Strange Asgard

The Queen Frigga was just as Caesar remembered her, with softly curled blond hair and a light blue dress reminiscent of Roman styles.

She always wore a warm, tolerant, and trusting smile.

Frigga stepped forward quickly, hugged Caesar tightly, and then said with a hint of excitement,

"Caesar, I knew you'd come back!"

"You've grown taller,"

"You've always been wise, even as a child,"

"You're sure to grow into a remarkable god,"

"I've always believed in that, my boy,"

"Now you've done it. You make me and your father proud!"

When Frigga mentioned Odin, Caesar's expression became slightly complicated.

Then he said,

"In the future, you'll be even prouder, because I will become stronger!"

"And about father? Would the great King of Gods be proud of an exile?"

"He's always been proud of you, and he will always be your father, no matter what!"

Frigga gave Caesar another warm embrace.

After a moment of silence, Caesar said,

"You will always be my mother!"

From the moment he was born, Frigga had always tenderly loved and embraced him.

Even though she knew Caesar was likely born with exceptional wisdom, none of that mattered.

In Frigga's eyes, Caesar would always be her beloved child, no matter what happened.

As for Odin, he was so consumed with battles that he rarely saw him.

There was no emotional connection between them.

Notably, Odin had once imprisoned his daughter, Hela, indefinitely for reasons unknown.

In a fit of anger, he could even banish his son Thor in the name of so-called peace.

Even if it might have been just a trial.

But in Odin's view, Asgard always came first.

Others?

Whether lover or child, all were expected to sacrifice for the sake of Asgard.

Odin might rule with authority, but when it comes to being a husband and father, he falls short.

Caesar has always seen through Odin's shortcomings and been dissatisfied with him.

After the tale was told, Frigga pulled Valina aside with a peculiar smile and struck up a conversation.

Frigga had the urge to lead Caesar and Valina into Odin's chambers.

Despite Caesar's presence, Odin's chambers were now secure.

Yet, Frigga still desired to linger by Odin's slumbering side, keeping watch over him.

Furthermore, even in his deep sleep, Odin remained aware of his surroundings.

Odin also wished to meet the present Caesar.

Renowned as the second most powerful being in the universe, Caesar ruled an immensely influential superpower.

Perhaps today's Caesar could bring substantial benefits to Asgard.

In Odin's view, Asgard's welfare outweighed his tenuous connection with Caesar.

However, Caesar declined Frigga's request; for the time being, he had no desire to encounter Odin.

Although Odin was in a deep slumber and unable to converse with Caesar, the latter still chose to avoid him.

Frigga remained silent, simply gazing at Caesar with her tender eyes.

Despite Caesar's formidable strength and authority, he found it somewhat challenging to resist Frigga's gentle gaze.

"It's really futile. Just go inside and see the current state of Odin!"

Caesar thought helplessly that rejecting Frigga was indeed difficult.

"My dear mother, who are they? Could you introduce me?"

Loki's sudden appearance successfully diverted Frigga's gentle yet compelling gaze.

The two strangers, escorted by Heimdall, proceeded straight to Odin's chambers.

As the current ruler of Asgard, Loki couldn't help but rush in.

Frigga warmly embraced Loki, then took his hand, gesturing towards Caesar and said,

"Loki, this guy here is Caesar, your brother along with Thor!"

"And that valkyrie, she's tight with your brother!"

"Caesar, Loki's your brother. Can you lend a hand here?"

Loki just stood there, not budging an inch.

You're giving me that look, doubtful?

His brother and the valkyrie popping up out of the blue left him speechless for the moment, as for Caesar's offer to pitch in, it lingered in the background.

Loki wasn't bothered just yet.

"What? He's my brother? And a valkyrie?"

"Wasn't the valkyrie supposed to be gone?"

Loki snapped out of his daze, eyed Caesar and Valina warily, pulled Frigga back a bit, and shot off a quick question.

If it weren't for Frigga, who had always been a powerful magic wielder, radiating immense spiritual energy.

He might've even suspected she was being manipulated.

Throughout all these years, he'd never heard a peep about having an older brother with Thor!

"Yeah, he's your brother alright. A lot went down back then, and we thought he was a goner..."

Frigga filled in the gaps, and Loki started to buy into her story, but wasn't too keen on Caesar's sudden entrance.

Actually, there was a hint of hostility!

They've never crossed paths, and there's no emotional connection whatsoever.

And in this super sensitive time.

With Odin out cold, Thor banished, and suddenly a brother pops up, accompanied by the legendary valkyrie.

Could he be gunning for the throne of Asgard?

As Loki mulled it over, he eyed Caesar and Valina with suspicion.

Caesar grinned knowingly, shooting Heimdall a curious glance.

"In Asgard, do they just ignore regular Joes? As the stand-in ruler, Loki doesn't even know me?"

"What's going on in Asgard anyway?"

The Cosmic Mercenary Union practically has its fingers in every corner of the universe. And word has it, Caesar's been making waves in the big leagues.

But Loki, the acting ruler of Asgard, didn't even bat an eye at him.

Caesar couldn't help but be taken aback.
