Chapter 60: The Showdown at the Po-ke Corral

(After returning home after her journey and earning her badges.)

(Mew and her friends stay at Gary's house for the night to in a way have a bit of a sleepover.)

(In the guest bedroom, Mew along with Pikachu, Eevee are sleeping with Tomo and Meloetta.)

(As she sleeps, someone begins to tap her on the shoulder.)

(Follow by a voice.)

Mr. Mime: "Mr. Mime. Mr. Mime. Mr. Mime Mr. Mime," (Mew. Everyone. It's time to wake up.)

(Mew soon begins to slowly open her eyes and turns her head to see the source of the voice, Mr. Mime.)

Mew: "Morning Mr. Mime,"

(Mew says.)

Mr. Mime: "Mr. Mime," (Good morning.)

(Mr. Mime happily says.)

(Soon, Tomo, Pikachu, Eevee, and Meloetta wake up.)

(A little sleepy, Tomo says.)

Tomo: "Morning Mew."

Mew: "Morning Tomo. Good morning everyone,"

(Mew happily says.)

(The Pokemon happily answer with glee.)

Mr. Mime: "Mr. Mime. Mr Mime," (It's time to wash up, breakfast will be ready soon.)

(Mr. Mime says.)

(A little time later after getting dressed and washing up, Mew, Tomo.)

(and the other Pokemon walk to the kitchen.)

(to see Adriana and Brock preparing breakfast.)

(Adriana turns to see them.)

Adriana: "Morning, did you sleep well?"

Mew: "We slept fine,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "We had a good sleep,"

(Tomo says.)

(Soon, the four Pokemon begin to eat their Pokemon food.)

(while Mew and Tomo sit on the table with Misty, Gary, and Daisy.)

(Zeraora is with Mama Kangaskhan who are having their food outside, to enjoy some rays.)

Gary: "You slept a little later than usual,"

(Gary says.)

Mew: "I'm just a little tired, it's also nice to be back home,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. Pallet Town looks great,"

(Tomo says.)

(Adriana turns to Mr. Mime.)

Adriana: "Oh, Mimey, will you go fetch some more vegetables from the garden?"

Mr. Mime: "Mime!" (Will do!)

(happily says and hurries off.)

(Mew giggles.)

Mew: "Mr. Mime really likes to do house choices."

Gary: "I guess he does,"

(Gary replies.)

Daisy: "He sure is a big helper,"

(Daisy adds.)

(Soon the group begins laughing.)

(After taste testing the food, Brock says.)

Brock: "We better eat fast. We've got a lot to learn about the Pokemon League from Professor Oak."

Mew: "Right,"

(Mew says.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket is walking along the trail and heading towards Team Rocket HQ.)

(mainly to face their boss for their failures.)

Jessie: "Well, there's no use pretending anymore,"

(Jessie says, depressed.)

(Then James says.)

James: "We haven't successfully stolen a single Pokemon for the boss."

Meowth: "We're just victims of CFS. Chronic Failure Syndrome,"

(Meowth adds, down in the dumps.)

(Soon, they see the HQ in the distance.)

(and James notices it.)

James: "There's his fabulous headquarters."

(Soon, Team Rocket stops in their tracks.)

(Making Jessie questions.)

Jessie: "Wait a minute. What's the worst he could do to us?"

James: "He could yell and scream and fire us all,"

(James answers.)

Meowth: "Not if we quit first,"

(Meowth adds.)

(Then Team Rocket shouts out.)

Team Rocket: "We quit! Let's go!"

(and begins to run away.)

(Suddenly, the Team Rocket HQ explodes.)

(making them stop and turn around to see the explosion.)

(Meowth exclaims.)

Meowth: "Hey, what's that?!"

(The group is in shock to see the headquarters explode.)

(Suddenly, a strange bright light flies out in the air really fast, making them curious.)

(Up close is the mysterious Pokemon that's also the boss' weapon.)

(but it's flying high in the air as it's armor begins to fall apart.)

