"Take it slow! Everything must be approached with caution!" After calming his emotions, Kilgrave made a decision.
Even though the glowing man seemed bizarre and terrifying, he was not in a hurry to confront him. Luckily for Kilgrave, his power lay in controlling others. He could send countless pawns to investigate without putting himself at risk. This was his only solace.
"Tomorrow, I'll send fewer people. Don't want to make him suspicious." Kilgrave made up his mind. Then he got up, opened the fridge, and took out a bottle of whiskey. After adding a few ice cubes to his glass, he poured himself half a glass and took a slow, savoring sip.
The cool and refreshing taste brought Kilgrave a moment of joy. He didn't know that while he was pouring his drink, a stream of photons silently slipped through the crack in the door and began to gather, forming a humanoid figure.
*Gulp*
Kilgrave downed his glass and was about to pour another, but something felt off. 'Why did the light in the room seem different?' His shadow on the fridge and the wall flickered as though something behind him was emitting a dynamic light source.
"Damn it!" Recalling the glowing man he had seen in the Devil Fruit shop, Kilgrave's stomach clenched with fear. He spun around, his pupils dilating in horror. There stood a man bathed in golden light, calmly watching him.
'It's him! How did he find me so fast?!'
"Listen, that was all a misunderstanding," Kilgrave hastily raised his hands in surrender, trying to explain himself.
*Zing!*
Rosh gave him no chance to speak. He pointed a finger, shooting a photon beam piercing through Kilgrave's head.
"Ugh!" Kilgrave let out a faint grunt, his body going limp and collapsing to the floor.
Rosh gazed coldly at the body lying before him. Without a word, his form dissolved into light particles that swiftly seeped through the window's crack, vanishing into the night.
The room had been locked from the inside, creating a sealed environment. When Kilgrave's body was eventually discovered, it would appear to be an unsolvable locked-room murder case. Unfortunately, there was no Sherlock Holmes in this world. Even if there were, no detective could deduce that the killer had transformed into light to carry out the murder.
The truth of that room would remain buried in the shadows forever.
But none of that mattered to Rosh anymore.

Helen Cho's Research Center.
"Jennifer, have you recorded the data from the first fifteen experiments?" Helen asked her assistant as she continued working on the control panel for the Regeneration Cradle.
"Yes, Dr. Cho. As per your instructions, everything has been documented," her assistant, Jennifer, promptly replied.
"Great! Now run a comparative analysis of the data, and don't forget to apply the O'Brien coefficient." Helen instructed, clearly satisfied.
"Understood."
As Helen continued her research, another staff member in a white lab coat approached.
"Dr. Cho, someone's here to make an appointment for treatment," the staff member said cautiously.
"I already told you I'm in the middle of critical experiments. Cancel all such appointments for now," Helen replied, frowning slightly.
Recently, due to the effects of the Devil Fruit, the number of people seeking treatment had significantly disrupted her research schedule. Now that her experiments were at a crucial stage, she couldn't afford any distractions.
"I understand, Dr. Cho. I was going to decline, but the person mentioned they had an appointment with you, so I came to check."
"If they had an appointment, why didn't they contact me directly?"
"He said he didn't want to disturb you, knowing your experiment was at a critical point."
"No one scheduled an appointment with me. Who is this person?"
"He said if you forgot, I should remind you that you discussed the potential applications of the Regeneration Cradle in genetic research with him..."
'Bruce!' Helen's eyes lit up.
She immediately realized who had come to see her. The visitor must be Bruce Banner. After sending him an email over a month ago and hearing nothing in return, she had given up hope and forgotten about it. But now, here he was, showing up in person.
"Where is he?"
"In the reception room."
Helen immediately turned to Jennifer. "Jennifer, keep an eye on things here. I've already gone over what needs to be done, right?"
"Leave it to me, Dr. Cho," Jennifer nodded confidently.
Helen then hurried to the reception room. As expected, she found Bruce Banner there, looking exhausted and thinner than she remembered. He was wearing a tennis cap that seemed entirely out of place, and his face was etched with weariness.
"Dr. Cho, long time no see!" Bruce greeted her with a tired smile, removing his cap as he stood.
"Oh my God, Bruce, what happened to you?" Helen exclaimed, barely able to believe her eyes.
'Could this be the same brilliant, poised scholar she once knew?' He looked like he'd been through hell. She now understood why he had been so hard to reach. Clearly, Banner had been dealing with some serious troubles.
"Well, it's a long story. Trust me, you don't want to know," Bruce Banner replied with a wry smile, shaking his head.
"Bruce, I understand. I won't pry. But if you need anything from me, anything at all, just let me know, okay?" Helen said warmly. She could tell Bruce was going through something difficult and was more than willing to offer her support.
