Ch 24: Pewter City

A/N: Dear reader's for the next couple of days or weeks depends on how much time it was needed to fixed the problem that was happening in our country. The next morning. Mike get out of the Pokecenter as he was staying for the night. Today he was going to visit the city and experience what can be found.

He alone with Sylveon start to explore the city a bit. They go around the city to look for what to do.

When Mike was leaving for todays exploration of the city, he heard from the trainers, that was also come out form the Pokecenter, discussing some things.

He listen on their conversation, there seem to be a small Pokémon training faculty. Oh yeah young trainers go there to train.

When Mike heard this, he was also excited, to check it out. This will be his first normal trainer on trainer Pokemon battle.

He didn't consider those crashing battle as regular battle. He also get some tips on interesting place that was in Pewter City.

He decided to go every place he can. Before he has too go to visit the Flint family for the dinner.

Mike then come in front of the, small Pokemon training faculty.

He walk into the building with Sylveon by his side. It looks far more than what he was expecting.

At the front there are many shops, and the place looked very neat and organized.

They sold Pokemon food, PokeBall, potions, and many other things.

There was also a small restaurant in the building.

Mike noticed many people and Pokemon going around, walking or sitting at table enjoying food.

In here he seems to have to get sign up, before using the faculty. So, he first reaching the reception area. There he was greeted by a blonde haired lady.

"Hello, this is Pokemon training and battling center. So how may I help you?" She said with a professional smile, while locking eyes with Mike.

"I would like to sign up for the Pokémon training and battling here." Mike replied.

She took out a sheet of paper from under her desk and said." Please sign those papers, and there will be 1000 Pokedollars per month."

'1000 Pokedollars per month, there was also monthly subscription payment method here. Huh!' Mike though, he didn't have money issues so he also signed up, to see what kind of training there are.

He paid the fee and signed of with his name and trainer legal information.

"Here is your card, it will expire next month, please buy another membership card next month if needed, have a great time here," The blonde haired lady said with a bright smile.

Mike kept the card which has his name and picture on it before asking." Where is the Pokemon battling area exactly."

He didn't seems to find anything suitable for Pokemon battle here. Specially there are many people here. Some were also eating around.

He also wants to take a test of the things that was sold in the restaurant.

"Ah, my apologies, just take the door to my left and you should see the battle rings, just hop in a open ring and set the Rank of your Pokemon. The available trainer will come toward you if they want. You can also look around other rings to see if you want to battle them, with there set condition." The lady explained it very enthusiasticly.

"Thank you," Mike said as he continue what he was going to do.

First he visits the shop to buy some PokeBalls, and to check on the poke food they have.

Then Mike visit the restaurant that was here to test the food.

Then after that he come in front of the door. Opening the door, Mike was immediately greeted by many Pokemon battle fields.

This place is equipped with everything, even technological device that can check Pokemon Ranks.

Walking around the area, Mike spotted many battles, most trainer look around his age. Some look older by a year or two.

Most likely also get there license, or has already been.

"Hey."

Mike heard a feminine voice calling out, he looks to find a short hair girl with a Eevee by her side.

"Would you like to have a Pokemon battle, it's my first time here," She said with a awkward smile.

"Well what a coincidence, it was my first time here too." Mike said with a smile as he looking at her.

She was a little bit short compared to him, she seems to be around 162/164 cm tall, she had a above average look with a very energetic personality.

He was about 180 cm tall by the way.By the way 12 year here was 24 in his previous world if calculate in time only. So 12 year can't be called kids. So that's why he was this tall despite being only 12 year old.

"My name is Stephanie, what about you?" She asked him while they were on the way to a empty field.

"My name is Mike Wood, you can call me Mike," Mike replied.

"Are you also start your journey this year." Mike decided to ask as they were already talking.

"Yes, I'm also going to get my first Gym challenge in a few days. Although its my first time here, but I feel like I am already stronger enough. My Eevee already close to Rank up soon. Only need a little push before she could evolves. This is also why I am here today." She said as they have already reach a empty field.

Stephanie also noticed Sylveon that was following Mike. She know that was a very rare Eeevolution.

The requirement for them to evolve into Sylveon was to learning a fairy type move, as well have too have high friendship.

"So which direction do you choose for your Eevee to evolve?" Mike asked as he was a little curious.

"I want to be a water specialist, so I want to have a Vaporeon. My family has a water type Pokemon house in Vermilion city. My father is a Pokemon ranger in sea division. I also want to become a sea ranger like my father." Stephanie said as she has a small smile on her face when she said her dream.

Pokemon house is also can be call Pokemon breeding house. The difference between them is the Pokemon house also sell material for there type of Pokemon they specialize in.

"Oh! Then do your family shop has any Excellent quality Water stone in store?" Mike asked hoping to get the stone needed for Poliwhirl.

If he could get any then he doesn't have too go to Cerulean city. But the response disappoint him as she said." Not sure if there was any extra. The last one is for me to evolve Eevee with. So I don't think that we have any."

"Well that is to be expected. Excellent quality stone are very hard to find normally." Mike said and then he get ready to start the match.

Mike then said." Although you probably want to have your Eevee fight. I should told you in advance that my Pokemons are already at Rare Rank. So you have to be prepared in advance."

Hearing what Mike said, Stephanie become surprised. They already started at the same year, but the difference between them seems to be very big.

Although she heard from her parents that there are many talented trainer around, but to encounter one this early give her more pressure.

She was already very happy with her progress, by having a Peak Uncommon Rank Pokemon. Now seeing there are people who are same as her already have Rare Rank Pokémon, it seems she has to train more harder.

Well the match went as Mike expected, not very exciting. He was able to win without a problem. He also have Sylveon go easy on Stephanie. Stephanie use 2 more Pokemon both were Uncommon Rank. Mike can tell she was one of the great trainer in this year.

Having 2 Pokemon in Uncommon and one of them even was a Peak Rank. Her two Pokemon were Dewgong and Seadra. Both were pretty good. He know she should be able to get past Flints Gym with much of a problem.

Her being inexperienced was a small problem, as she couldn't give order in time.

After the match Mike give her some advice of what to do to make improvement. He told her to be more focus in a fight, and don't get overwhelmed with thinking what to do next. He told her to be clam in a fight. So to not get distracted in a battle.

"Thanks for your advice. I will surely defeat you next time." Stephanie said after there battle, then she went to find more battle to make herself become more familiar with Pokemon battle.

"Then I will be waiting for your challenge." Mike Said with a smile, as having extra rival fell very cool.

Then he also get her number to get in touch. She also said that she will contact if her family find any other Excellent quality stone, she will tell him if she get any news about.

After that Mike also roams around the areas of other field quit a bit. But there was no other descent opponent. Stephanie was somewhat of a decent opponent he face in his age group.

Mike then come out form the faculty, after doing couple of fight. He then begin his tour around the city.

He visits the famous Museum that has some fossil in there. Those fossil can't be revive so they was put here to attract tourists.

He than have have lunch in a restaurant. This place was famous in the city.

After taking a break after eating, he again start to visit a new attraction place.

This was rock climbing, there was many visitors around here. He also found many people going around this place.

Some are climbing various Rock that was place in pretty challenging position. He also try some, although not very familiar with it first. He slowly adopt in time.

He also visit some sites. He also visit a place where a stone that looks like a meteor was placed. It was to tell about meteor that fall over the Mt. Moon mountain.

Mike seeing all that he can in the city, get ready to visit the Gym again. He was invited by Flint to get there to have a dinner, So he was getting ready to go there.
