Chapter 20. Solving a Mother's Plight, Again
The Tree of Knowledge is burning. Some archeologists are frantically rushing about with buckets of water, struggling to extinguish the roaring flames, while others dart into the smoke-filled library, hastily salvaging armfuls of ancient, fragile books.
As I drop to the ground, retracting my wings, I summon ten clones in an instant. Without a word, we dash into the burning Tree. Once, the lack of wands would have rendered my clones powerless, but now that I've mastered wandless magic, each clone is a force to be reckoned with.
It takes nearly half an hour to put out the fire, and by then, thousands of books have been lost to the flames, their knowledge consumed, never to be recovered.
After the Tree is saved, I dismiss my clones and step outside to face the morose crowd.
They stand a short distance from the Tree, gazing up at it with forlorn expressions. While the Tree itself has survived, the first five floors of its bark have been scorched and turned ashen. It's a miracle the bark hasn't peeled away to expose the interior.
In the centre of the group, Professor Clover murmurs instructions as archeologists cluster around him. Robin stands beside him, holding the hand of a beautiful white-haired woman, her expression sorrowful. Behind them looms a giant, towering awkwardly among them. I blink, taken aback by his immense height. I knew there was a giant on the island, but hearing is one thing and seeing is another. He must be at least 20 metres tall, his head nearly level with the sixth floor of the Tree.
This must be Saul, the giant Iris talked about.
I use [See] on him.

I'd be shocked by his level if I hadn't already expected it. People here are generally stronger than those on Earth. Even the most ordinary people have levels in the 30s. They're physiologically tougher, probably due to this world's environment. But that's all. They lack magic or any supernatural abilities, aside from the rare Devil Fruit users.
That's why I attacked that fire bloke earlier, despite his overwhelming power. He was level 328, but I knew he relied solely on his Devil Fruit ability. Of course, I might have been wrong, but that's the advantage of having 102 lives. I can afford to be wrong.
As I arrive, their conversation halts. Professor Clover steps forward and bows deeply. "I can never repay this debt, young Harry. Thank you for protecting Ohara. Without you, we all would've died."
"It was the right thing to do, Professor. My sister would've had my head if I let anything happen to this library." I smile, and the archeologists behind him relax for the first time after seeing me massacre the World Government agents.
"It's not the end," the beautiful white-haired woman interjects, her tone concerned. "The Marines will be back with their most powerful men. They won't rest until they've made an example of us."

This is Robin's mother? She's quite a looker, with her buxom, toned figure and long white hair. She's wearing a fur-lined coat over a light blue t-shirt and long green trousers. If the circumstances were different, I might've tried to seduce her. But not only am I on a date with Iris, Ohara is on the verge of annihilation. I doubt she's in the mood for good old sex.
I raise my eyebrows as everyone looks at me expectantly, as if waiting for me to lead. This won't do. I'm not here to wage war against the World Government on their behalf. I'm not the hero type. Not only that, I'm planning to get back home in a couple of days; I can't let them depend on me too much.
"Just a reminder, I'm a traveller. While I'm happy to protect you until I have to return, I do have to return. I suggest you start planning how you want to proceed."
Their faces fell at my words. Were they really expecting me to abandon everything and join their fight?
"Indeed." Professor Clover sits down on the grass, under the Tree of Knowledge's shade, prompting the other archeologists to follow suit, forming a circle so everyone can face each other. "Harry is right. He just arrived the day before yesterday. Dumping all this on him, especially when he knows nothing about our mission, would be grossly selfish. Now, let's look at our options."
I stand outside their circle, observing as he lays out their choices. The others propose various paths forward, but the most realistic one seems to be abandoning Ohara. However, the sticking point in that scenario is the precious books. Moving hundreds of thousands of books would be both difficult and time-consuming. And time is one thing they don't have. Yet, none of them argue to leave the books behind.
Like a student in a class, I raise my hand.
With a nod from Professor Clover, I say, "Don't worry about that. I can shrink all the books and store them in a single pouch. Worry about your lives."