(It continues to fly high in the air and is soon out of sight.)

Jessie::"What was that thing?"

(Jessie asks, dumfounded.)

James: "I don't know,"

(James answers with the same expression.)

(Team Rocket hurries towards HQ to see the remains of it.)

(and the headquarters is destroyed.)

Jessie: "The boss must be.."

(Jessie says, fearing the worst.)

(Suddenly, they hear a sound and look to see the boss and his Persian and they're still alive.)

(However, the boss is furious.)

(He clutches his fist in anger and says.)

Giovanni: "That thing!"

(That's when Team Rocket hurries to him.)

(Jessie calls out.)

Jessie: "Sir!"

James: "Are you okay?"

(James adds.)

(The boss turns to see Team Rocket and is displeased.)

Giovanni: "Now more bad news."

(Then demands.)

Giovanni: "What are you three doing here?!"

(Jessie and Meowth quickly hide behind James.)

(and the boss' Persian in front of their trainer.)

(James soon begins to say.)

James: "We were just, in the neighborhood."

(Just then, a helicopter comes down.)

(Jessie then asks.)

Jessie: "Sir, is there anything we can do for you?"

Giovanni: "Just do your job for a change!"

(The boss angrily says.)

(Jessie becomes a little frightened.)

Jessie: "I'm sorry I asked."

(The boss along with his Persian walks inside the helicopter and it takes off into the sky.)

Jessie: "You just heard what the boss said, didn't you?"

(Jessie questions.)

James: "He just wants us to do our job,"

(James answers.)

Meowth: "The head honcho just gave us a major vote of confidence."

(Meowth adds.)

(Team Rocket begins to cry for joy.)

(Soon Jessie says with confidence.)

Jessie: "There's no sense in crying over lost Pokemon!

James: We must renew our commitment to stealing!"

Meowth: "Come on, everybody! Let's go on with the show!"

(Meowth adds.)

(Team Rocket cheers as the explosion occurs behind them.)

(Meanwhile, Mew, Gary, and the others arrive at Professor Oak's lab to talk about the Pokemon League.)

(Mew rings the doorbell and Professor Oak calls out.)

Professor Oak: "Come in."

(Soon, Mew and the others let themselves in.)

Gary: "Grandpa, it's me, Gary,"

(Gary calls out.)

Mew: "And Mew,"

(Mew adds.)

(Professor Oak walks in.)

Professor Oak: "Hi Gary. Mew. Hello everyone. It's great to see you. Hello everyone."

Everyone: "Hello,"

(Everyone replies.)

(Even the Pokemon reply, except for Meloetta who is hiding behind Tomo.)

(Mew turns to Meloetta.)

Mew: "Don't worry Meloetta, Professor Oak is very nice."

(Meloetta turns to Professor Oak as he kneels down a little.)

Professor Oak: "Hello Meloetta, it's nice to meet you."

(Professor Oak says with a smile.)

(Meloetta smiles and says.)

Meloetta: "Loetta," (Hello.)

(Then Professor Oak comes to Togepi.)

Professor Oak: "And hello Togepi."

Togepi: "Togepriii!" (Hello.)

(Togepi happily says, having his arms around.)

(After being greeted in.)

(the group are with Professor Oak in another room as they discuss the Pokemon league.)

Professor Oak: "Well then, I'll be happy to let you know that you both are very fine trainers. In fact, you two are considered top Pokemon Trainers here.

Mew and Gary: "Top trainers?!"

(Mew and Gary ask, surprised.)

Professor Oak: "That's right. You're both such fine trainers that you'll be Pokemon masters before long. You might be able to learn from each other."

(Just then, Krabby walks over with a tray of tea.)

(Professor Oak notices.)

Professor Oak: "Here's your Krabby, Mew."

(Mew kneels to him and says.)

Mew: "How ya doing, Krabby? Long time, no see."

(Krabby happily smiles in reply.)

Gary: "That's her, huh?"

