Void visitor

As the commander-in-chief of the Second Angel Legion, Liang Bing was in charge of just over a thousand Angels, and his ranks were still not at full strength.

Under Caesar's command, the total didn't exceed 5,000 Angels.

Caesar wouldn't claim to know each Angel by name and face, but he prided himself on having at least a vague recollection of each one—after all, these were the Angels who would sacrifice everything for him. Moreover, each Angel possessed an ethereal beauty that was impossible to forget.

Now, one of these beautiful Angels had vanished? This was unacceptable.

Without uttering a single word, Caesar cast a stern glance at Liang Bing and issued his order: any Angel who disappeared for more than three days and was not resurrected was to be reported directly to him. His expertise in search and rescue missions was unparalleled.

Immediately, he proceeded to the reincarnation pool.

He pinpointed the missing Angel's coordinates with the power of the Space Gem. A surge of blue light enveloped him, and in an instant, Caesar traversed countless light-years to appear in the cold, dark expanse of the void.

Ahead of him, a space merchant ship bearing the flag of the Holy Heavenly Palace cruised towards its next warp point.

Upon seeing the emblem of his dominion, Caesar's eyes narrowed, and the chilling void around him seemed to grow even colder.

Inside the ship, a dark-skinned man with subtle scales marking his face nervously guzzled the ship's stock of wine, his anxiety barely masked by his feigned indifference.

"Don't worry," he muttered to himself, more to quell his own fears than anything. "It's only a few more warp points. Once we deliver her, we'll be rolling in riches."

The fair-skinned, hefty cosmos merchant gently patted the trembling hands of the Heishan tribesman, sporting a warm smile.

"You've got a hefty sum here. With this, your whole tribe can grab whatever you need—warships, weapons. You'll be self-reliant for protection," he said reassuringly. "Remember, you can't count on anyone else, not even the heavens! Your destiny's in your hands, my friend. You'll be the hero of your people. Imagine the joy on their faces. Don't you want to see that day?"

The Heiscale man's hands steadied, determination flickering in his eyes. But then fear crept in, and he spoke hesitantly, "But... that's defying the gods! And they're the direct underlings of the universe's second bigwig, Tiangong Master. If he finds out, it'll spell disaster for us all!"

The merchant cursed inwardly at the man's cowardice, though his smile remained warm. If not for the binding oath and the risk of exposing himself to too many black scales who knew his details, he'd be tempted to silence this liability along the way.

He'd invested too much time and energy into this plan, all for the promise of that hefty payout.

Even if he now grasped Caesar's might and influence, he harbored regrets, but he couldn't turn back now.

"Don't fret. Tiangong's ruler may be formidable, but he's not all-powerful," he reassured. "Just stay cool, don't give anything away. We'll hit plenty of supply points and checkpoints on our journey. And right now, we're in the void—can he really stop us here?"

The cosmos merchant did his best to calm the Heishan man with a reassuring smile.

The Heishan tribe settled down for a moment, but then, with a loud bang, the wine bottle in someone's hand slipped and crashed to the ground, shattering into pieces.

The alcohol splattered everywhere, filling the air with its rich scent, but the Heishan people had no interest in enjoying it. Instead, they trembled violently, one of them pointing towards the sightseeing window of the cosmic merchant ship.

"Heavenly Palace... it's Caesar!"

Caesar's figure appeared there.

"Could you kindly open the door? I'd rather not wreck this ship just yet!"

Caesar's voice strangely reached the ears of both the universe merchants and the Heishan tribe.

A member of the Heishan tribe collapsed to the ground, his face showing despair.

The cosmic merchant's demeanor shifted from a gentle smile to a firm resolve.

"All crew, full speed ahead at any cost!"

"All weapons, prepare for action!"

The spaceship's speed increased once more, fueled by burning energy.

In the blink of an eye, it seemed Caesar was left in the dust.

"It's futile... it's all over,"

The collapsed tribesman muttered, as a strange liquid pooled beneath him.

The cosmic merchant shot a stern look at the embarrassed Heishan tribesman but had no time to respond, as he remained fixed on the spacecraft's scanner, keeping watch for Caesar.

"It appears this ship is yours now!"

Caesar's faint voice echoed through the void, increasing the tension among the Heishan tribe and causing the cosmic merchants to sweat profusely.

"At ease! At ease! At ease!"

"Damage at the rear of the spacecraft! Power source compromised!"

"We can't advance! We're stuck!"

The blaring sirens reverberated throughout the spacecraft.

In the vastness of the universe, a colossal spaceship with its tail ablaze.

Alone, adrift in the void!
