Emily had never liked Derek's uncle. That much was an open secret. Back when she had been at Haven Group. She had not bothered to hide it, simply sticking to being professional, because she had not wanted to lose her job. But even then, her dislike for him, had never wavered. 

They were oil and water. Two people who would never ever get along, no matter the situation.

All of that dislike for the simple reason that Sebastian Haven was a leech. Emily hated bloodsucking parasites with a passion. Be it the real ones. Or the ones like Sebastian, who seemed to take the fact that they sucked the life and joy out of everything as a compliment. In fact, her hate for him had not been because of just his soul sucking tendencies. Many things about Sebastian Haven had bothered her. Chief among them had been him viewing her as nothing more than an object.

Then there was also the fact that he had never even bothered to learn her name.