They stare at me in awe and start murmuring eagerly, deciding that abandoning the island is really the best option.
I do feel unhappy that they would need to leave the five-thousand-year-old Tree of Knowledge behind, but that's the price they must pay for their safety. A Fidelius Charm would come in handy here. With it, I could make Ohara a secret and force the entire world to forget about its location and existence. Unfortunately, the Hogwarts library didn't have a step-by-step tutorial for that charm. It only provided the surface level information. So I don't know how to cast it. I'll need to ask Mum to teach me that once I return. I remember her mentioning in passing that she can use it.
As they all slip inside the Tree to pack their things, Professor Clover asks me to gather all the books.
"Thank you again, Harry. I wish we had more time so I could write a book about your people and their culture. Perhaps another day." He walks past me, giving my shoulder a squeeze.
The archeologists hurry down to the basement while I head for the top floor. It's more efficient to clear the library from the top down, rather than starting from the ground floor.
Instead of climbing the entire thirty storeys—yes, the Tree of Knowledge is that tall—I simply apparate. As with every floor, this one is lined with nearly a hundred shelves. Though there aren't any desks or chairs. Understandable. Most of the top floors are just for storage.
Pulling out a spare bottomless mokeskin pouch, I walk between the shelves, and books fly out of their places, shrinking as they drop into the pouch. It's a tedious task, but one I don't mind. It would truly be a tragedy if such an extensive library were destroyed because some corrupt government gets hysterical over a few harmless archeologists. A part of me wants to copy each book for my own library at the Evans Mansion. But neither is my library this large, nor are these books particularly useful to me. The Tree of Knowledge has always been a hub for history and culture, so all the books focus on those topics. While reading that can be interesting, I have better things to do than study the history of a world I might not even return to.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind helping these people fight against the tyrannical World Government. But doing so would require me to actively participate and stay here, and I'm reluctant to commit without knowing how long it might take. I need to finish my time at Hogwarts before diving into a years-long war in another world.
My plans remain the same: finish my 6th year this year, take the NEWTs with Rose, and then start world-hopping while letting time pass normally in my own world. This way, I won't experience the disorienting effect of spending a week in another world while no time passes at home. A week is even easily manageable. But what about spending months or years in another world, only to return home and find that no time has passed, as if I paused a movie and resumed it after watching another? I don't like it. It feels unsettling. In that scenario, either I won't see my family and friends grow, or I'll have to avoid world-hopping to ensure time flows normally in my home world.
I'm glad I have the freedom to choose whether time stops when I use a portal.
Upon completing the top floor, I go down to the 29th floor, repeating the same task again.
My desire to adventure through more worlds and gain more power has only increased after today's quest. I gained multiple levels in a snap. Just like that.

Level: 147
Points: 0
Perks: 8
[Vault] (Stores system given items)
[Shield] (Protects mind and soul)
[Binder] (Prevents other party from breaking their promises)

[Anomaly] (Makes it normal for girls to share you)
[God of Big Things] (Allows you to grant wishes every month)
[Wings of Angel] (Grants you white, angelic wings)
[Weapon Master] (Grants you mastery over every weapon)
Three levels might not seem much, but I gained them by doing a single quest that lasted only minutes. It is a big thing.
Hmm, let me see if any of these perks can do more for these people.
Now that I think about it, I can wait for my [God of Big Things] to come out of its cooldown and allow Professor Clover to ask for some overpowered wish; but no, that's not viable. I don't want to waste that much time here.
What about my skills? Can any of them prove useful in this scenario?
I go back to Menu and click on 'Skills'.
[See] (Allows you to see others' stats)
[Touch] (Makes your touch pleasurable)
[Orgasm Control] (Grants complete control over your partner's and your own orgasms)
[Heal] (Allows you to heal anyone)

[Parallel Twin] (Allows you to create clones)

[Blessing of Incineration] (Grants you access to undying fire)
[Masseur] (Makes you a professional masseur)
[Cock Editor] (Grants complete control over your cock's appearance)
Nope. The only mildly helpful thing seems to be my [Faceless Man] skill. It is a perfect tool if I wanted to do some infiltration mission and destroy the World Government from within. But once again the issue is time. I don't want to commit to it when it might take months or years. At least now that I have used the [Enhancer Gem] on [Heal] skill, I can provide the archeologists with Cure-All potions for emergencies.