(Gary mutters.)

Professor Oak: "Mew, four Pokemon trainers left Pallet Town on their Pokemon Journeys, but you and Gary have earned the most badges and I'm very proud,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "What happened to the other one?"

(Mew asks, curiously.)

Professor Oak: "The trainer got off to an excellent start, but they just didn't have the skill,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "Oh, that's too bad,"

(Mew says.)

Gary: "They just wimped out,"

(Gary says.)

(Mew says.)

Mew: "That's not very nice."

(Then Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "But Gary has ten badges, and you earned eight badges, Mew. That's really quite remarkable."

Mew: "Thank you, but my Pokemon deserves most of the credit.

Misty: "I agree,"

(Misty says.)

Pikachu: "Pika. (Of course.)

(Pikachu says.)

Eevee: "Eevee," (We helped too.)

(Eevee adds.)

Professor Oak: "In any case, I'm glad you're both here. It's time for you and Gary to participate in the Pokemon League,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "Yeah. I can't wait to compete,"

(Mew says.)

Pikachu: "Pika!" (Me too.)

(Pikachu says.)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Me three.)

(Eevee says.)

(Then asks.)

Mew: "Professor Oak, do you know how to get to the Indigo Plateau. Gary told me that held it there every year. I just don't know how to get there.

Professor Oak: "That's correct. You just need to go to Route 23 and then you'll be heading to Victory Road. Exactly two months from today. And there'll be more than 200 trainers competing,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "Over 200? That's a lot of trainers,"

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "That's right. You and Gary should take this time to work hard, train your Pokemon, and get ready for the tournament,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "Right,"

(Mew says.)

(Pikachu and Eevee nod their heads in reply.)

Gary: "You can train all you like, but you're going to have a challenge if you battle me,"

(Gary says.)

Mew::"Don't try to sound too confident."

(Mew says with a grin.)

Gary: "Don't get me wrong, you're a good trainer, but we'll be battling a lot of trainers not just from Kanto, but from other regions. We'll have our work cut out,"

(Gary says.)

Mew: "Don't worry, I'm keeping that in mind. You forget, I caught Pokemon from different Regions as well,"

(Mew says.)

(Meanwhile, at Gary's house, the doorbell rings.)

(Adriana says.)

Adriana: "Coming!"

(Adriana opens the door to see Team Rocket in disguise.)

(Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Good morning. We're from PNN, the Pokemon News Network."

James: "Is there a girl named Mew at home? Because we'd love to feature an interview with her return to Pallet for our show Pokemon Masters of Tomorrow,"

(James asks.)

Adriana: "Oh, you want to put Mew on TV?"

(Adriana asks.)

Jessie: "That's right,"

(Jessie says.)

(Suddenly, Mime begins to sweet the two away.)

Jessie: "We have to see Mew!"

(Jessie cries out.)

(James adds.)

James: "Is she home?!"

Adriana: "She and my son are with their friends and at Professor Oak's laboratory!"

(Adriana calls out.)

Jessie: "Thank you very much!"

(Jessie screams.)

James: "Goodbye, ma'am!"

(James screams.)

(Back at the lab, Mew has Krabby on her lap and is happy.)

Gary: "So, Mew, I guess you're happy with how your Krabby's doing here?"

(Gary asks.)

Mew: "Krabby is fine just the way he is. I do train with him once a while, but he's good all the same,"

(Mew says.)

(Krabby then smiles and looks confident.)

(Gary laughs and takes out his Pokeball.)

Gary: "Check out mine."

(Then calls out his own Krabby.)

(Misty and the others are amazed.)

Misty: "It's huge!"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "Gigantic,"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "It's almost as big as me,"

(Tomo adds.)

Mew: "I remember Professor Oak showing me and she's big,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "She?"

(Misty says, confused.)

Gary: "Yep. My Krabby is a girl,"

(Gary says.)

Gary: "I keep rotating my Pokemon so they all get to battle and get bigger and stronger,"

(Gary says.)

