through the pages, evaluating one fruit after another. Many of them were intriguing, but none seemed particularly fitting for him—until he stumbled upon a specific entry.

"This 'Glare-Glare Fruit'... It can see through objects and read minds?" Fury's eyes narrowed as he focused intently on the page. The ability seemed almost custom-made for him.

"The X-Ray Vision is perfect for covert missions, spotting hidden enemies, or identifying concealed weapons," Fury thought to himself. "And the Mind Reading will be a game-changer for any intelligence operative, allowing instant discernment of intent," he continued, thinking about the potential advantages of the fruit if he were to acquire its powers.

"Shopkeeper, can you elaborate on this Glare-Glare Fruit?" Fury asked, his voice tinged with anticipation.

Rosh, glancing at the page Fury was pointing to, nodded with approval. "Ah, the Glare-Glare Fruit. Yes, it's an excellent choice, particularly for someone in your line of work. Let me break it down for you."

With that, Rosh began his detailed explanation. "First, the fruit's ability to see through objects works exactly as you'd expect—like X-ray vision. The user can inspect the internal structures of any object with perfect clarity. It's similar to the vision powers of a certain alien superhero you might be familiar with."

Fury nodded in agreement, growing more impressed. "And what about the mind-reading ability?" he asked, eager to hear more.

"Simple," Rosh continued. "It lets you perceive someone's current thoughts and emotions. However, keep in mind that it's limited to the present. You won't be able to access their memories or past experiences—just what's going through their mind at that very moment."

"Even if they're unconscious?" Fury interjected.

"Yes, whether they're sleeping, knocked out, or otherwise unaware, the ability still works," Rosh confirmed.

Fury's appreciation for the fruit grew stronger. The ability to read people, even when they were unconscious, was a game-changer for someone in his line of work.

"One more detail," Rosh added. "When the user isn't actively using the X-ray or mind-reading abilities, their vision is enhanced in a different way—'Hawk's Vision.' This allows them to see up to several thousand kilometers over vast distances."

"Several thousand kilometers?" Fury's composure nearly faltered. The idea seemed almost unbelievable.

"It's true," Rosh confirmed casually. "Imagine being able to see anywhere within a radius of thousands of kilometers with just a glance. Such perception would make you almost omniscient within your operational range."

Fury fell silent, his mind racing as he processed the implications.