[Heal]
— Allows the user to heal any wounds or sickness. Of course, you can't heal the dead into living. That's necromancy, chump. Note: Now, you can even bless water and turn it into a Cure-All potion. It will be just as effective as if you were healing directly.
Yes, instead of upgrading my [Unrelenting Force] skill, I chose this option—and there's a reason for that. I plan to start selling these in the wizarding world. I'm confident that rich nobles would empty their coffers to cure the incurable. It's the quickest path to getting filthy rich. Now that the mongrel can't afford to give me 100,000 galleons a month, I'll have to rely on this to keep my wealth growing steadily.
I shake my head and focus on the present. My future plans can wait; right now, I should be looking for a way to offer these archeologists more help. However, it seems my skills aren't any more useful than my perks. That leaves only my items.
'Vault.'

[Bra of Comfort] (A magical bra)
[Wooden Stick] (An ordinary stick)
[Trash Bin] (An ordinary trash bin)

Miscellaneous*
[Minor Love Pass] (11) (Increases seduction by 20%)
[Major Love Pass] (5) (Increases seduction by 40%)
[Epic Love Pass] (1) (Increases seduction by 60%)
Now this is different. I already see many ways to help them. I could offer them the 'Cup of Need' and 'Cornucopia', ensuring they never have to worry about food or water again during their dangerous travels. But I won't do that. These items are far too valuable to give away to strangers. In fact, that's true for every one of my items. Even if they could be essential to them, I can't bring myself to part with them. I'm just not that selfless.
There's one more way to protect them, I guess. I could tell them that I'm from another world and offer to take them to a place where the Marines could never reach. But should I really do that?
No.
Aside from how foolish it is, they wouldn't agree to it either. I've seen their passion. They'd rather die than abandon their mission.
Sighing, and having finished with the 29th floor, I start walking towards the stairs. It looks like collecting all the books will take hours. Maybe I should summon my clones to get it done faster. Just as I am about to do that, I hear footsteps.
Robin's mother climbs the stairs and stops in front of me, standing between me and the stairway, breathing heavily and leaning against the wall. Climbing 29 floors must have taken a toll. I wonder what made her do that.
I do not utter a word and simply wait for her, letting her catch her breath. Her tan skin looks a shade darker due to the dim lighting on the upper floors, but that only elevates her beauty. The 'Cup of Need' appears in my hand, and I ask for cool, rejuvenating water. Then I extend it towards her.
She eyes the silver goblet with curiosity before taking it and drinking in one gulp.
"Thank you," she mumbles, wiping her mouth.
I take back the cup and store it away in my 'Vault'.
"Olvia? Right? Robin's mum?"
This is the first time I'm talking one-on-one with her.
"Yes. I wanted to personally thank you for what you did. You could've fled when the World Government came, but you chose to stay and fight. You are brave, Harry. And strong. The strongest man I've ever seen," she murmurs, stepping forward and clasping my shoulders.
She smells of sea breeze, and I notice she's an inch taller than me. Also, she called me a man, an odd phrasing considering everyone here seems to treat me as a young boy. I don't mind either way, unless 'boy' is used condescendingly.
"While I haven't spent much time on Ohara, I've made great acquaintances here. And Robin has even befriended my sister. I couldn't let the island be destroyed when I could do something about it." I'm unsure how to act around her. She is so close, just a step away from my personal space. But it doesn't seem like she's trying to start anything—she's just grateful. Not everything is about sex, I've to remind myself.
She squeezes my shoulders one last time before dropping her hands at her sides. "Then why don't you join us? With you on our side, no one can defeat us. With you, we can learn everything about the 'Void Century', about the world."
Ah, so that's their mission. The Void Century. An admirable one, and an obvious one in hindsight.
