The nigh was overturned by a lovelorn drama and every person was left in shocked by Kannavis's declaration. Rumors spreaded that because of Cercis's negligence towards his fiancée, she broke down in the middle of the party, witnessing her prince dancing with another woman and canceled their engagement. Although, there was another story saying that on the very last summer, Kannavis founded a new lover and left the prince heart broken for whoever, but all of this talks somehow would always end up involving the commoner in it. Was she the caused of all of this?
Miss Kannavis declared her annulment and dragged me by the hand out of the ballroom's. I was appalled by the event. My first thought was that Cercis would be the one to end things, never would I have imagined that she would be the one to do it. I remember prince Cercis saying he was going to annul his engagement with miss Kannavis. I was absolutely stoked, if he did do it, then Miss Kannavis will become available again. Now, things have took a bit of a detour, but it's progressing great, though I'm sure there might be some consequences for my Miss..
"Miss Kannavis… are you alright?" I asked. She dragged me to a corner, far away from the party. Miss Kannavis was sitting on a wicker in the greenhouse, owned by the Marigold's Dormitory. She layed her face on her knees, and I could hear whimpering and sniffling under her breath.
Miss.. it must have been a difficult decision for her to make… seeing how she has always followed and devoted herself to prince Cercis.. it must have been painful to let him go…. That's what I initially thought ..Huh?
"….hehe.."
Wait, is she laughing? I slowly reached out to her, then she lifted her head up and started giggling.
"Heh.. huawahahA! Irene! Was my deliver on point?!" Kannavis said as she looked at me. Her eyes were still soaked from tears, but her face was drawn over joy. She still sounded a bit out of it, but it was real. Wait.. was she really upset about this whole thing.. did she plan this?
Kannavis sighed and wiped her tears away- "Ahh.. seriously.. I thought I would have throw it away… but my tears suddenly started to come out. I think they really sell it! *hiccup" she said as she gazed up the stars.
It couldn't possibly be… I thought that little missy wouldn't have the courage to pull that. But right now… she really has changed. Before I could say anything, she continued-
"Ahh.. the stars are beautiful, aren't they… I really wanted to grab a hold of one." Kannavis said. She strands up and all of a sudden I felt a ominous presence. This feeling again?! I can't help but quickly turned to look at miss Kannavis.. wha?!
All of a sudden, there was huge pair of featherless wings, flopped out behind her back, and unfold like a spread sheet. An Angel.. no more like a fallen.. a magnificent being was infront of me…in the green garden and the blue illuminating onto us, a fallen Angel was about to ascend back into the sky… wait she's going to fly out?!
"Miss Kannavis!" I yelled and ran to grabbed her as she instantly soared into the sky at an astonishing speed that I almost fall out trying to hold on.
"Oh Shoots.." I screamed at the top of my lungs as we were in mid-air, high above the clouds, and I could see the whole land scape of the Helio city, stretching into other provinces. The city's red lights contrasting the blue night sky was truly a sight for sore eyes.
I was holding onto the end of Kannavis's dress while she was flapping her wings. Her face looked like she was in a dazed, her golden eyes's drooping and thin- slit pupil dilating. Now I wonder, is this a trait of the Corvus? That they can turn into half-beast? I've seen her do this a few times now, but I've never heard of this…
*Rips..*
All of sudden, I heard a piece of cloth tearing… wait- I immediately changed my gaze below and looked at my hand that was gripping at her dress. I was hanging by a thread of silhouette… oh no I'm going to fa-
*SNAP!*
Before I could react to anything, I was falling backward, head first into the ground . The dress snapped out of my hand and I was spinning around like a wheel in the air.
"C-CRAP!!" I shouted. My ear drums exploded and the earth's gravity was crushing my body as I plunged down at an alarming speed. Damn it! I don't have any protection spells for this! And there isn't seemed to be any body of water I can fall by!… at this rate, I'm definitely going to crack my head open.
I've always dreamt of flying and floating in the air, just like a bird, unchained by any element of the world. To be able to dive in, gushing through the wind, and to not fear the death of falling. Right, if only I was a bird- I thought at that moment.