Mew: "Me too. I guess for my reason is also so I can be with each and every one of them,"

(Mew says.)

Gary: "That's so you,"

(Gary says.)

(Then asks.)

Gary: "By the way, how many Pokemon do you have so far?"

Mew: "Hmm, I do have a lot of Pokemon, and some are from different Regions like Ursaring, Axew, Silcoon and Cinderace,"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to her friends.)

Mew: "Same with my friends."

Brock: "She's right about that. Some of our Pokemon were adopted after what happened with Charmander and Damian,"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "Who?"

(Tomo says, confused.)

(Misty turns to Tomo.)

Misty: "That's right, you weren't with us at the time. To be honest, Charmander and some of our other Pokemon used to belong to Damian, but he abandoned Charmander thinking that it's weak. We saved Charmander and it stood up to Damian after learning the truth about him."

Brock: "After that, it turned out that he was also abusing his other Pokemon. He was arrested by Officer Jenny, a few Pokemon decided to be with me, Mew, and Misty,"

(Brock says.)

Gary: "You know, I think you have a habit of finding and raising Pokemon who were abandoned by their trainers. You told me that Squirtle and Bulbasaur were abandoned by their trainers until they decided to be with you,"

(Gary says.)

Mew: "That's right,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Gary remembers.)

Gary: "That reminds me, remember that Pokemon we met that was abused by it's trainer."

Mew: "I remember,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "What kind of Pokemon was it?"

(Brock asks.)

Misty: "What happened?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "Gary and I were at the lake playing with the water Pokemon. But then, we saw a trainer that was being very rotten to his Pokemon, calling it worthless and other mean things. He even had his other Pokemon attack it, but I rushed over with Lapras to stop them taking the Pokemon away to get help,"

(Mew says.)

Gary: "Yeah. You used Lapras to turn that trainer into an ice block,"

(Gary says.)

(Then he says.)

Gary: "After we took it to grandpa's lab, the Pokemon was very scared that it refused to be around everyone, but Mew was able to help it and it warmed up to us. After some time, the Pokemon feels a lot better, and is released to the wild. We haven't seen it since."

Misty: "That's a nice story,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "What Pokemon was it?"

(Tomo asks

Mew: "A Purrloin,"

(Mew answers.)

(Suddenly, Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "Interesting."

(The group turns to see Professor Oak at the computer.)

(Turns out he has Gary and Mew's Pokedex scanned and they soon eject from the computer.)

(Professor Oak walks to the two trainers and says.)

Professor Oak: "I just scanned all of your Pokedexes and compared them all together, and the results show that Gary has seen sixty different Pokemon, and Mew has seen over 100, including those from other regions."

(Gary is sweating bullets and Mew giggles in reply.)

(Then Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "But Gary captured many more Pokemon than her."

Mew: "That just shows that we have our own ways of involving ourselves with Pokemon,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "That's true, even though Mew caught plenty of Pokemon, she always loves to make friends with them,"

(Misty says.)

(Then Gary turns to his grandpa.)

Gary: "Grandpa, let's go to your lab and show em all the Pokemon I caught."

Professor Oak: "Yes. Good idea. Let's Poke round in my laboratory,"

(Professor Oak says.)

(Soon, Mew and the others walk into the special lab and it's full of Pokeballs.)

Professor Oak: "Well, here we are. These are the Pokeballs that hold the Pallet Town trainers' Pokemon,"

(Professor Oak says.)

(Mew and the others are amazed.)

Tomo: "Wow! Professor, there must be thousands of Pokemon in here!"

(Tomo says.)

(Then Professor Oak walks to Mew's section.)

Professor Oak: "And these, these are the ones I received from Mew."

Misty: "That's a lot of Pokeballs,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "And some of them is what we got from the Safari Zone,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "On the other hand, Gary's captured more than 200 Pokemon."

Gary: "Not too bad,"

(Gary replies.)