I lean back against the side of an empty shelf, crossing my arms. "I have other things to do, Olvia. You can't expect me to drop everything and join your fight. And haven't I already done enough?"
"You have. I'm sorry." She rubs her face in frustration, pacing before me. "I know it's selfish to drag you into our problems, but I had to try. I respect your decision. It's just…"
I wait for her to continue, but she stops pacing and falls silent, looking thoroughly depressed.
"What happened to you, anyway? From what I heard from Robin, you set out to sea on a mission." I try to restart the conversation.
"I was captured along with all my colleagues. They were executed by the Marines, and it was only thanks to Saul, who was a Vice Admiral, that I was able to escape and come here. But I was already too late to give a warning. The World Government had sent their agents—the ones you killed," she drones on monotonously, staring off into the distance.
I open my mouth to say something before snapping it close. It doesn't look like she wants to talk, but she isn't going away either.
How annoying.
"I have failed," she whispers. "Both as a mother and as a scholar. I was unable to be there for Robin, and I couldn't uncover the truth about the 'Void Century'. What was the meaning of my life? What did I even accomplish?"
I sigh, not really wanting to deal with this. "You are not dead yet. And how old are you anyway? 25? You have your entire life before you. You can still succeed as a mother and as a scholar."
"I'm 33." Her lips twitch, but this moment of levity doesn't last, and her face turns gloomy again. "You don't understand. The entire world has turned against us. We won't even last two months. We are already dead. And Robin, she h-ha—"
I turn my gaze away as tears spill down her cheeks and a hollow sob escapes her lips. She wipes it furiously and falls on her knees before me. She clutches my legs and looks up at me with the most wretched expression I've ever seen. "Please, Harry, join us. I'll do anything. I'll be your slave. Just protect us. Professor Clover won't force you, none of the others will. They will rather die than coerce you. But I don't have such moral strength. I'm a selfish woman who chose her career over her daughter. But I have to do one thing right. I can't let Robin die."
I grab her by the shoulders and heave her to her feet. "Stop it."
But she only cries, hanging against me like a dead weight. It irritates me how her blatant emotional manipulation is working. I'm not responsible for them. I'm not her husband, dammit. It shouldn't matter whether they live or die. They're just strangers. And yet, if I imagine her white hair as red and her brown eyes as green, my soul would be crushed by her misery. It would tear my heart open and butcher it into a million pieces.
Fuck, my soft spot for single mothers is getting exploited. Again.
"Fine, fine, just stop crying. I will protect you." I push her off me, holding her by the shoulders. If not for my grip, she would slide down back to her knees, like a formless sludge.
Strength returns to her body, and she finally stands. "You will join us?"
"No. But I will give you power to protect them. So that you don't have to kneel and beg ever again." I frown, ignoring her dubious look.
I have the [Transfer Contract] which allows me to take one of my skills and give it to someone else. But which skill should I give her? I won't even entertain the thought of giving away either [Unrelenting Force] or [Blessings of Incineration]. That only leaves [Bolt] as the remaining offensive skill. But it's not an ideal choice for her, since the power of each lightning strike depends on the user's strength. Unlike the other two offensive skills, this one doesn't rely on the system's power but on the user's own abilities. Olvia isn't strong—she's only level 42. It wouldn't do her any good if she came across someone more powerful.
Honestly, I don't have anything to give her.
No, I don't have anything to give her yet.
"You said you'd do anything to save Robin, right?" I ask, locking eyes with her, my tone heavy with meaning.
She nods stiffly. "Anything."
Still with my hands gripping her shoulders, I pull her closer. Close enough that our chests touch. Near enough that our breaths mingle.
She flinches, going rigid. Her eyes widen, and her lips part slightly as if preparing to offer a protest. But I squeeze her shoulders tightly and stare into her eyes. "Believe it or not, I get powers when I have sex with someone. The number of powers I get depends on how beautiful my partner is. You are S-tier; you'll give me ten new powers. And I'll give one of those powers to you once we are done. It's not a guarantee that I'll get good powers, but that's a gamble we have to take. Understood?"
