"The process is necessary," Jingqiu said softly, trying to diminish the tension.

"Quick, come inside first, I'll help you apply some medicine," she urged.

"No need, I'm afraid that once I step inside, Uncle Lu will discover me and I'll end up getting beaten again," he declined her offer.

"He won't do it again," she assured him.

Jiang Nanzhou looked at Jingqiu shielding him and felt a surge of joy, "I just came to see you." Having said that, he took out a rabbit fur from his backpack, "This is a rabbit I caught in my spare time. I kept the pelt. That rabbit was quite large, with clean, white fur. It would make for really warm gloves in the winter."

As Jingqiu touched the soft rabbit fur in her hand, she felt moved, "It's so soft, I really like it."

Not daring to stay long, Jiang Nanzhou looked around and said, "Are you free this Sunday? Let's go watch a movie."

After pondering for a moment, Jingqiu replied, "I'm free in the evening."
