Vlad and Ouroboros's eyes were sharp as they gazed from the cover of a forest at a powerful demonic horde ten thousand strong, with several Champions among its ranks. Behind the duo were the Royal Guards and the rest of the battalion, all having already assimilated their Devil Bloodlines, which greatly enhanced their physical might and energy pool.

After finishing his runes, Vlad allowed the entire battalion to rest for a few days, and only once they were at their peak did he bring them to this place. Their goal was to defeat this demonic horde that had taken control over a large portion of Knight City.

The battalion detected the horde's presence about a month ago, but they did not engage. Not only did the horde have powerful Champions, but even the common demonic beasts were more powerful than average, which made sense since no one weak could survive in Knight City. However, the true core of Ouroboros and the Royal Guards' apprehension was something else.