She gapes at me, shock clear on her face "Yes."
"And you will never reveal this bit of information to anyone. You'd rather drown Robin in the sea before doing that. Do you agree to that?"
Anger clouds her as she fights to free herself. "What?"
"You will not reveal how my powers work in any way or form, you'd rather kill Robin before doing that. Do you agree to that?" I hiss, my fingers digging into her shoulders.
"Yes." She nods jerkily, realising how important this is.
I feel my [Binder] perk take that as an agreement.
"Good. Let's do this." I wrap my arms around her thin waist.
She freezes when I mash my mouth over hers, but only for a moment. Then her own arms snake around my neck. Then her own lips respond to my kiss.
This is objectively the best pair of lips I have ever kissed. She is an S-tier beauty. Her pink lips are full and plump, and so velvety. My own tingles as our mouths rub and glide against one another, as I trap her bottom lip and suck on it.
I breathe in her salty scent and drink in her hot breath. My hands paw over her body, slithering down her back, cupping and squeezing her voluptuous rump. Though there are too many layers of clothes between us. Wanting to remedy that, I pull back and tug at her fur-lined long coat.
Her laboured breaths catch in her throat as she shrugs it, letting me take it off her body. Dropping the coat, I grab the hem of her blue t-shirt that doesn't even reach her navel. I kiss her neck as I peel it up. She moans and raises her arms, letting me remove it. Now she stands in just a bra and green trousers. Her ample breasts are large and deliciously round. These are the tits of an S-tier beauty. And I can believe it.
With a touch, I turn her around and unclasp the delicate lace of her bra, letting it fall to the ground. Closing my eyes, I press my body against hers and nuzzle into the soft skin of her neck. She releases a pleasured sigh, which only fuels my desire as I cup her bare breasts in my hands. The weight of them feels like heaven in my palms, firm and perky despite their size. As I explore every curve and dip with my fingers, she grinds her arse against me, igniting a fire that burns hotter with each passing moment. Her breathing gets more strained as I continue to fondle her chest, savouring the sounds of her arousal and the way her body responds to my touch.
I unlatch my lips from the warm, sun-kissed skin of her neck and whirl her around, pressing her against an empty shelf. I smash my mouth over hers, our tongues tangling in a passionate dance. Her fingers rake through my hair while mine fumble with the buckle of her belt. As it finally gives way, I wrench down her green trousers, revealing smooth, toned legs beneath. She responds eagerly, snogging me back with fervent desire. The air around us is thick with heat and the salty taste of her on my lips.
She steps out of her trousers and kicks them away, while busy wrestling my tongue with hers. Her knickers are simply torn off her body as my patience runs out.
I grab her arse cheeks and give them a rough squeeze. I heave her up in my arms and slam her against the shelf. She cries out as the wood digs into her back. I swallow her cry and suck on the tip of her tongue. With her arms and legs around my body, she tightens her hold like a vice.
The lack of air makes us recoil. Our exhales warm each others' faces. And our burning eyes match.
"For Robin," she says hoarsely and pushes me away.
I let her do so.
She turns around and bends forward, placing her palms against the shelf, bracing herself.
Her long white hair runs down her back, a sharp contrast to her tan skin, and her curvaceous arse is thrown towards me. I can even see the hints of her large breasts hanging temptingly.
Taking off my clothes hurriedly, I step forward. She trembles as my pulsing cock pokes her butt. She shivers as I seize her waist. And then she gasps as I drive in with a single thrust. Her hot, slippery insides clench around my girth. A spot inside snugly kisses my glans, nearly making me come. But I use my skill and lock away our orgasms. Then I pull halfway out and slam back in.
Plap!
She whimpers, the shelf before us shaking. My hands leave her waist and slide up her smooth stomach as I pull halfway out again. I take hold of her gigantic breasts just as I ram back in.
Plap!
I activate my [Touch] and my newly gained [Masseur] skill as I pull halfway out again.
