Grammy

Arriving at it, Ace went straight to the room to store his most recent purchase, obviously he wouldn't be walking around with it, it definitely wasn't the best choice, much less a good choice. However, it was very important to have one for any possible setbacks.

It was around 3:00 p.m. and he had nothing else to do, taking advantage of the fact that he wouldn't be able to meet his friends for a while, he went out with Jaime and Jessie to eat a burger. In the evening he spent some time with his mother and went to bed early, wanting to look his best for tomorrow.

On Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. Ace was ready, he woke up early, did some exercises and took the opportunity to go for a run. Now, he was sitting at the table eating breakfast. Ace knew that the clothes he would wear would be chosen by the marketing team, so he just wore basic clothes that he had in his wardrobe, not that he had much choice in clothes, since he came to this body he hadn't been able to buy clothes nor had money for that. So he only wore the basic clothes that the old Arthur had in his wardrobe.

It didn't take long for José to arrive and the two drove through the streets of NY.

" Hey Ace, today you will do a photo shoot and have an interview on the biggest radio in NY with Beyoncé. You already know but I'll repeat, this is an extremely important moment for your career, until now you've only had space to talk on niche radio, for a singer just starting out, this is already great, but now we are faced with a much better opportunity."

"Yes, yes José. Relax, I'll do well. I was born for this, man."

"Sometimes I really believe that. You're going to take a trip to Los Angeles too, with Beyoncé. You're going to do some more interviews there too."

"Hey, that's good, you should have mentioned that before José. Los Angeles here I come hahaha."

"There's just one more little detail too, but I was thinking about not mentioning it because it's not very important. You'll be Beyoncé's date at the Grammys on Sunday in 4 days."

"Fuck José, stop playing with me. I'm going to the fucking Grammys, damn it!"

"Yes, but only as companions. Next year if you keep working hard we will go as official guests."

"Yes, yes. I need to get a decent outfit at least expensive."

"Relax, today we're going to stop by an Italian tailor shop that I know with great suits, we're going to pick out a nice one for you. The best part is that Columbia is paying for your suit. Now changing the subject a little Ace, I'm going to give the people at Jive, let's wait for this Grammy period to pass for you to sign the contract with them."

"Right after the Grammys we can sign the contract, that would be ideal. I need to get back to recording music soon man."

The two continued talking about Ace's future plans and career, until they finally arrived at a photography studio.

The duo entered and quickly recognized one of Beyoncé's team members. Who led Ace to the stylists who would apply light makeup to him and dress him. José was taken to the photography set.

Because it was just a photo shoot so the marketing team had some material to work with, the two wore the same clothes they wore in the clip. Ace put on light makeup and was taken to the set to take photos. When he arrived, he found Beyoncé already taking photos.

With his arrival the session was interrupted and she came towards him, greeting him with a hug.

"Hey Ace, how are you?"

"Ah, nothing big, you know, just another day after another. Now on Sunday I'm going to accompany a beautiful girl to the Grammys, another one who fell in love with me. I don't know if you know her, someone called Beyoncé, you know, they say that she insisted that I accompany her. But how are you?

"No big deal either, I'm giving a young man a chance to accompany me to the Grammys, he's handsome and talented."

She then got a little closer to him and said softly.

"But it's very new."

After the last fight in Columbia between Beyoncé and Jay Z, she made a call to him almost immediately and ended everything with him, there on the phone. He didn't have the best of reactions, but he also didn't have much he could do to change that and he preferred to momentarily accept defeat to let her cool down, because in his thoughts he thought this was just a phase and would pass.

So currently Beyoncé was officially single and apparently that was doing her a lot of good, her behavior around Ace indicated that she was much more comfortable now, plus she was exuding a glow now.

Obviously, Jay Z still saw Ace as the main culprit in all of this and definitely didn't have a good opinion of him and would somehow try to cause more trouble soon because of this.

When Ace was about to answer her, their conversation was interrupted by the call from work, the two spent a few seconds staring at each other, before starting the photo shoot.

They started the rehearsal, but there was tension in the air spread throughout the room. Even more so since the theme of the song was a love that was driving the other crazy and the photographs needed to show exactly that to the public.

That's exactly the problem, that's what was really happening to them, so it was very easy to make the photos show that, but the tension between them spread throughout the room.

In the end, when the photography session was finally over, they both went to change back into their previous clothes, preparing for the interview they had later today.

They were in the same car talking to each other, about different topics, from some celebrity gossip to the recent protests against the invasion of Iraq.