Mew: "200?!"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "I wonder that if Gary caught more than one of some kind,"

(Misty replies.)

(Then Gary says.)

Gary: "You can never have too many Pokemon, that's my motto. The more Pokemon you have, the better position you're in to win battles."

Mew: "Sounds like you got a lot of friends,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "You two have very different, but very valid, views on training Pokemon. On your journeys, you each captured different Pokemon, and with your different personalities, you learned to understand and care for them in different ways."

Gary: "Yeah,"

(Gary says.)

Mew: "Guess you're right,"

(Mew says.)

(Professor Oak kneels to Pikachu and Eevee.)

Professor Oak: "Pokemon are special, and they need our special care."

Pikachu: "Pika?" (We do?)

(Pikachu asks.)

(Professor Oak then pets Pikachu.)

Professor Oak: "Just like every other living creature, they deserve our consideration and our respect. If we care for them the way we care for those we love, we'll be able to live in peace as we learn about them and ourselves. My research has taught me that we need to deal with Pokemon like we need to deal with people, as individuals, if we want to discover their mysteries.

Brock: "Is that why you decided to take care of so many Pokemon, Professor?"

(Brock asks.)

(Professor Oak gets up and says.)

Professor Oak: "Yes, it is. And not only does every Pokemon I care for become part of my research, but they also become part of myself."

Gary: "A part of yourself?"

(Gary replies, curiously.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket are walking in the woods.)

(James complains.)

James: "My legs are killing me."

Meowth: "My paws are pounding,"

(Meowth adds.)

(Then James asks.)

James: "Whose idea was it to come in the back way?"

Meowth: "It wasn't mine,"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Oh, stop your complaining! Professor Oak's research area is gigantic."

James: "Well, I'm getting tired,"

(James says.)

Meowth: "Let's take a cat nap,"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "Quiet! Keep walking,"

(Jessie says as she ends up kicking a pebble to a tree.)

(When the rock hits the tree.)

(a bunch of Kakuna drops from the trees, causing Team Rocket to panic.)

(Jessie panics.)

Jessie: "If those are Kakuna.."

James: "There must be.."

(James adds.)

(Then Meowth panics.)

Meowth: "Beedrill nearby! Run for your lives!"

(Right on cue, a swarm of Beedrill flies in and attacks as Team Rocket runs away.)

James: "We should've known they'd be in a Pokemon researcher's garden!"

(James panics.)

Jessie: "Then why didn't we?"

(Jessie questions.)

(Meowth then screams.)

Meowth: "Quit fighting, keep running!"

(Soon, they slam into something and fall to the ground.)

(They all soon sit up to feel the pain.)

(James grits his teeth and says.)

James: "Get the license plate number."

(They look at the thing they bump into to see a.)

Team rocket: "Snorlax?!"

(Soon, the Beedrills are closing in on the frightened Team Rocket.)

(Team Rocket screams to see the Beedrills.)

(Meanwhile, Professor Oak explains to them about the routine he does at the lab.)

Professor Oak: "Every morning, I start my day by checking on all the Pokemon. Then, I let the Pokemon out of their Pokeballs so they can get a bit of exercise and fresh air. Of course, I've created special habitats for each type of Pokemon. Then, it's time to feed the Pokemon their breakfasts, and you can imagine how long it takes to feed so many different Pokemon. As soon as I'm done, it's time for lunch."

(He laughs, and continues.)

Professor Oak: "In the afternoon, I begin my research. For example, I've recently been studying the variations of individual Pokemon of the same types. The findings are extremely interesting. Then there's dinner, and back into the Pokeballs they go. And that's basically what I do every day."

(Soon, Professor Oak, Mew, Gary, and the others walk out of the lab and into the fields.)

Tomo: "You must get to learn a lot, living with so many Pokemon,"

(Tomo replies.)

Professor Oak: "Yes, living here certainly gives me a unique opportunity to research and communicate with lots of interesting Pokemon,"

(Professor Oak says.)

