At the Inner Court, there were both normal dueling courts and the special restriction-capable ones Bai Tong mentioned. The latter were way more popular, and there was always a crowd at them. At the moment, there was even someone at the arena slated for my fight with Bai Tong whose violet disciple uniform had the red trim lines which marked them as not an Inner Disciple, but a Core Disciple.

I watched the other fights for a while. At this level, most of the disciples used a new type of technique—Elemental Techniques. They could either be bought with Contribution Points from the Inner Court Treasury, or found in the true Library if you had the qualifications. Only a cultivator at the 9th Earth Realm, the Aura Aspect Realm, could use Elemental Techniques, and then only those of the element that matched their soul's Aspect.
