Chapter 32: Maximum Verbal Artillery

Mark knew that given the current circumstances, the man outside was likely there to take his life. No matter how much he begged or groveled, that person would not allow him to continue living.

So, his only choice was to fight desperately.

Deciding on this, Mark used eye signals to instruct his subordinates to counterattack desperately, hoping to perhaps save themselves while the Dandongniuo family members had not yet left.

Mark's subordinates, fully aware of the situation and their own extensive criminal activities over the years, knew well that the chance of the killer outside sparing them was virtually non-existent. Desperate like cornered dogs, they clenched their handguns, resolved to fight to the death.

As the four men of the Dandongniuo family were relieved at the response from outside, thinking they had narrowly escaped death, the remaining six members of the Albanian trafficking ring had quietly communicated with each other and formed a half-circle around the four who were moving towards the door, intending to surrender and save their lives.

Castle, who was aware of the situation inside the room through the sniper outside, snorted disdainfully. These scum actually thought they could trick him? Waiting in ambush? They were courting death!

"People of the Dandongniuo family, drop your guns immediately, retreat with your hands raised, and back out. Otherwise, I'll attack indiscriminately! I'm here for Mark; I don't want to hurt you unintentionally! Nor do I plan to be enemies with your family!!!"

Castle commanded loudly in French, hoping that his tactic of sowing discord could lead to infighting among the two groups inside the room. If they turned on each other, it would make his job easier. After all, he didn't care about taking prisoners at this point; knowing that the mastermind was from the Dandongniuo family was convenient enough. A single phone call could reveal so much information.

Indeed, the Dandongniuo family members were not fools. They realized their own dogs were slowly encircling them. The leader of the Dandongniuo family burst out angrily, "Mark, you bastard, what are you trying to do? Do you see us as enemies now? You actually plan to encircle us? And you hide behind us, planning to counterattack when that man comes in, using us as shields? What am I to you? Cannon fodder?"

"QNMD, yes, I plan to encircle you. So what? You were the first to abandon us and surrender alone! Don't forget, how many of the girls we kidnapped were for your benefit? How many did you take away? Now it's clear that the person outside is here for revenge; aren't you afraid he might just blow you away too?"

Faced with a life-or-death situation, Mark displayed his verbal skills at 120%, trying to pull the Dandongniuo family members back to his side.

"Shut your mouth! You're just a dog of our Dandongniuo family. I've heard what the person outside said, and I don't believe he will easily become an enemy of our family. I warn you, don't try to play tricks on me!"

Seeing his former benefactor ready to discard him like an old rag, Mark was filled with rage and malicious courage. He waved his hand, ready to take down the traitors with his men.

The four Dandongniuo family members, from the moment they realized Mark intended to use them as shields, had been on alert.

The four huddled together, and upon seeing the murderous look in Mark's eyes, knowing that the dog was about to bite back, they raised their handguns, which they had been holding all along, and shot without hesitation.

With each group harboring their own schemes, a deadly battle broke out between the six traffickers and the four family members in a room of about fifty square meters.

Black Fox's sniper, watching from outside, was dumbfounded.

The employer who hired their squad was not only skilled but also had MAX level verbal artillery. Where did this godlike figure come from?

"Sir, we have successfully rescued the two targets, but..."

Black Fox, who went to rescue Kem and Amanda, reported that they had successfully secured the two women, but he hesitated in his communication.

"What is it?" Castle, delighted to hear that Kem and Amanda had been rescued, asked cheerfully.

"Sir, we've discovered that the number of girls kidnapped by these scum on the third floor far exceeds our initial estimates.

We initially focused only on the number of traffickers, and they had kept the kidnapped girls one in each room on the third floor, so we didn't realize there were so many during our initial surveillance.

We estimate there are about twenty kidnapped girls on the third floor!

But, we only have seven combat-ready personnel, and only three vehicles. We can't take everyone at once!"

Black Fox, though a mercenary accustomed to the harshness of battle, still retained a basic sense of humanity. Seeing the terrible state of the kidnapped girls, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of compassion.

Hearing Black Fox's report, Castle chuckled. It seemed he had indeed found some 'humans' for this job, and he could now trust them even more to safely deliver Kem and Amanda to the U.S. Embassy in Paris.

What he had to do next wasn't something he wanted them to see.

However, there was still a question he needed to address for the apparently conscientious mercenary leader.

"Black Fox, we don't have the capability to rescue all the girls, but once we've taken out all the scum in this building, won't the girls be safe? Besides, with so many people killed, it's not easy to clean up this mess. We have to make a quick retreat before the police arrive, so shouldn't we leave some heroics for the Paris police to handle? What do you think?"

Black Fox was completely stunned by his employer's shameless rhetoric.

What light retreat? Leaving the heroics to the Paris police? Was he just looking to save his own two girls and not worry about the rest? And not even covering the cleanup costs? Now he understood why they say the richer you are, the stingier!

The Paris police were also incredibly incompetent. The fight had been raging for over five minutes, and they still hadn't arrived. Could you believe it? Paris truly was a great place for committing atrocities!

"Alright, sir, we'll proceed with evacuating these two girls first. Just to confirm, we're following your original plan of taking them to the U.S. Embassy in Paris, right?"

Despite his internal complaints, Black Fox professionally confirmed the final orders after accepting the explanation from his employer.

"Yes, once you've delivered them to the U.S. Embassy, consider the mission perfectly completed! As for your squad's payment and the Rage Lion coins, I've left them in the trunk of the Citroën I drove here. Remember to take them when you evacuate!"

Castle was quite satisfied with Black Fox's service. The battle inside the building between the Dandongniuo family and the Albanian traffickers was still unresolved, giving him time to settle accounts.

"Sir, what payment? We don't need it, your mission was assigned to our squad directly through the highest channels at the Continental Hotel, and the Paris Continental will handle our payment! Didn't you know that?"

Black Fox was annoyed with himself for having just internally criticized this generous employer, who apparently had prepared a 'tip' for his squad.

"Ah? What do you mean?"

Castle was baffled by this unexpected piece of information.

Meanwhile, at Saint Mary's Hospital in New York, Brian Mills, who had just been in a car accident resulting in three broken ribs and was initially unconscious, had just been revived by emergency doctors. There was no way he could physically intervene now.

Enduring his impatience while listening to his ex-wife tearfully explain that a mysterious person claiming to be his friend had assured her he would soon go to Paris to rescue their daughter, Brian darkened his expression and asked his ex-wife to hand him his phone. He dialed a number deeply embedded in his memory.

"Boss, it's me, Brian Mills... Yes, I need to ask for your help... It's about my daughter...

Thank you, boss!!"

After hanging up, Brian's gaze turned profound as he stared at the ceiling...