(Just then, a Doduo walks over to them, Gary notices it.)

Gary: "Hiya, Doduo. How's everything going today?"

Mew: "Is that your Doduo?"

(Mew asks.)

Gary: "Yep,"

(Gary answers.)

(Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Doduo, the Twin Bird Pokemon and the Pre-evolved form of Dodrio. A Normal and Flying Type. It runs faster than it can fly."

Brock: "Professor, this is such a great place, the Pokemon must love it,"

(Brock says.)

Professor Oak: "I hope so, Brock. I designed this place so I could study Pokemon the proper way, in their natural habitat, living free. When the Pokemon live in an environment like the one they were born in, it's easier to observe how they're affected by their trainers. In fact, I just made an interesting discovery in that area,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "What was it?"

(Mew asks.)

Professor Oak: "Pokemon frequently take on the characteristics of the humans who capture them,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "Like Misty and Psyduck,"

(Mew replies with a smile.)

(Misty ends up getting embarrassed.)

Misty: "Ridiculous!"

Mew: "I don't mean it as a bad thing,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "You know what that means?! I think I might have a girlfriend!"

(Brock says, holding Vulpix.)

Brock: "Suzie loved her Vulpix and gave it to me, now if the Vulpix is like me, and she still loves it, that means she loves me,"

(Brock says, and his cheeks begin to blush.)

Misty: "He's on vacation in fantasy land,"

(Misty answers.)

(Mew and Tomo begin laughing with Pikachu, Eevee, and Meloetta.)

(Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice.)

Muk: "Muk, Muk Muk Muk!" (Hey, Professor!)

(The group turns their heads to see Muk rushing and gives Professor Oak a hug, knocking him down.)

(Professor Oak panics.)

Professor Oak: "Oh, Muk! How many times have I told you not to do that?! You're mucking up my favorite lab coat!"

(Then says.)

Professor Oak: "You see? I told you Pokemon gets attached to you, didn't I?"

(Then Muk proceeds to cover Professor Oak's face.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket is climbing on a rocky hill.)

(Jessie says.)

Jessie: "We'll have to do this the hard way."

Meowth: "The hard way's our specialty,"

(Meowth says.)

(James is in tears.)

James: "I can hardly stand this!"

Jessie: "Quiet whining and keep climbing or we'll never get that Pikachu!"

(Jessie yells.)

(Suddenly, she stops and turns her head to realize she puts her hand on that of a Geodude.)

(Geodude blushes a bit but Jessie throws it away.)

Jessie: "Go, Geodude!"

(Jessie shouts and places her hand on the rock.)

(She looks to see her hand is on a Sandshrews head.)

(It's not happy so it attacks her.)

Jessie: "Oh, my makeup is ruined!"

(Jessie cries out.)

(Suddenly, the ground begins to shake and some of the rocks begin to rise up.)

(To Team Rocket's surprise, they see an Onix.)

(Team Rocket screams and runs away.)

Team Rocket: "Run for it!"

(And Onix chases them.)

(Meanwhile, Mew and the others continue to look around at the Pokemon Habitats.)

(and Misty is happy to see the Water Pokemon Habitats.)

Misty: "Oh, wow! Look at all the water Pokemon!"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Professor, I bet you have every kind of Pokemon in the world, don't you?"

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "Definitely not, Mew,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "We believe there are lots of Pokemon that no one has ever captured or even seen,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "Yeah. Yeah, some people used to say long ago that there are only 150 Pokemon, but more Pokemon are being discovered from other Regions, including Togepi and Meloetta."

(That's when Mew remembers.)

Mew: "Yeah, come to think of it, the day I left Pallet, I saw a Pokemon that even Dexter didn't know about."

Professor Oak: "It's still a great mystery. No one knows how many kinds of Pokemon there are in this world. Finding new and different Pokemon is a never ending quest,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "You know, Professor, I'm gonna find as many new Pokemon friends as I can,"

(Mew says.)

