"Mr. President, are you serious?" Gao Yang burst out.

He quickly apologized, 'I'm sorry, it was a slip of the tongue,' noticing his stern gaze.

"Please, Gao Yang, I will feel at peace if you accompany her home," Xin Yan pleaded.

"Alright, Mr. President," he acknowledged without hesitation as he left the car.

Li Qiang raised an eyebrow, surprised that he acknowledged merely due to Xin Yan's pleas. He couldn't deny it; as petty as it seemed, he felt deeply jealous.

Xin Yan's gaze lingered, eyes crinkling as she remarked, "I know what you're up to."

"I'm not up to anything," he shrugged helplessly.

He informed the chauffeur, 'To the old residence, please.' The chauffeur nodded and quickly exited the parking lot.

Chen Wenling gently rubbed her arms. She could sense the change in the weather. Her eyes widened as Gao Yang came into view.

"Gao Yang?" With uncertainty in her voice, she called out.
