Chapter 13 Iron Sand

Sand Battlefield.

BOOM!!!! BOOM!!!!

AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Hell had surfaced on land, the screams of agony louder than the explosions themselves sounding everywhere on the battlefield.

Limbs scattered everywhere and running over them both sides battled to death, the focal point of the war though at two battles taking place.

Iron Sand: Scattered Showers!!!!

High in the sky floated the third kazekage with sand shaped into black wings on his back.

The black sand hovering around him suddenly turned into numerous tiny spikes, raining down at his opponents.

"Leave this to me!!"

Earth Style! Earth Dome!!!

The opponents of Kazekage today were Jiraiya, Orochimaru and Kato Dan who was nowhere to be seen and was waiting for the right moment to attack.

Orochimaru seeing the sharp spikes raining down didn't show any fear and took the initiative to respond, quickly making hand signs and slamming his hands on the ground.

Boom!!!!

Jiraiya quickly arrived near Orochimaru as a dome suddenly covered them completely, the sand spikes hitting the dome and drilling into it but unable to completely pierce it.

"He's more annoying than the ino-shika-cho combination"

Muttered Kazekage with an annoyed look, his eyes on the dome created by Orochimaru that was able to defend against his attack.

One Orochimaru was stronger than the combination he had been fighting.

Fire Style! Flame Bullets!!!

Suddenly from the ground near the doom Jiraiya popped out and putting his hands around his mouth, he shot numerous flame bullets towards the sky all at high speed approaching Kazekage.

Useless!

Kazekage in the sky didn't show any panic at the approaching attack, nimbly moving in the sky easily dodging all the attacks.

Swish!!!

Suddenly from down a fuma shuriken made its way towards Kazekage as well who had already dodged every flame bullet.

"You know I can control iron yet you still try this, do you really think a shinobi of my rank would fall for such a trick?"

Muttered Kazekage calmly, his eyes on the approaching fuma shuriken as rather than trying to control it through his magnetic ability, he pointed his hand towards it as the black sand in an instant gathered in the shape of the huge cone.

With just a flick of his finger the black cone shot down towards the fuma shuriken and as Kazekage had expected, at the moment of contact with the cone the shuriken bursting into white smoke and turning into a white snake with explosive tags all around it.

BOOM!!!!!

In the sky an explosion set off, black sand from the sky covered with black smoke raining down on shinobi fighting.

The smoke covered the sky around Kazekage as well who unable to see anything tried to fly even higher but the moment he just looked up, his eyes widened.

From the smoke above him a blue light flashed and fuzzy figure surrounded by blue light at unbelievable speed crashed straight into him, Kazekage unable to do anything.

The fuzzy figure crashing into kazekage miraculously disappeared within him, the eyes of kazekage in the sky going dull as finally the gravity seemed to act on him.

"Do you think our strategy would work?"

Down Orochimaru and Jiraiya both looked towards the sky covered with black smoke, the latter inquiring with in a hopeful tone.

"Definitely it won't kill him but we just need to bring him down, though let's hope Dan doesn't mess this up!"

Said Orochimaru with his eyes still locked at the sky, they had created an opportunity for Dan to catch Kazekage by surprise as he was the only one who could attack him in the sky; if he messed up they won't be able to create such an opportunity again.

Just as Orochimaru and Jiraiya were wondering about their strategy, in the sky a black spot appeared enlarging every micro-second.

"It worked!!!"

Yelled Jiraiya with excitement, his eyes on the crashing Kazekage.

"Don't just stand idiot, get to work!!"

But Orochimaru knew it wasn't the time to celebrate yet, bringing Jiraiya back to his senses and rushing forward to the point where Kazekage most likely would crash.

Earth Style! Multi Stone Spears!!

Judging the right crashing spot, Orochimaru arrived there quicker than kazekage could crash and with fast hand seals completed his jutsu.

About a hundred meter of area where Kazekage could most likely crash began to change as sharp pointy earth spears rose up, ready to skewer the Third Kazekage.

Third Kazekage got closer and closer to the hell prepared by Orochimaru for him but just when he was hardly even a fifty meters above it, his dull eyes suddenly regained their light.

Kilometers away in the Konoha stronghold, Dan who sat in a camp with his eyes closed and completely guarded by Konoha shinobi suddenly had a blue light from outside rushing back into him, opening his eyes with a pale face.