Gary: "Me, too! And I'm gonna train them to be as strong as they can be!"

(Gary says.)

(Soon, Mew and Gary look at each other.)

Brock: "They really love Pokemon,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "Then maybe they can like each other,"

(Misty says.)

(Hearing that statement actually makes Gary and Mew blush a bit.)

(Then Gary turns to Mew.)

Gary: "Come on, Mew! What do you say we have a Pokemon battle? All three of us could use a little practice before the Pokemon League."

Mew: "Alright, Gary. I'm ready when you are!"

(Mew says.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee!" (Count me in!)

(Eevee says.)

Pikachu: "Pika!" (Me, three!)

(Pikachu says.)

(Suddenly, they hear an explosion and turn their heads to see that it's coming from a distance.)

Misty: "Hey, what's that?!"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "It sounds like trouble,"

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "That smoke's coming from the electric Pokemon preserve! Let's go!"

(Professor Oak says.)

(In the preserve, the source of the explosions are Voltorb and Electrode.)

(and Team Rocket slowly comes out of the hole that they made.)

Jessie: "That smoke gets in your eyes,"

(Jessie says.)

(James cries out.)

James: "Show me the way to go home. I'm tired and I want to go to bed!"

Meowth: "Well, alright!"

(Meowth whines.)

(Suddenly Mew's voice calls out.)

Mew: "Hey!"

(Team Rocket turns their heads to see Mew and the others approaching.)

Mew: "I should've known it was you!"

(Mew says.)

Pikachu and Eevee: "Pi Pikachu! Eev Eevee!" (Team Rocket!)

(Pikachu and Eevee angrily says.)

(Then Mew demands.)

Mew: "What are you three up to this time?!"

(Then Team Rocket jumps out of the hole to confront Mew and her friends.)

Jessie: "Take a guess!"

(Jessie says.)

James: "We followed you here so we could grab that Pikachu!"

(James adds.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "We're through pussyfooting around, so hand over that little rat and make it snappy!"

(Seeing Meowth talking has caught Professor Oak and Meowth by surprise.)

Gary: "It's a talking Meowth?!"

(Gary exclaims.)

Professor Oak: "Could you possibly say a few more words, please?"

(Professor Oak asks, astonished.)

Meowth: "I'd be glad to, pops! Clean out your ears and get a load of this! May I invite you to prepare.."

(Meowth says.)

(Then Team Rocket prepares the motto.)

Jessie and James: For trouble.

(Then Meowth gets between them as he says.)

Meowth: "Yeah! And while you're at it, you better make it a triple!"

(As Jessie and James try to do the motto.)

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all peoples within our nation!

(Then Jessie and James slam Meowth on the ground and attack him.)

(and continue to perform their motto.)

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie.

James: James.

Meowth: Meowth!

(With that, Jessie and James continue to beat Meowth to the ground.)

(Jessie angrily says.)

Jessie: "You stay out of this, Meowth!"

James: "Stop stealing our material!"

(James scolds.)

(Meowth whines in defeat.)

Meowth: "Alright. Alright."

(Everyone simply watches as the event takes place.)

(Then Team Rocket continues the motto.)

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight for that Pikachu!

(And Meowth recovers.)

Meowth: Meowth! That's right!

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Now hand over that Pikachu and every other Pokemon you got stashed here, or we'll just take em!"

Jessie and James: "Right!"

(Jessie and James add.?

(Mew and the others are not having it.)

Mew: "You're not taking anything!"

(Mew says.)

Gary: "If you want these Pokemon so badly, try and get em,"

(Gary says.)

(Then brings out his Pokeball.)

Gary: "Let's battle!"

(Before the trainers and Team Rocket have the chance to release their Pokemon.)

(A powerful Shadow Ball comes out of nowhere and attacks Team Rocket.)

(Soon, they are sent flying.)

(Jessie cries out.)

Jessie: "Why can't good things happen to bad people!"

James: "Who knows,"

(James says.)