And that's too much for her. As I massage her breasts and rub my thumbs over her nipples, she screams and shoves her arse back against my crotch.
Plap!
Then I pull halfway out again and begin thrusting with abandon.
Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap!
I hammer away while abusing her heavy tits. And she meets each of my thrust with her own. Her white hair bounces before my eyes, and my grunts are matched by her long-drawn out moans.
Suddenly, the creaking shelf before us tips over and crashes into the one in front of it. Like dominoes, every single shelf in our line falls over one after another. But we do not stop. Olvia bends down further to grab the lip of a fallen shelf while I pound away, bending along with her, keeping my chest firmly pressed against her back, groping the swell of her breasts, shaping my body against her like a water in a container.
PLAP! PLAP! PLAP! PLAP! PLAP! PLAP!
As the minutes turn into more minutes, as the slap of our flesh turns louder and more bestial, I use my skill and make us finish together.
She keens and jerks in my arms. Her entire body convulses as she wets my drilling cock, her inner walls constricting and relaxing like a beating heart. I grunt in her neck and bite her skin as my throbbing member fills her up with shots upon shots of semen. I ground my crotch against her bubbly arse and squeeze out every last drop, remaining inside her until I soften.
Then I pull it out and stumble back, falling on my butt.
I pant as Olvia slowly turns around and sits on her cloth pile. Her tan breasts rise and fall as air whistles through her nose and mouth. And white semen trickles out along her thighs, dripping under her, making a mess.
"Come here," I order, my voice gruff.
She gets on all fours and crawls towards me. Before I can say anything, she takes me in her mouth. I run my fingers through her hair and yank on it, making her lock eyes with me as she lathers my cock languidly.
There's no need for this. Our task is done. I have gained ten points. But that doesn't mean I won't take full advantage here. I keep eye contact as she bobs her head and blows me. Her skill is rusty, but she makes up for it with her S-tier beauty.
It takes nearly an hour for me to satisfy myself.
~xXxXx~
Skill Obtained: [Last Moments] (Rarity: Uncommon)
— Grants the user a brief reprieve before death. The world stops for 2 seconds when you're about to die, allowing you to either find a way out or make peace with your fate. Note: You can move when the world stops.
Another way to cheat death. I'll never say no to that.
Presently, I'm still on the 29th floor of the Tree. We just stopped fucking few minutes ago, and we are back in our clothes. Olvia is sitting cross-legged before me, looking at me expectantly.
Ignoring her presence, I continue rolling the Gacha Wheel.
Item Obtained: [Grimoire of Fire] (Rarity: Rare)
— A magical book with all sorts of spells related to fire. It can be learnt by anyone who claims this grimoire.
Interesting, but I already have the best fire spell. This might be one item I'm able to part with.
Item Obtained: [Piss Filter] (Rarity: Trash)
— A bucket that can turn piss into drinkable water by 99.99%.
…
No.
Skill Obtained: [Ethereal] (Rarity: Rare)
— Grants the user the ability to turn intangible. You are untouchable in this state, no type of attack will hurt you, but you cannot attack in any way either.
A solid defence skill. Good.
Item Obtained: [Steel Sword] (Rarity: Common)
— A simple steel sword. Stick them with the pointy end, chump.
I resist a sigh and continue rolling.
Item Obtained: [Pistol] (Rarity: Common)
— An enchanted antique single-shot pistol. It has unlimited ammunition.
This is way better than the sword. And with my [Weapon Master] perk, I already know how to use it.
Perk Obtained: [Sunshine Man] (Rarity: Trash)
— Allows the user to stop the rain for 5 minutes once a year.
…
…
This could've been such a mighty perk if not for the limit. No wonder it's in the Trash tier.
Item Obtained: [Amulet of Hermes] (Rarity: Rare)
— An enchanted amulet that allows the user to teleport to any location within their line of sight or to any place they have previously visited. Note: The user can also teleport anyone willing within a 5 metre radius.
A pretty useful thing. Though not as exciting for someone like me who can already apparate.
Next.
