Such a chubby bunny

Today Rachel is getting discharged and because coincidentally I have a leave today, I thought of dropping them at their house. That's the reason why I'm driving today. I don't know why I'm doing this but being with them is always fun for me.

When I reached the hospital room, I found their bags all packed up. They are ready to leave. Bella practically stayed here this week, so she brought all their necessities. When Rachel saw me she run to me and hug my legs.

Rachel: Hi Mr. Handsome.

Lucas: Hi cutie! Are you leaving right now?

I asked Bella who was busy finding something.

Bella: Yes, the discharge procedure is also completed.

Lucas: Great. Then let me drop you to your house.

Bella: Oh...it's fine. I'm just booking a cab.

Straight up rejected. Great Lucas.

Just then Rachel tugged at my jacket and looked up from there. I felt a arrow shot through my heart.... because of her cuteness. Such a chubby bunny.

Rachel: Mr. Handsome, Thank you for visiting me daily here.

She moved from my side and walked over to Bella and grabbed her hand.

Rachel: Mumma can we invite Mr. Handsome for dinner tonight?

I saw Bella hesitating before she answered.

Bella: Sure baby...we can treat him to dinner for his help. But he might not be free tonig...

Lucas: I'm free.

I cut her sentence in between. Shit! Did I sounded too desperate? Bella widened her eyes slightly which told me I did. I coughed to clear the awkward atmosphere.

Lucas: What I meant is today is my leave...so I'm ready.

Bella: But I'm not.

She shut her mouth when she realised what she said. Why do she needs to be ready?

Bella: I mean...the food maybe not be up to your liking. I will try to learn something expensive for you and then I will invite you.

Lucas: When did I refuse to eat what you will cook? And I don't mind the prize, as long as the food is delicious.

Rachel: Mumma makes really delicious food.

Lucas: Is that so? Then I will come today only and eat that tasty food. So it's fine with me whatever you will serve. Who refuses a free meal anyways?

Rachel: So it's final...You are coming today for dinner.

Bella stand up rolling her eyes. Bella's thoughts, great the plans for dinner was being discussed without even involving the chef herself.

Bella: Fine but the food will be simple.

Lucas: It's okay with me as long as you won't give me cup noodles. So...we are going in the same place anyways, then let's go together.

She nodded and I turned to face Rachel.

Lucas: Baby you are still weak. Come on let me carry you.

She opened her arms wanting to get carried. I quickly took her in my arms and made her sit on one of them. With my free hand I carried the big bag.

Lucas: Let's go.
