Chapter 8

 Liam got to his office, he started with his work. There was a knock on the door.

 "Yes?", he said.

 One of his men came in handing a letter to him. "Here sir, the letter is meant for you"

 "Okay, drop it on the desk", he replied.

 "Yes sir", the man said and walked out of the office.

 Liam continued with this work for a while, till he got a text on his phone from an anonymous number saying, "If you wouldn't let me have Aurora, no one will, not even you."

 Out of curiosity, Liam opened up the letter and saw that it was another letter from Lucas. "He needs to be taught a lesson", Liam said to himself.

 He picked up his car keys and went home to check on Aurora. He drove home and found the building silent.

 "Aurora, Aurora!!", he shouted, frantically searching for her.

 She wasn't in the living room. He went to the kitchen, his room and finally her room. He found her asleep listening to music. He rubbed her cheeks and went out to meet his men.

 "Don't let Aurora leave the house without security. And check on her from time to time whenever I'm not home", he said as he left his house to his in-laws house.

 He went there and told them all about how Lucas has been a threat to Aurora.

 "I'm sure you are there to protect her", Mr Peterson said.

"Yes sir", he replied.

They talked to and fro for a while.

Night fell, and Liam went back home. He didn't tell Aurora about the threats, to prevent her from being scared. He acted all normal, and she didn't know anything till Liam went to shower and found Aurora reading some letters, shaking.

"What are you reading?", Liam asked curiously as he walked down the stairs.

"Just...some...letters", she said trembling. "I...I...I don't know what I did to Lu...Lucas", she said, stammering.

"He sent me a letter and a text. But don't worry I've alerted your dad and don't leave the house without your phone and the bodyguards. He won't hurt you, I promise", Liam said, assuring her. "Go to bed it is late"

She nodded as she walks up the stairs. He alerted his men about the threats coming from Lucas. He told them to keep an eye on Aurora and Lucas' location, and to tell him about any strange movement.

The next morning, Aurora had gotten up, she had an outing with Iris, but was scared to go out because of Lucas' threats.

"You are not going out with Iris anymore??", Liam asked curiously.

"No", she replied.

"She canceled it??", he asked.

"No, I feel like going anymore", she answered.

"Are you scared of Lucas??? Don't worry, nothing will happen to you nor Iris. I'll send my men to go with you"

She was relieved after hearing these words.

"You should turn on your location and alert me of anything looking suspicious. Alright??", Liam asked

"Yes", she answered, nodding.