I've entered the earth's atmosphere, I was losing consciousness from the stress and the lack of oxygen around me. My visions were also decreasing and I was barely breathing but in my blurry sights, I saw two shooting stars, slowing passing through the stratosphere… what an impeccable sight… in the moment, I remember grandma's words saying I should make a wish when this happen…
I closed my eyes and thought for a moment. Yeah.. I definitely wished for that.
*Whoosh!*
When I opened back my eyes, a bright star falls from the sky, and head straight in my direction. At that moment, the fallen star reached its hand out and grabbed a hold of me before I hit the lands. Afterwards, we shifted back up, and the star that was carrying me made a childish giggled.
"… I told you to not let go, didn't I?" Kannavis said as she formed a drunken smile on her face. Woah…Miss Kannavis.. she looked…enchanting .. I thought my heart skipped a beat right there.. (it did, because of the shock)
We barely dodged the ground and ascended back up. Miss Kannavis has regained back a bit of her consciousness and we flew towards the dormitory… or so I thought.
The target was definitely the dorm, but as we got closer and closer… I think we were heading straight for the wall?!
Damn it! How could I get relaxed now!? I wasn't able to do much because of the shocked earlier.. At this rate we're gonna crashed in!
"Miss Kannavis!" I yelled at her as she came back to her sense a bit and shift her angle, directing into the window of her room.
*CRASH!!, Bang!!*
"Ugh…" I said weakly. We landed in straight through her room, and smashing in her cabinet's mirror.
"Cough cough Ke ke…" Kannavis lightly chuckled as she rolled away from holding me. Earlier, before we crashed in, Kannavis wrapped her dragon-like wings around me, preventing us from suffering any heavy injuries.
Glasses were shattered everywhere across the room and my whole body ached from the impact, whereas miss Kannavis, she strands up and walks around the room like nothing happened. As I layed on the floor, staring upside down as a tail with viper like blade, unfolded and flopped out under her dress… huh, am I hallucinating? Maybe that fall really stirred my brain up…
I watched as miss Kannavis strolled around, examining her own room, readjusting her furnitures, sniffing around while her large reptile tail, pushing down the decors, scratching her floor and couches.
Why is she licking the counter?- I thought to myself.
She went around in a circular motion, then to the end of my foot. She creeped down on four limbs and started to crawled towards me, shifting her beast-like wings back into her back, leaving only the tail, waddling around.
*Sniff, Sniff*
Miss Kannavis sat on top of my abodomen, then lifted my hand up and started to smell it. Her pupils dilated after a swift, she continued to snivel my body, moving up my forelimb and onto my neck. In that instant, I felt a cold slimy splotch on my neck.
"..Miss Kannavis?" I said as I gazed from the corner of my eyes to look at her as she sniffed my neck, her saliva's drooping on it, like she wants to take a chunk out of it.
Before I could do anything, she pecked my neck and my face becomes instantly red from the warmth of her lips. Following the smooch, she slowly lowered her jaw, pressing her tongue against my skin, exposing her teeth and set of fangs, sinking them down my vein and it sent a shriveled of pain to my head.
*Ack!*
I yelped a bit in suprised, but my sudden work up voice jolted her back away from my neck. I placed my hand, trying to feel my neck. There were some deep punctures wounds from the bite marks and slightly leaked out a red liquid?
Kannavis; on the other hand, seemed to look anxious as I bled. She backed off of my stomach to lay between my legs, tears started to drip out of her dilated eyes while she's shifting her gaze around nervously as if feeling guilty of her actions.
Even though I got bit in the neck, and was bleeding, it was not a worry to me. What was worrying me was that Kannavis would feel bad for her instinct, so I sat up, leaning to hold her shaking body in my arms.
"It's fine, miss Kannavis. I am alright. Don't be scared." I said as I hugged her while patting her back.
"I-Irene…" Kannavis muttered. Her tense body soon relaxed into my hand, her fingers, running through my hair and onto my back, her tail wrapping around my leg, ultimately laying herself onto me.
At that moment, I thought, no matter how much this woman hurts me or pushes me away, I couldn't let her go, and I know deep down, she also doesn't want me to let go.
