Death Comes Next

"I have to tell you, Priest, I am not a fan of all this waiting around." The Rein looked down into his glass of fermented juice as he swirled it around. The two of them were alone in the Rein's private sitting quarters, trying to figure out their next move.

The male honestly hadn't expected the female to disappear like she had; otherwise, he would not have let her run.

However, she was nothing more than a weak female, so it wasn't like she had anything special to offer that would make him second-guess his decision.

He really thought that his males would have captured her in a matter of chwila. He had been looking forward to hearing her scream as the males ripped her apart, both inside and out.

And yet, it has been an entire solar rotation, and… nothing.

The males were still out in the woods searching, but the longer it went on, the less likely they were to find her.

And the fact that for a moment, it went dark…