Item Obtained: [Magical Dildo] (Rarity: Trash)
— A magical dildo that can change sizes and mimic a real cock.
I facepalm, not bothering to feel embarrassed as Olvia quirks her eyebrows.
This is the second day in a row where I got a cock related thing from the gacha. Anyway, let's see what the last point gets me. I'm keeping my expectations low.
Item Obtained: [Compound V] (Rarity: Legendary)
— A chemical solution that will turn anyone into a superhero. This vial grants super strength, laser eyes, flying, and a nearly indestructible body. If you're thinking it sounds awfully similar to Superman, you're neither right nor wrong, chump.
…
…
Bloody hell! That will make anyone Superman.
"Are you done? Did you get anything good?" Olvia speaks up, cutting my celebration short, her voice full of anxiety.
I grin, rising to my feet. "Yes."
Her face lights up with hope and she takes my hands in hers. "Really? Did you get anything that will help me protect my people?"
Hmm, 'Amulet of Hermes' is a good gift. It will allow her to teleport herself and the others away whenever in danger. [Ethereal] can work too. But it's a defence skill I want, and I don't think it will help her in protecting Robin or the others. 'Grimoire of Fire' is another good item, but it will take her time to learn it.
I summon the amulet. It's a simple black string with a pendant. The pendant is the symbol Caduceus: a staff with two snakes wrapped around it.
"Turn around."
She does so, standing with her back to me. I gather her white hair over one shoulder and tie the amulet around her slender neck. "This is the Amulet of Hermes, a god of roads in my culture. With it, you can teleport to any location within your line of sight or to any place you've previously visited. Additionally, you can bring others with you, as long as they are willing and within a 5 metre radius."
"Really?" She looks sceptical.
"Why don't you give it a try? Teleport to that spot." I point to the corner.
She steps away from me and then, in an instant, simply fades—reappearing in the corner.
I can hear her loud gasp from here.
She reappears before me and pulls me in her arms, hugging me tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you…"
I smile as she keeps chanting that, and place my chin over her shoulder, coiling my arms around her narrow waist, revelling in her warmth and softness.
"I will be able to protect Robin with this. I'll always be indebted to you."
I feel a twinge of guilt for not giving her the best option. The amulet doesn't have any inherent offensive powers, and there are times when you don't want to simply teleport to safety. I can give her something better. I can give her invincibility. But I won't. I'm not that selfle—
"Here, drink this." I shove the vial of 'Compound V' in her hands.
"What will it do?" She frowns, taking it.
"It will give you the power to shoot lasers from your eyes. You'll be able to fly, possess super strength, and your body will become nearly indestructible. It will make you Superman." I stare at the vial, fighting against the urge to take it back.
She needs it more than me, and I can always get more powers. That's what I say to myself. And yet, I feel like the biggest fool for letting this chance slip through my fingers.
"Who is Superman?" She uncorks the stopper.
"A god in all but name."
She gapes at me and throws the content of the vial in her mouth. And then she screams as her body changes to accommodate her new powers.

The rest of the days are spent on a secluded island in the East Blue, a place Olvia found during her travels. It has become the secret hub for the archeologists to continue their research.
Iris was shocked when she found out what she missed. And I had rolled my eyes when she demanded we declare war against the World Government for daring to attack the Tree of knowledge.
On our last day, I gifted them 20 vials of water that were blessed with my [Heal] skill. I told them that it can turn a dying man healthy in an instant. All I can hope is that they won't need it. But even if a fight does take place, Olvia is there to protect them. Now that she is Superman and has the Amulet of Hermes, I'm sure she can handle whatever the World Government throws at her.
The only thing I regret is not getting to fuck her again. It's because Iris was with me all the time. And I'm not dumb enough to give attention to another woman when we are on a date.
Now as the portal opens, I let Iris tug me through it.
We are home.

Ten Years Later
Olvia flies over the Red line, lasering through the mountains, destroying the continent, merging the seas, killing the Celestial Dragons.
The time for change has come. She won't wait for some mythical Joy Boy. She will do it herself.
