Potential Fusion Power? Wireless Energy grid!

Waking the next morning me and my wives all got dressed, having several kisses and hugs in-between before we all set off for our jobs. My plan to remove their need to work was going to be implemented tomorrow, my main job getting electricity up and running. Today I would concentrate on Fusion power and the energy grid, having the enchanters focus more heavily on the household power implementation. My original idea was to have gems in each electrical service that received the power and distributed it based upon a built-in runic cap that would be imprinted on small cables on the inside of said technology.

Stepping out of my bedroom a flush of memories flooded into me, all of my shadow clones merging with me once again. Over night I had gained equivalent of 80% of my Cultivation requirement for the next minor stage. Besides cultivation my tactile knowledge in forging had reached journeyman levels, just below a master from Earth's future era; essentially a metallurgist. Several swords and spears had been made with alloys, numerous pipes and other metallic instruments being forged alongside the more martial objects. With a couple days more, my confidence would probably reach the level where I would begin to test enchantments.

Walking down the stairs my connection to my Planewalker spark flared ever brighter. My concepts had become more profound to me, consciousness mixing into these elements as if I were 'them'. It was surreal and felt more akin to becoming one with the very idea than mastering it. When I reached the bottom of my stairwell my consumption of every learning in these concepts completed. Nothing new was gained, but my control over them had increased minutely. Time would be required to fully attain complete dominion over these aspects of my Planewalker Spark.

"Honey, see yah later! Gotta go help some idiots fix the city I made!!!" She rushed over, kissed me on the lips deeply and then vanished right before me. Still stunned I heard the footsteps of Shuna approaching rapidly.

"Silvi!!! I have to go. I'll be back later this afternoon, please try not to push yourself..."

"Sure love, have a good day." Happy with my response she kissed me as well, cupping my ass before rushing out the front door at a steady pace. Her ass jiggled as she ran, so I wasn't as sad as I thought I would be from seeing her running away.

With those two away doing what they had to I had very little reason to stay at home. Thus, I teleported away to the Artisan District where Kaijin and the rest of the guilds were ready for me to be greeting them. The roads were cleared, revealing the awesome display of complex furnaces, looms, tanning stations and various other professional tools and spaces. Besides this display there was also several hundred burly looking men staring at me from the Smithing Guild's central building, Kaijin, his brothers and their men standing there gawking at me.

"Silviana!" Kaijin stepped forwards, waiting for me to do the same; which I did, before wrapping me in a hug that could be described as massive for a Dwarf. Patting him on the back a few times we broke the hug off and started to discuss the materials needed and the technology required. At this stage I wasn't willing to wait for Kaijin to learn all of the techniques himself, so, I cheated a bit. Voidfire Infinite Mind go 'BRRRRR'!

Half an hour later he was keeping up with me in pure metallurgic knowledge and was pumping out stable alloys made from steel and titanium. And, with this knowledge, came a massive shift in understanding for him as he could now see multiple different ways of combining materials he already knew to form completely new ones... Especially Magi-steel and other magical materials from Tensura originally. Luckily I was able to manipulate magic to still create resource trees, even if it was a bit more time intensive for me now due to the rules of this universe.

After our little session of Black Smithing I explained the idea I had for creating a Fusion Reactor. I used simple terms that would be understandable for his level of knowledge and simply requested for him to make a fuck ton of alloys for me. My Nth trees were already starting to produce, although they would take a while for any meaningful quantity to be produced, but they would be the means of success for the majority of the defensive shielding around the fusion reactor.

There were three main steps to stable fusion power... Number one: Reaching temperatures of over 100 million degrees Celsius... Number two: Achieve sufficient plasma particle density... AND... Number three: Maintaining confinement for a sufficient amount of time. These were the massive issues and if one couldn't be achieved then it would possibly fail in a big way. Most likely not in a catastrophic 'kill-the-world' type way, but just setting back our success for another period of time until we could get all three correct.

For the type of reactor i wanted to make I needed deuterium and tritium. These minerals would each need a tree for them to produce from. Intense pressure would be needed to ensure that these materials fused with one another to produce the energy we wanted. Plasma had a tendency to expand but this was solved with the inclusion of magic and also the gravitonic technology of Futuristic Earth. The temperatures needed would be complex to manifest, but given my power over molecular structure I could most likely spark the first fusion process by turning certain percentages of molecules into plasma that could theoretically increase to temperatures exceeding 100,000,000 degrees Celsius. I could then tie this process to a magical enchantment to keep the process stable and constantly shifting between fused and non-fused... Therefor creating a constant cyclical burst of energy from the materials fusing.

Anyway... After that I began to toy around with the material we had already worked with. Graphene was an awesome material and was super conductive, this was essential for our wireless grid. It could conduct electricity at massive speeds efficiently, could resist heats of a obscene range and was quite possibly superior to steel in every strength factor. Alongside this material though I used quartz and crystals of different types to make the receiving crystal for the energy. The power would collect in the crystal and transfer to the graphene... From there it would hit a smaller version of the central crystal that has an enchantment on it. That enchantment would correspond to a similar crystal on another 'beacon'; beacon being what I was going to call these nodes.

For several hours I worked away, first creating the trees for the tritium and deuterium. Once they were complete I sent clones off to plant them and grow them as quickly as possible. From there my work began on the beacons. Shaping graphene and this crystal material into a dodecahedron-like shape that the same size as half my body in height and half as wide as a Range Rover car. That was the first two hours... Now began to the process of enchanting which proceeded to consume six hours of my life.