Meowth: "Well, at least we didn't get fired,"

(Meowth points out.)

(They sigh and says.)

Team Rocket: "But we're blasting off again!"

(Misty waves goodbye.)

Misty: "Have a nice flight!"

Togepi: "Toge Togeprrrrrriiii!" (Have a nice flight!)

(Togepi happily says.)

Tomo: "See you next time!"

(Tomo calls out.)

Brock: "Those guys sure know how to make an exit,"

(Brock says.)

Mew: "Yeah, but where did that Shadow Ball come from?"

(Mew asks.)

(Suddenly, a Pokemon comes up to them.)

(The group turns and are surprised to see the Pokemon.)

(The Pokemon is a slender, purple feline Pokémon speckled with yellow rosettes.)

(It has a pink 'mask' marking over its eyes, a pink nose, and small yellow markings over its green eyes.)

(It has two pairs of long yellow whiskers and a tufted yellow underside.)

(Its lower legs are yellow, and each small paw has a pale pink pad.)

(and has a long, curving tail with a sickle-like shape toward the tip.)

Misty: "What's that Pokemon?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "Let's see,"

(Mew says, and takes out her Pokedex.)

Dexter: "Liepard, the Cruel Pokemon. A Dark Type. Their beautiful form comes from the muscles they have developed. They run silently in the night."

Misty: "It really does have nice fur,"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "And it's pretty big,"

(Brock says.)

(Just then, Liepard walks over to Mew and rubs its head against Mew's leg with a smile.)

(Then looks at Mew with a calm smile.)

(Gary and Mew look at each other.)

Gary: "Do you think?"

(Gary asks.)

Mew: "I think it is…"

(Mew says.)

(Mew looks at Liepard again, and has a mental image of a Pokemon similar.)

(but a different form appears in her mind.)

Mew: "Purrloin?"

(Mew asks.)

(Liepard smiles and growls in reply.)

Mew: "It is you. My, you sure have grown since I last saw you,"

(Mew says.)

(Liepard purrs and growls in it's language.)

Mew: "I get it. Liepard said that she wanted to get stronger, so she went off by herself and started training. When she heard I was coming back from my journey, she decided to see me,"

(Mew translates.)

Misty: "That's very sweet of her,"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "Yeah,"

(Brock says.)

Gary: "I'm gonna head on home now,"

(Gary says.)

(Mew turns to Gary with a confused look.)

Mew: "I thought we were gonna.."

Gary: "This has been a long day, and besides, we can have our battle when we get to the Pokemon League,"

(Gary says.)

(Mew smiles and says with a grin.)

Mew: "You're on! You can lose to me at the Pokemon League."

Gary: "You just better make sure you train as hard as I do. See you in two months, guys!"

(Gary says, and walks away.)

(Later on, Mew and her friends are looking over the pasture.)

(where some Pokemon are grazing, running around, or replacing.)

Mew: "In two months, we'll be competing in the Pokemon League, right Pikachu, Eevee,"

(Mew says.)

(Pikachu and Eevee nod their heads in reply.)

Misty: "Two months seems like forever,"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "Yeah, but she'll have a lot of work to do,"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "A lot of work,"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "We'll be ready,"

(Mew says.)

Eevee: "Eevee," (We sure will.)

(Eevee says.)

Pikachu: "Pikachu," (We'll be ready.)

(Pikachu says.)

(Liepard answers with a growl.)

Liepard: "Liepard" (So will I.)

(Mew turns to Liepard and asks.)

Mew: "Really?"

Liepard: "Liepard" (Yeah. I want to join your team too,)

(Liepard growls.)

(Mew smiles and says.)

Mew: "Of course, Liepard. We'll be glad to have you on the team."

(Mew then takes out her Pokeball and taps it on Liepard's forehead.)

(Then she does inside the Pokeball.)

(With a few shakes and a click, Liepard has become part of Mew's team. )

(It's time for Mew and all her Pokemon to begin training for the Pokemon League and aim to win it.)
