Chapter 15 Calm before the storm

(Siegfried pov)

"That kid is troublesome," I said, watching the departing private jet.

I can't deny that when I was a kid, I used to get into trouble too. But our circumstances are different. I was forced to learn etiquette from a young age at the Kaslana house, and studying was bothersome.

A lot of nobles are hypocrites, always pointing fingers at each other.

I can't blame Rei, though. I'm also curious about Theresa's battleship. It's a futuristic flying ship with a laser beam and missiles. And it's not even his fault that he ended up in Siberia.

Just like Arahato, I should ask Welt if he has Arahato. If he does, I'm going to borrow it from him. Maybe give it back after 2 or 7 years, who knows.

"Focus, Siegfried," Theresa shouted, bonking me on the head with a newspaper.

"What was that for?" I asked, scratching my head.

Despite being small, her strength is something to be reckoned with. As expected of an old Loli.

*Ouch* I got another bonk, making me confused as I looked at her.

"Next time you think something bad about me, I'll smash this in your face. Now let's talk about Rei," Theresa said, making my ears perk up.

I'm also curious about what he did to make her worried.

"Rei has Stigmata," Theresa said, shocking me with this revelation. Having Stigmata as a male is like a myth. It's rare, like a gacha pull, with only a small percentage of males getting it. You could count them on one hand.

"At least he wasn't affected by the Honkai Corruption," I said, sighing in relief.

"He was getting corrupted," Theresa explained, making me stand up, ready to pick up the kid.

"Wait!" Theresa shouted.

"What?! We need to get the kid to the emergency room right now before he turns into a zombie or, worse, a Honkai beast. Maybe I can ask the bishop to help him," I said, panicking inside.

"He doesn't need to be cured anymore. His body is special. His adaptability to the Honkai Corruption is higher than mine," she explained, piquing my curiosity. "I did a check-up on him and found out that his Honkai adaptability is on par with Kiana's. You know what it means to have similar adaptability to your daughter."

Having similar adaptability to Kiana means he'll grow strong with time and training. It also means he has a perfect body. Perfect bodies are naturally born in the Scharic house, and the Kaslana are warriors with perfect compatibility with the Honkai. They won't become Honkai beasts, no matter what.

But becoming a Herrscher is unknown, and I don't want to think about that.

"So, what's the problem?" I asked.

"I wanted to recommend a master to teach the two kids," Theresa explained, making me think.

"Why do we need to hire a teacher for martial arts when there's Cecelia and me?"

"Cecelia learned the hard way by experimenting on her body from a young age to reach where she is now. And you still haven't mastered the Kaslana gun kata because you ran away from your household," she explained, and I felt like I'd been hit by an arrow. "There's also a woman who could protect the two even if Cecelia and I fought her together. We wouldn't stand a chance. She has experience with disciples."

"The person you're talking about must be really strong if she can defeat Cecelia and you," I muttered. I can't stand up to Cecelia, and I can't even win against Theresa.

I sighed and sat back in my chair. "If she can teach them, then let her. Rei and Kiana are bright kids despite being young."

(Rei's POV)

This is fun.

I placed the Lego car I created on the ground, clicked a button on the remote control, and it transformed into a Gundam pointing its gun at me.

"Your days have come to an end, Titan," the small robot said in an arrogant voice.

*Shiing*

A small Lego sword pierced through its abdomen.

The robot turned to look behind it, its expression turning grim. "Why?" it asked, saddened by the attack.

"We can't let you do whatever you want anymore," said a woman's voice, synthesized by AI.

"Do whatever I want? I'm saving us from this Titan who disassembles us whenever he wants! Look at that giant female Titan; she's destroying our home!" it said, pointing at Kiana, who was holding a half-destroyed Lego building.

"Oops," Kiana said, feeling bad for what she had done. "I'm sorry."

"See, she's sorry," the woman robot said in an obvious manner.

Suddenly, her expression turned fierce, and she deepened the Lego sword. "You're just an idiot who doesn't understand that they were helping us to upgrade!"

"UPGRADE!?" the robot shouted in anger. "He destroyed my core and changed it into a lower version. Now I move slowly, and I can't even calculate my next step!"

"Hey, in my defense, your previous batteries consumed a lot of energy and caused you to shut down at random times. I made sure you wouldn't have to calculate your steps. Who in the world calculates their steps?" I explained to the robot and picked up the woman robot.

"You should talk to each other before stabbing him. If he wasn't listening, then feel free to do whatever you want. Oh, and bring me a report on the current construction of the city." I commanded the woman robot as it nodded, transformed into a car, and drove away, leaving the dying robot.

"Why do women always betray men?" the robot questioned, glancing at the TV drama that was on.

"Stop mimicking the channel with your old batteries. I'll fix you later," I said, throwing a small piece of an arc reactor. "That's a new version, use it well."

"I can't use it anymore," it said, shaking its head. "Just give it to her."

I didn't know why I programmed him to be a simp. Even though he got betrayed by her, he's still simping for her. But it's amusing, so whatever.

"What did I just watch?" Sirin asked, looking at the random drama of the robots I created using Lego and random wires.

"Onee-chan, are they angry at me because I destroyed the building?" Kiana asked Sirin, showing the half-destroyed building and looking down.

Sirin couldn't help but hug Kiana and reassure her, saying they were angry at Rei.

Sirin looked at me with apologetic eyes, but I just shrugged because Kiana is a child.

"Rei, why did you program them this way?" Cecelia asked, looking weirdly at the tiny robots doing their own things inside the Lego city I built in three hours with Kiana and Sirin's help.

"It's amusing this way," I explained with a shrug.

"Dinner's ready," Alexandra announced, placing the plates on the table with Cocolia's help.

"Alexandra, please don't overdo it. You're a pregnant woman, so leave the house chores to me," Cecelia said, despite hiring Alexandra as a maid.

Alexandra smiled, feeling happy that someone was concerned about her. "Don't worry, Master Cecelia, I'm not overdoing it. I always do this at home whenever my husband leaves me alone."

Hearing her explanation, Cecelia felt bad and hugged her. Alexandra happily accepted the hug.

"Kiana, I think she might become your second mom," I said to the girl sitting next to me while we both took a bite of the food.

Hearing my words, Kiana became alarmed and immediately dashed to Cecelia. "MOM! Is it true that Miss Alexandra will become my second mom?"

Not understanding what Kiana meant, Cecelia misunderstood and explained. "Of course, I hired her to take care of you, so she'll become your second mom."

Kiana's mouth hung open in shock. "You're going to leave Dad!?" she asked with a grim expression and started sniffling.

"What?" Cecelia was confused and explained. "No, I'm not going to leave your dad. I hired Alexandra to be our maid because no one in our family can cook."

"Oh, does that mean we're not going to eat charcoal anymore!?" Kiana beamed with stars in her eyes, and even I started getting happy.
