As Mary drifted off to sleep, having quickly succumbed to relaxation in Liam's embrace, he remained wide awake and could feel the effects of the dual cultivation.

'My mana has increased significantly during this cultivation session... Could it be because of our enhanced strength, or perhaps because my Spirit prowess has developed?'

As he looked up at the plain white ceiling of his room, several questions popped into his curious mind.

'In the past, I didn't really perceive significant changes in my growth after making breakthroughs. However, this time around, I have managed to progress by two levels, and they are notably more substantial levels, especially considering my standing in the second realm. Perhaps I failed to notice this previously because I engage in cultivation more frequently and thus experience slower growth.'
