A skyscraper, hundreds of meters tall, has become Su Chen's current residence. According to Utopia, this is the palace of the Supreme.

**Buzz!!**

From Su Chen's hand emerged several ring-like objects.

**"What is this..."**

In the vast, elegant hall, the White Queen Emma was slightly surprised but still caught the flying rings.

**"Sling Rings, magical items. The sorcerers of Kamar-Taj use them to open portals, allowing them to travel freely around the world."**

**"This..."**

Emma's expression changed upon hearing this. Space abilities are extremely rare among mutants and their quality varies greatly. Sling Rings could achieve what many could not.

**"Let them continue to guard the sanctum. Ignore them. Select some young, clever mutants and send them there. They will become new apprentices of Kamar-Taj, learning the magical knowledge there."**

This was one of the conditions Su Chen set before sparing them. The three Sanctums that maintain the Earth's magical defenses are inviolable, but 'protection fees' must be paid. Mutant sorcerers are one option.

Su Chen's ambition to conquer the stars and the seas, and to expand his influence across the multiverse, required a stronger force under his command.

**"I need a larger scientific team,"** he demanded.

**"At least, according to Reed Richards' plan, the Cosmic Cube can be used as a massive wormhole device, allowing large armies to make interstellar jumps and wormhole travel."**

Su Chen had read a lot of Reed's research during this period. With his fully developed brain, he gained a new perspective. If the Cosmic Cube's development succeeded, the first target would be Asgard.

He was also very interested in Sentinel robots. If their attack directives were completely modified to target other races, they could become a formidable colonial army under his command.

Su Chen was eager to explore the universe.

**"Can I learn too?"** asked Mindy, Hit-Girl, who also hoped to learn. As a firearms and assassination expert, she felt increasingly useless in a world full of mutants.

**"Of course, you can learn with Susan,"** Su Chen agreed. The two girls, close in age, had gotten along well.

**"Can I throw away my textbooks then?"** Susan asked eagerly.

**"No,"** Su Chen said sternly. He wanted his sister to grow up well, ensuring she didn't develop bad habits during her rebellious phase.

**"Aww, but that means I won't have time to play if I have to study both magic and schoolwork!"** Susan complained.

**"Learning more won't hurt you,"** Su Chen gently patted her head. Despite his indulgence, he was firm about her education.

Emma, the White Queen, watched this scene with a gentle smile. This warm family scene was something she longed for, having lost her family's love early on.

In contrast to his cold and aloof demeanor when conquering the world, Su Chen was gentle and approachable with his sister, though his solitude revealed a resolute and stern figure.

Emma felt a pang of bitterness, knowing the world's cruelty had shaped Su Chen.

## Same Night, West Coast

Unlike the warm family scene, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s underground base was somber.

**"Today, two more bases were discovered and taken over by mutants. More secret bases are likely to fall tomorrow,"** Director Hill said helplessly.

**"How's the Sentinel production going?"**

**"Mass production has started. Dr. Bolivar and Trask Industries guarantee that they can eliminate 99% of mutants worldwide."**

**"Good."**

Hill felt a bit reassured. They had no idea their greatest ally had just entered the solar system from outer space.

Captain Marvel had arrived, the last hope Nick Fury pinned before his death.

Quickly, a golden figure shot through the vast space towards Earth.

## Captain Marvel Arrives

In Nick Fury's view, she was the strongest woman on Earth. Even S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most senior agents couldn't access her files. Only Agent Coulson had some knowledge of her.

**"Swoosh!!"**

In an instant, she pierced through the atmosphere, sensing the pager's signal, and flew towards the west coast.

After over twenty years, Captain Marvel Carol Danvers returned to her home planet. After dealing with the Kree invasion in the last century, she had left Earth to be a cosmic savior.

**"What trouble has Fury gotten into now?"** she wondered.

Her golden eyes scanned Earth, capturing scenes from various cities. Surprised, she found no significant problems – no alien invasion, no world war.

**"Damn it, Fury better not be wasting my time."**

She had specifically instructed Fury to use the pager only in a global crisis. As the strongest, capable of absorbing and controlling any form of cosmic energy, she remained unaware of the drastic changes in Earth's timeline.

Soon, she noticed a city shrouded in white mist.

**"They're killing mutants again, run!"**

**"This white mist is toxic, everyone move!"**

As the mist spread, mutants who inhaled it collapsed, clutching their hearts as the toxins ravaged their organs. They couldn't use their powers and quickly fell.

**"What's happening?"**

Captain Marvel dived towards the city with millions of inhabitants.

**"Help me..."**

A mutant girl reached out to the glowing figure, but the toxins had already claimed her life.

**"Damn it,"** Carol tried to heal her with gentle energy, but it was too late.

**"This is a massacre!"**

Furious, Captain Marvel saw countless figures collapsing in her perception. Yet, many humans remained unaffected.

**"They're mutants, good riddance!"**

**"No, this indiscriminate killing is too horrible!"**

**"We're fine; this must be a new anti-mutant gas."**

**"No, my daughter is human, someone save her!"**

Amidst the chaos, some supported the mutant killings, while others were horrified. The massacre was too terrible, angering even some humans who saw their loved ones fall.

This day marked the emergence of the Inhumans. The Terrigen Mist spread through the city, unlike mutants who awaken over time; Inhumans needed this catalyst to trigger their genes and awaken abilities.

Under the brutal mist, some people were encased in a cocoon-like carbonized shell, which would soon reveal their new Inhuman form.

**"Scan their genetic structure..."**

Coincidentally, Captain Marvel witnessed this transformation, scanning the carbonized figures and making a shocking discovery.

**"Scans show similarities to Kree genetic fragments."**

Impossible! The results shocked Carol. She couldn't believe her past enemies, the Kree, had genetic imprints in humans.

**"Further analysis confirms the mist matches a Kree bio-tech."**

Captain Marvel's worldview was shaken. Kree had visited Earth long ago, combining their genes with humans to create bioweapons.

**"The Kree Empire's plan runs deep."**

She concluded Fury called for help after discovering the Kree's hidden hand. Convinced by her analysis, she believed Fury recognized the Kree's threat and sent the distress signal.