Had I mentioned how much of a bitch this universe was for complexity in magical energy? Yes? All well, I am going to explain again, because fuck this shit...

In Tensura Magicules were more malleable, could be stuck to a function and simply adhere to it. It was like glue to an extent, except, it was only sticky when you wanted it to be and it listened to your instructions. Here though... Well... NAH! It is like super glue mixed with gorilla glue. You could get it stuck to things easily if you weren't paying attention. Rogue magical effects could rampage through delicate parts at random depending on if you used the right set of concepts at the right time. It was as if this whole world was a lot more chaotic and random than Tensura, something that was most likely apt to describe the entirety of DND.

The time consumed was a painful reminder of this change and awakened me to the idea of creating simple magical tools that could copy enchantments word for fucking word and concept by fucking concept so that this much effort could be reduced. But it was done, nonetheless. Before me sat a hovering beacon of glowing silver power that imbued the nature of Dunamancy and Technology together. Space was connected between other points via the small uplink crystal and therefor if there was any failure in the grid another beacon could take the place of that singular one. Essentially redundancy had been programmed into the base model of my beacons. New versions would eventually replace this one but this was still a great achievement.

"Silviana, it has been eight hours... Go home, your women are most likely home already..." I wiped my forehead as sweat glistened along my entire face. Not even arguing with him I stored my invention and patted his shoulder before taking off back home.

...

I had fucked up, supposedly.

You see, my wives were wanting to continue our binge of Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares but I had been late. Now, I was being given the silent treatment as we watched it. They didn't snuggle up to me and they in fact were cuddling into each other. It hurt, it really did, but I held my ground and remained stubborn. My work was for everyone including them and if they needed to be like this to show their discontent than I would let them simmer in it...

I wasn't the one that needed to grow up anymore. I'd been changing and growing for a long time now. I finally had stability and had healed myself back to full ability. The ball was in their park, I wasn't going to cave because they thought I forgot about them when I didn't. That mantra continued in my head for an hour or two as both of them shot me looks.

Milim was starting to fold and slowly get closer until Shuna pinched her shoulder and whispered over the bond. She stopped for a minute or two but immediately started to do the same, ignoring Shuna's pinching this time, and snuggling up against me.

"Please don't be mad at us... We, just feel lonely sometimes..." Tears formed in her eyes slightly as Shuna began tearing as well.

"I am not angry, I just don't understand why you are both so fragile that when I comeback a little late you get like this...???" Both of them shrunk a little, blushes covering their cheeks as they glanced at one another.

"W-well, we started to think... That you were bored with us... Because you got another woman... A-and we didn't have sex last night..."

Blankness. That is all that my mind could conjure at the moment as my dumbfoundedness was almost ballistic. 'How in the fuck did they come to that conclusion...??? She even spent time with them to confirm they were okay with it and everything...!??' It was clear I couldn't compute as well, Milim and Shuna staring at me with mild confusion themselves.

"I-Ah- um... W-what!?"

"I just proposed to you both yesterday!? Why would I propose if I didn't love you both!? IF you were boring!? I-I-i, just don't get it..." Milim stared at Shuna now, the pink-themed woman pulling her lips inside her mouth with her teeth as embarrassment and slight humiliation flushed through her.

"W-well... i didn't think of that..."

"Look, we didn't have sex last night because I was absolutely tired from healing myself and doing diplomatic bullshit. I spent 500 years in my own mind, essentially, trying to fix myself so I could support you both again... To be honest I was wanting to do it tonight... But, damn, I didn't know I was trusted so little to love you both..."

"Si-Silvi! That's not it! It wasn't that I didn't trust you...! It was just..."

"Insecurity? If that is what is resulting from all of our relationship, then, I don't know... What am I doing wrong...? I am supplying everything I can for you both... Is it not enough?"

Milim jumped me now, her eyes being only centimetres away from my own as her draconic nature began to ooze out of her.

"BOTH OF YOU ARE SMART BUT DUMB!"

"SHUNA! You worry too much!" Shuna retracted a bit and started to fully cry now. Milim turned to me next though.

"HONEY! You let us run over you too much! My soulmate is no bitch, she leads! So, either you lead, or I'll kill myself for having such a carpet of a soulmate!"

Immediately she stormed off, angry at both of us. Her wings manifested behind her form and she blasted out a window before teleporting away. Shuna was sobbing openly now, her hands shaking... She most likely felt responsible for all this, a truth to be honest, but I didn't like seeing her cry. This night was supposed to be happy but insecurities, jealousy, and my poor directional skills with relationships drove us to this...

I was willing to take some blame here... Milim was right, I let them always get what they want and never openly guided them in a direction for how to show their affections or how I would show mine. Apparently I was the captain but was doing a piss poor job of directing the ship. Now? Well, we had run into shallow waters and had started to take on some leaks. Not enough to sink us completely, but if not repaired, could lead to the end of our relationship... A gloomy perspective no doubt, but one that flashed through my mind several times...

'Fuck me having a relationship is hard...'

'Morgan, where are you when I need you for advice?'

I slumped back into the couch, reaching for Shuna and embracing her as tears laced into my dress depressingly. From tonight onwards I would give them so much affection and attention that they will be a constant part of my life. No more flying solo and I'd keep them in the loop of what I am doing.

No longer would they work for the Government, they'd be my women and can support me in my endeavours. It was time to grow up, 'man up', and take responsibility for my wives and our future. We would plan for our future together and would communicate from here on out! I was sick of being in the dumps like this with Shuna because she had self-confidence issues...

She would grow confident next to me, just like Milim, and just like my Raven Queen!
