At the top of the building, no more than three stories high, Anton didn't respond to the demon. He was determined to kill it, so there was no need to interact with it. Not doing so now was not the time for conversation when hundreds of people were dying because of this demon.
"Have you seen it? Humans against humans—what a horrible way to kill your own kind... Deep down, you know you could have saved them. What has stopped you?" Oleg, with his crimson eyes, looked at Anton provocatively.
His intention was clear: to damage Anton's emotional state. But that wouldn't happen because Anton had been through a lot, enough to not let emotions incapacitate his ability to think.
"Do you think you're special in my eyes?" Anton asked a question that caught Oleg's attention. He said, "In my eyes, you're just another demon I must eliminate. You're just that annoying thing I have a duty to kill so my agents down there stop suffering so much."
"Do you think I'm afraid of you? I am..."
Bang! Bang!
The scene on the rooftop quickly turned into a hail of bullets raining down on Oleg, who was still in the process of presenting himself.
The bullets hit the walls and wooden objects in the corner of the rooftop. Debris flew everywhere due to the shotgun cartridges' great power.
However, before Anton started shooting, Oleg had turned to avoid being damaged. Anton had to thank him for this; now he didn't have to waste time talking to someone who wasn't worth it in his eyes.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Anton took a step forward without any fear. His shots were very precise, but the only problem was that he shouldn't aim where the target was but where he believed it would be seconds later.
The speed Oleg had shown was admirable. Anton had never seen someone as fast as Oleg, which surprised him a lot.
As he had expected a minute ago, the bullets would be very ineffective in harming this demon. He was desperate to kill it, but Anton knew that rushing would only bring him more problems.
However, even with the advantage of firepower, there were other ways to harm this demon, who was just dodging the shotgun bullets.
Oleg, at this moment, retreated against the wall and took a deep breath as he moved from side to side, trying not to receive any shots. But suddenly, silver dust flew like a bright mist.
There was no escape!
Anton took advantage of this to fire the last cartridge in his shotgun, but in a blink, the demon appeared in front of his eyes.
Bang!
"How?"
Crack!
When he felt something approaching his chest, Anton raised the shotgun to cover himself. The blow was avoided, but the shotgun in his hands split in half.
The last cartridge he had fired missed the target.
In fact, if Oleg hadn't run towards him, Anton would likely have been able to get a precise shot at him.
However, as he had expected, it would not be easy at all to eliminate this demon.
Even in close combat, Anton had felt that Oleg's strength was to be feared, and if he wasn't careful, he could even have his heart ripped out.
"Mission in progress... Type: Hunt Request: Eliminate the demon Oleg without dying in the process. Reward: 200,000 faith points and 30 general strength points... "
Anton knew that now was not the time to check missions; the demon he wanted to kill was right in front of his eyes, so he had to act quickly.
Having cushioned the blow, Anton took advantage of this and stepped back. In the process, he dropped his shotgun to draw his pistol, reacting very quickly.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A series of powerful shots were heard on the rooftop of the building. Due to the high-caliber weapon, the shots were incredibly loud.
"Argh!!!"
Oleg recoiled and looked at the wound on his leg. The black blood began to overflow from his wound, causing his face to become horrible.
"I will kill you, priest!"
Anton didn't change his expression and, without saying a word, raised his pistol and squeezed the trigger numerous times.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three shots rang out loudly. Two of the first shots hit the back wall, but one managed to hit Oleg's hand.
"I will kill you with my own hands!"
Oleg appeared beside Anton and attacked him with a powerful kick to his stomach.
Anton barely had time to react, so he received the blow, trying to minimize the damage.
Boom!
But at that moment, when the demon looked down, he saw a grenade that exploded in his face, blowing up much of his body.
"Ahhhh!"
"How dare you, cursed human?"
Crack! Crack! Crack!
In the darkness of the smoke, Anton heard several bone cracks, and when the smoke began to clear, he opened his eyes wide to see a huge demonic figure.
"I will kill you!"
Oleg, who had shown his true form, looked at Anton with his four eyes, his body perhaps four meters tall, and his enormous tail dragging on the ground.
